I recall going over this in detail a couple years ago.

Then I explained that the percentages are based on maintenance calories. Then you leave the protein (in grams) alone as you reduce fat in order to create your calorie deficit.
There’s an old thread around here somewhere.
I broke it down using an example in detail and people still didn’t seem to understand it.0
