I love May All the flowers, beautiful days. Thunder storms and Rainbows
Lets see if we can workout doors at least once a week this month. Change up your walks, carry a small weight, go a different direction.
149 this morning. April was a success. I have more muscle mass (sounds kewl doesn't it?) now than I did at the beginning of April.

172 this morning.
Sorry for extended absence. Sleeping my life away, one of the side effects of the nerve pain medicine. Back to work full-time this week. Pain is down to a dull ache most time nowadays - like a toothache - hurts but doesn't debilitate. The sciatica has left me with silly wobbly legs, I bounce off walls and grab things to keep from tipping over, but was able to walk around the block today. Starting physical therapy tomorrow.
Wishing you all well.

143.8 this morning at 5:00.
Picking up R&B in a few mins. Must go get another x-ray. The tech did not take one of my cervical spine. ugh. The doc sees much more arthritis in both hips than last x-rays. ugh. The first 45 mins of the day I really want to crush something. Don't know about walking today. Worked out w/our trainer yesterday. Will do it again tomorrow then I have the week off...her recovery...she will send me home with instructions for the week.
Gotta go now.

What does B think of R, Chris? Are they good pals?
173# for me this morning, wrong direction. It'll only be all the better when it Goes A-Way!
Paula0 -
143.6 this morning at 5:00.
Bean is skittish of fast moving kid(s). Fast moving anything, really. I have my opinion of the way the DDD and SIL handled introducing them but keeping it to myself. R loves B and will give him big hugs. B will sleep close to wherever R is. Checks on him every few mins. I think they will be great friends as they grow up together.
Working w/our trainer this afternoon then waiting for call from doc on the x-ray yesterday.
Chris1 -
Paula how is the physical therapy going? Them guys are brutal.
I am sure hoping it helps. I don't like seeing my sis in pain.
That goes for you to Chris. Let us know how the tests go.
Kathy how are all the extra tennis matches going? Hope you are feeling 100% now also.
I have an eye checkup tomorrow. New glasses on my agenda.
Shelley0 -
All my blood tests are fine. I have arthritis in my spine and both hips. OUCH!!!
Shelley, I hope your new glasses are kewl!
Paula, how are you?
Kathy, how's tennis going?
145.6 two days in a row. Makes me want to quit and eat salty stuff all day long. Must look at my portions and see where I've increased what I'm eating. Or it's not walking as much as we were. It's getting harder to walk in the afternoon because it's been too hot for DH. We'll see if we can do something about everyone's morning routine.

Good morning ladies. 178.2 this morning. Back from Destin, we had a great time and walked on thr beach everyday. Tennis is over for spring. We made the playoffs but lost in the 1st round. Summer starts early June. I’m playing on a Sunday team and a Thursday team. My bff and I plan to keep walking and I need to restart. the challenges.i have to say I’m feeling 80%. I wonder if I have to accept that some things will never be the same?
Paula & Chris - I hope you both feel better very soon.
Shelley - my Lillie’s are ready to bloom they are going to be so big. I’ll take pictures.
Kathy1 -
Kathy, Congratulations on making playoffs. That must've been a blast!
Chris, I'm glad B&R are bonding.
Shell, I just ordered glasses too, found frames on Amazon, then the optometrist will fill it. Hoping they look good without having tried them on. But knew what I wanted. Fingers crossed.
Haven't weighed yet. Wet hair...
Paula1 -
Nice job, Kathy!!
I've worn glasses since 2nd grade. Cried when we came out of the eye doctors. Didn't know the world was that clear and beautiful!
145.2 this morning at 6:00. I don't know what's up here. I've been really good, too. This is actually Day 56 of my streak. Mother's Day may break that. Looking at the Fitbit Versa for M's Day. Maybe...don't know about wearing a watch all the time. I'd be more excited if it had a stretch wrist band.
Having lunch w/my friend Susan. Her DH passed in February. So sad. No kids. Two cats.
Our trainer had her surgery Friday. Took her big girl coloring books, colored pencils, book mark with a pretty "T" and a box of origami paper and instructions.
Okay leaving in a few mins. Have a good day, my friends.
Chris1 -
Sorry everyone. Only been walking. DH turned 58 today. We had family over yesterday. Emma and Kaeldra wanted to spend the night. So we watched Mama Mia and Night of the Comet. Took the girls and our kids walking. They love Libby Lu. It was a great weekend but busy. We had a shooting today. Suspect dead. Officer in critical condition. Sad. I keep thinking about the young man at the waffle house last month. We need more like him.
Congratulations Kathy! Great job. Glad to have you back safely. And do not settle for 80%.Looking forward to the photos and you challenging us in the challenges.
Chris so glad your lab work was negative. But arthritis is not for weaklings. Getting glasses for you had to be so kewl! What a great friend you are being to all your friends. Fantastic! And my new glasses are awesome.
Paula my hair was set also. Then I had pancakes and said heck with it.I bet your new glasses are going to be beautiful.

