    Hi Everyone,
Been off MFP and tracking for a bit, and it definitely shows. Looked back over when I started, and it definitely shows that I lose more when I track what I eat! I have about 8-10 lbs to go...but, I've had those last 8-10 pounds since February! Back on track this week and hoping the nice weather will get me outside exercising more.

    Height: 5'3"
    HW: 139 lbs
    GW: 110 lbs

    8/31: 139
    9/30: 131
    10/31: 125.8
    11/30: 125
    12/31: 122
    1/31: 119
    2/28: 119.4
    3/31: 117.8
    4/30: 120

    5/18: 119.4

Had a good week. Someone returned my ‘skinny’ shorts that they borrowed last year. They didn’t fit then. They do now. Yay! My sister is visiting this week. I hope I’m able to stay on track because I’m so close, I want it so bad, and I only have 4 weeks left to get it done.

    Hello,
posting a bit early but some things have changed for better. The "water weight" (I assume) finally went down, so yesterday I was at 118 again, this morning though my AF arrived and my weight went up to 118.9
I'm hoping that this is a temporary hiccup and in a few days I will be lighter again.
    :)
I accepted the fact that I will not reach my final goal this month but as long as I can comfortable fit into my summer shorts and dresses I will be fine. On Thursday we are flying to Poland for two weeks to spend time with my family. I was hoping to be a bit slimmer but I'll go for happier!
    :)
    Here are the stats:
    Age: 41
    Height: 5'2"
    Waist: 27 inches
    Body Fat 20.3%
    Lean body mass: 94.7
    HT: 124.9 lbs
Ultimate Goal weight: 114 lbs (It doesn't like it's going to happen)
END OF MAY GOAL: 114 lbs ???

    April 1: 122.6
    April 6: 124
    April 13: 122.0
    April 20: 121.5
    April 27th: 120.7
    May 2nd: 118.4
May 9th: 118.9 (it went down to 118.1. then up and climbing!)
    May 15th: 121.1
    May 19th: 118
May 20th: 118.9 (AF arrived this morning)
(Happy Scale informs me that my moving average is 118.6

Have a fantastic day and a new week!
    :)

    April 30th: 142lbs. 22.3% body fat.
    May 8th: 140lbs. 21.6% body fat.
    May 20th: 139.4lbs. 21.5% bodyfat.

I'm still injured so I'm not really checking my weight/BF. Do I loathe being under 140? Yes, but I have to get better (I currently can't walk for extended periods of time) before I can get strong again.

Also, I don't know about anyone else, but my TOM hit hard this week. I'm not someone who gets cravings, but I was fighting an uphill battle. Phew.

Sorry I’ve been so quiet this month other than my weekly logs. Having a little catch up today.

On Thursday I went to the physio for my wrist. At the moment I have exercises to increase the range of movement which is great, but all the movement during that session made the pain the worst it’s been this year, plus movements that didn’t hurt before the session hurt after. This continued, and even Saturday night I couldn’t get comfortable in bed for the constant ache in my wrist. Fast forward to Sunday. It’s like a switch has been flicked, because although I haven’t got my full range of movement back, it has improved significantly and the pain has gone (unless I put my weight through it). It’s basically back to how it was in 2017 which is a VAST improvement. I couldn’t have coped a full 4 weeks with the post physio pain levels.

From a food perspective I’m really struggling with weekends at the moment. And on Wednesday my mum arrives and we’ll be going to Chelsea Flower Show on Friday (can't wait!), so the inconsistent logging will continue until she leaves on Sunday.

@Crafty_camper123 Fab progress. So nice when the scale starts moving again. Hope the whoosh is continuing!

@terrencewojciak Welcome! It’s never too late to join when you are trying to make a positive change to your life.

@FitSeachely Glad the routine tweak is working for you. Long may it continue!

@RobinAlex666 Ha! A loss through not logging is the best kind of loss. It does show that you are in control of your eating habits, which is a massive win!

@Tryingtogetfitdeb Excellent news! I normally find that, if I can ignore the cramps in the first few days, I normally have a lot more energy. Especially on day 1! But I do get how easy it is to make excuses, I’ve been there.

