Happy New Year to my *kitten* Movin’ Friends!
@Kar: Last year during a 10 mile race I was put in the last corral and wanted to run with the 11 minute pacers from my club. So I busted butt and ran faster to catch up with them. At times I I was ahead of them but could not figure out my splits. They were much faster than 11 minutes. At mile 9 I started to derail. When I hit the finish line, I discovered I had been running 10 min. miles all because I pulled up to run with the pacers. From that point on, I just focused on my pace from where ever I was placed. I also find that I don’t do well training with other runners because if I need to walk for a minute here and there, I just do it. Galloway running has saved my knees many a run and race although I am not a true Galloway runner. So for me, I have learned to go out slow and build as I go. And always make sure that there is still gas in the tank for the finish.
Dec. 31: Adding 7.5 miles of x bike miles
TTD: 336.05 miles

Spent the last week visiting family in Texas. Made it home in time today to get in 5 miles on the bike trainer for a total of 101.96 miles. Can't update the ticket from my phone. Must do better next month.0

And now congratulations going out to wanderan and just_ceci! Way to finish strong!
@kar328 - I, for one, envy your pace. Who cares about the tall, skinny girl? At least you're faster than I am!1 -
Happy new year, Dave! Enjoy your last day of vacation. Besides, things may be a little sketchy with me this weekend because I'll be at Disney.1

Started the new year by buying two pairs of running shoes. A newer version came out, so these were 30% off, and buying two pair seemed like a good idea. And they did feel better than the new one. Also bought a cool foot roller to work on this plantar fasciitis.
Took a 1.5 mile walk outside. It didn't seem too cold until I got far enough away where I just had to keep going.