145.6 two mornings in a row at 4:00. We walked at 5:00 for an hour then picked up R&B at 6:30. Day off tomorrow. It's not so bad...really...
Took R&B out to see the goats today. We drove to the park and walked a block to the goats. Pretty cool. There were gardeners in the big rider lawnmowers and gardeners with blowers. They all waved to Ronan. He had a blast watching them. We played in the park about 10 mins then came home...too hot. The slides were un-slidable. He doesn't like the kid swings.
I don't understand why my weight is going up so much. Unhappy about it. **sigh**
Chris0 -
Kathy - I weigh more than you. I'm at 178.5 today - up 5# in one week. Praying it's the steroids and will come off as fast. The meds warn of weight gain, had been holding if off for a month until this week. I need to get walking and working out again soon too. Need a groove on!
Shell, The Big Nasty Spell Thingee set your hair instead of leaving it wet (it always takes a minute to figure it out what you meant to see, kind-of fun  - Fun with Shell & the BNST - Saying prayers for the officer. Life can be so sweet with puppies and grandkids and so sad with guns
Optometrist says they only put lens in their own frames, so I'm gonna have to look around for someone or else return the glasses. I should've checked first. Also shouldn't've been impulse shopping while drugged. (all legally prescribed, Shell, don't taze me!)
Chris, you are SOOO Nice to your friends: shared lunches; coloring books & origamiyou. Fingers crossed for all our confusing trends. And goats! Yay goats!
Chris/Shell Happy Mom's Day!
Paula0 -
Paula, I think the Gabapentin I'm on has a "weight gain" disclaimer too. Just makes me so...ugh!!
My eye doc's sales team said the same thing to me. They even give me a little grief when I what to use the frames I bought from them the year (or two) before and have the lenses changed. I carry a pair in my purse and have a pair at my computer at home. The computer pair gets scratched during the year, so I put them in my purse (used for reading labels and such while out and about) take the purse glasses with me, have them sent in for the new lenses and used the new ones at my computer and around the house. Works for me.
DH left his phone at home when we took R&B to see the goats, but I will send a pic of the day before. Crazy fun! One goat was coming up to DH but got spooked by a tree branch. He jumped, scared about 10 brothers and sisters and everyone skittered away.
Picking up R&B in a few mins. Going to be warm today. Think we'll have to go out and find the garbage trucks this morning.
Have a great day, my friends.

175.8 this morning. I’ve got to move more but for some reason not motivated. Will get there again.1

Holding at 178.5# thank you for the encouragement everyone. Am also tracking today, hope that helps.
And maybe gabapentin/prednisone combo won't derail me - one is sleep the other is distraction - either way the days are suddenly just gone.paula

Time for sleep now...
DH's aunt passed away last night. Sad.
145.0 this morning at 5:00. walking early tomorrow.