@nikkit321 “A well-hydrated body is healthier and is less likely to retain water. Table salt is the most common cause of water retention. Excess sodium makes the body hold extra fluids in the cells. When you cut down salt and high sodium condiments, you can quickly lose water weight.” That quote comes from this blog, which nicely explains water weight. Ignore the *kitten* sales pitch for products you really don’t need. In short, keep hydrated! Another good read (without *kitten* sales pitch) is this Puregym.com article which also links to some studies. By the way, do send over some of those trimmings. Chocolate bourbon cake sounds heavenly!

@leah_not_leia So many causes of WW – see links above. You’re definitely showing progress again though!

@mmurph102 Overall you seem to just have plateaued for a bit. It happens. Onwards and upwards as they say!

@Cora0477 Love a clothing NSV, they are definitely a very satisfying NSV!

@vnukinga Happier beats slimmer. Your summer shorts fit and that is what matters! Have a fabulous time in Poland!

@glassofroses How is the recovery going? Like you say, getting better takes priority over getting stronger. You’ll be back soon enough!

@rianneonamission Hopefully progressing. It's four weeks today since I did the injury (Dr suspects grade 2 tear of the ligaments), but I'm getting a lot of referred pain down into my knee and occasional throbbing in my groin so I'm leaving the decision up to my physio, who I'll see soon, as to what I should and shouldn't be doing.

Mostly it's just boring. Can't walk, can't train, have to resist the urge to eat constantly just to break up the boredom. :disappointed:

    April 1: 142 (21.8 BF)

    May 1: 140.6
    May 8: 138.8
    May 15: 136.2
    May 22: 138.6

I was wondering if this week was going to be the week I hit goal, but nope, wrong direction. Hoping that 2.4 lb gain is mostly water weight. TOM + a holiday weekend of salty food, so it seems plausible.
Still hoping for the May goal of finishing around 137, although we’re going away next weekend and there will be delicious food and beers. All in moderation, right?
Did a lot of yard work this weekend, and also started a program with the Nike Training Club app and I’m actually kinda stiff and sore - so there’s another possible reason for water retention.

Been struggling a little with control (we have rather nice wine – approx. 15% - on tap at home) but, despite the struggles, I have lost just shy of a pound and my moving average has gone down by half a pound. Feeling good! Picking up my mum from the airport after work and am off for the next 5 days, so not sure what will happen food wise. We shall see… Been drinking like a fish this week. Got one of those fruit infuser water bottles and have been filling it up with different fruit every day. I got through 4.5 litres on Monday, and 4 yesterday.

@glassofroses Bless you. Sending positive vibes your way.

@DomesticKat Wow, that is very impressive. Glad you had a good holiday, it sounds amazing!

@noel2fit Welcome! The whoosh should help you reach your May target.

@gutsnglory6 From what you say this does sound like water weight and with a whoosh I would imagine you are on target to hit goal. Moderation is key, hydration is your friend!

@peppermintcaroline Fab progress so far. Enjoy the camping! Drink lots of water to keep hydrated.

@sardelsa Great progress. To lose almost 4lb this month so far when you’re so close to goal is impressive!

Thanks @rianneonamission but it was probably only 1lb or so of actual weight loss... The rest was water and food weight due to decreasing my carbs and amount of food I was eating.

April 29: 155.2 (Trend, today was a high weigh in but had a super high sodium dinner last night!)
    May 6: 155.2
    May 13: 154.1 (Trend) 153.2 (actual)
    May 23: 152.8 (Trend) 151.6 (Actual)
    May 27:
May goal: Sub 150 would be ideal, realistically, more like 153 on trend.
Ultimate GW: 140, then will re-access if I should continue losing.

    April 26th - 138.0 lbs
    May 3rd - 139.7 lbs
    May 10 - 147 lbs
    May 17 - 141.1 lbs
    May 24 - 145 lbs

I seem to be all over the board this month. I did some extremely strenuous yard work at the weekend and used it as an excuse to go off track for 2 days. Hopefully most of the gain is also hormone related water retention. We will see next week...

Goal for this week, 4 weight training sessions and 3 cardio.

this month was definitely a rollercoaster, came back from a trip two week ago and the scale went up to 145. Stuck to my plan that I had set up and I reached my goal for May!
You can definitely do it ladies! Even if you need up just a bit. :)

    Plan:
    - 1300 cals
    - 15 min treadmill 5x a week
    - 6500 steps
    - more water!

Coming in late to the month but better than nothing! I've been losing weight very slowly since Mid October! I am super close to my goal so I'm hoping this month I can get even closer! Hopefully by June or July at the latest I'd love to be at my goal.
