We have driven 11+ hours per day for the last 2 days. We spent time in Fort Worth with my niece and her young family. We bought Einstein’s Bagels and took them to her home. She & her husband have 3 children plus a one month old baby. I entertained the older 3 kids while my wife, Rose, held the new born and had Mom time with Megan ( our niece).
Then we hit the road through west Texas and into New Mexico.
Today, we will visit Hatch, New Mexico to sample their famous chili peppers, then on to Phoenix.

Fast walk early morning.
Drove 2 hours to visit a friend today. Back late.
(2 hour drive home again - 4 hours is noting compared to @RangerRickL. 11+ hour drive 2 days running).

Yep we made the news again they still can't decide how many cars were in the accident on the thru way. It took my daughter 3&1/2 hours to get home on a 40 min commute. White out conditions but it was first of the month so even though it was bad the seniors had to go out . I am so proud my parents turned around and said not worth it. My ulcer is acting up feeling a little rough. Till later.5

5 mile walk, rough weather here today so haven't been out as long. Doggie had to go to vets today too, so an extra little walk there as well.

@RangerRickL you are just trekking across the Southwest. I hope you are enjoying yourself. My husband is from New Mexico and introduced me to Hatch chile. They are so delicious! I made a batch of tamales, enchiladas, and carne asado these past few weeks.2

Oh man! Too bad you didn't get to swing by and hang out with me and Buddy.
I thought this thought the other day about Buddy. He has captivating smile and laughter. I told his mom and grandma that.
Heh! I told them that I seen that little guy get a whole shopping center smiling.
We go to the park and he even gets teenagers to smile and say hi.

On Friday, I may increase my calorie allotment given how much weight I loose. So far I am almost at 3 pounds. We will see how it goes and I will let you know. I want this to be a lifestyle...not a road race....that I can't continue.1 -