Paula I love the new picture! Would the online place be able to put in your new prescription? I have put on some weight. Stress over to many things. A lot to do with Carson, the injured officer. We gathered across the street from the hospital to support him last night. There was a group prayer. And everyone saved up at the family standing in front of his window. Sad and beautiful. There have been blood drives, meals prepared and a go find account. There have been several postings of the actual shooting. If you do look at it remember the suspects nephew and niece were in the car the officers took cover behind. And that Make Carson was shot 5 times and he is still returning fire. His wife is with my department. He has a long road ahead of him and underwent another surgery today.
Paula I hope that tracking helps you. I need to do it also. Up to 153 today.
Chris you sound like you are having a great week. Kids, plus and goats! Fabulous.
Kathy I am having trouble finding my motivation this week also.

146.0 at 4:00 this morning. I have to do something. This cannot go on. Going to redo my meals.
I'll be back.
Chris1 -
This was the best I could do this morning. The grass they are lying on was over four feet high yesterday. They are crazy fast lawnmowers!! You can't see all of them but there are a bunch.

My weight was down over a pound since yesterday. Must of been the stress.
Shelley0 -
Shelley, I hope the officer is doing better. So sorry for your stress.
Chris1 -
Keep it up, Kathy. I think you're pulling me along. Down a pound today 177.5#.
Shelley, My heart is breaking - I can't believe what they are going through. Add my prayers to the group.

176,2 this morning.
Chris - I’m trying to eat more plant based. Eating loads of veggies. Cutting down significantly on meat. Especially beef. I don’t eat pork at all. And need to increSe water. I’m not gaining but I need change for the scale to start moving more. Good luck! You will switch it up and do well. You always do!
Kathy1 -
Kathy - I eat a lot of chicken...although the goulash I've been making lately is made w/hamburger. Made it light sodium for DH. Got it just about perfect yesterday! Do not do pork at all...ever. Gives me the shivers. I have an infuser water jug. I slice cucumbers, lemon and lime into the center compartment then fill it with water. It helps me stay away from junk food. Thank you for your encouragement. You have done great to this point and will continue to get it done.
146.6 this morning at 4:00. Boy am I puffy! Cannot remove my rings. The meds make me tired too. Day 61 of my No Junk Food Streak! Mother's Day approaches...dun...dun...dun!
Walked this morning for almost an hour. Visited the goats again. Paula you would have loved it! Goat owners will probably move them down the canal today. They still have a lot of work to do!! Will do my workout after lunch. Our trainer will be recovering for another week. So sad for her.
Chris1 -
Paula he opened his eyes today. Promising.
He has round the clock volunteer guards on his room. I volunteered for next Saturday. I can only volunteer on my days off. This weekend is already covered.
Chris I really feel for you. You have done so good. And the meds are fouling it up. But they are a necessary evil. And I hope your trainer/friend gets well soon. Wish I could watch them goats with you. I love animals.Happy Mothers Day. Enjoy a cheat meal.
Kathy that is a great plan. Love your inspiration. I have been increasing my water also. And less soda. Seems to be helping. I think you had a typo on your weight. 176,2 is to funny.

Shelley, It will be so wonderful to stand guard, won't it.
He's got so many people pulling for him. Was looking up the articles online. Saw the video. It turned bad just out of the blue!! The kids must be traumatized. Don't understand people sometimes. :noway:
Chris, My last prednisone is tomorrow, it's tapered down to just half a pill. As the meds decreased, my weight has started dropping. It will for you too. Except for M-Day dun dun dun...
Kathy, What you've done is a-maz-ing! Do you have new pictures? I'd love to see.
176.5 this morning.
Paula1 -
175.8 this morning...slowly but surely. Thanks everyone for the encouragement.
Paula - I don’t have new pictures...I usually stay away from cameras. I’ll take a few on my birthday trip at the end of the month and post a few...if I have the nerve.
Happy Mother’s Day ladies!
