Congrats to @LISAH8969 and @KARID1114 on making GOAL!!
Greetings from vacation! Have had such a wonderful time! It was so nice getting all three of my kids together one last time before the youngest goes off to the Navy in less than a month now. Who knows how long it'll be before we can do something like this again. I'm a little sad that it has to come to an end now. We already had to say goodbye to the middle kid on Sunday night as he had to get home to start college on Monday. But we've had a fabulous time and MANY, many laughs and stories and memories to cherish for a long time to come. We've also completely gotten our fill of fishing to last us for quite a while. I know I don't care to clean another fish for at least a few months.
I also haven't gotten out on any fitness walks while I've been here because of the hilly gravel driveway and the super narrow road that would be dangerous to walk on. It's barely wide enough for cars. But that's not to say I haven't gotten any exercise....OH MY GOSH....the trek from the house down to the dock is a workout all in itself. SOOO many stairs!!!! Unbelieveable... You really felt the burn in both your legs and lungs by the time you reached the top! And my heart was beating out of my chest. The place is gorgeous though with lots of room, windows and decks to view the beautiful lake from. I'll try to attach a picture or two.
Hope this finds all of you doing well!
Dave

@Dave - Is that a balcony on top of the roof? The place looks like a great summer get away.1

And that's GOAL for @CPANUS! Nice job, Chris! :drinker:
Thanks! And yes, Dean, that is a balcony on top of the roof! It's really high up! Probably 60' high and with the house being on the side of a hill, it feels even higher! My middle son had his disc golf basket set up on the sort of flat area about halfway down the hill (you can see it just to the left of the bench swing) and he and his brother were throwing discs off that top balcony! They made it in a couple times...but they also lost about 3 discs in the lake. That was a very strenuous game because they had to go down the three flights of stairs inside the house and then all of the stairs outside.....and then climb back up all of them again. You accessed that balcony from the third floor bedroom called the "Eagles Nest".
Anyway, while we're sad for the vacation to be over, we're kinda glad to be home safe and able to sleep in our own beds tonight and the ability to get back to the gym and healthier meals.

I posted this on my home page this morning and wanted all of you to know how I feel about you.
want to give a I shout out to my “Move Your@ss Challenge” friends who I have been with a little over 5 years now on this site. What started out to be a place where I recorded mileage each month to help keep me on goal has become a family. They have been with me through my triumphs such as my first sprint triathalon to my down moments such as my knee injury or loss of a dear friend. They have encouraged, uplifted and inspired me to keep moving each day on the road and in life. I thank the folks who faithfully recorded mileage just so each of us could continue reaching goals. Thank you to each of you for your love, kindness and compassion over the years. You along with God and my husband have been my strength through my journey of wellness. God bless.7
