My heart is healed - it's been six months since surgery and it is in normal sinus rhythm 24/7 now. Two months ago the doctors weaned me off heart rhythm medicine, and yesterday took me off blood thinners. I no longer take any medicine...

    149.2 today

1 to 3 weeks or so. That's what I've read. Doc said it is plantar fasciitis. :s

    173.3 this morning.

Paula - congrats on your recoveryas well as your weight! Woohoo!

Chris - one of my tennis teammates suffers from plantar fasciitis. She wears an insole and suffers through it.

Have a great Sunday ladies. I’m going to the Falcons game with Ron.

Hi Kathy, Have fun with Ron! I'll think of you while Derek is watching football.

Chris, I had plantar fasciitis and can't remember why it went away. I hope yours does soon!

    149.5 for me this morning.

Paula, my foot is getting better. I have no idea why this happened. I've walked for years. The ball of my foot has been an issue since the beginning but not my instep or heel. egads! It's all falling down!

150.0 this morning at 5:00. Picking up the boys in a bit. Should be a beautiful day.

I had to toss out three large avocados this morning because they were bad in the middle. So sad. :'(

Paula bruised feet take sooooooo. long! Ridiculously long actually. Now bounce back down. You are doing great. :) No meds is fantastic. Hugs!

Chris I hope your foot feels better soon. We went walking on Sunday. It was beautiful here also.

Lots of digging this weekend. More tomorrow. We did let's today. Lunges and squats. High knees and then burpees and a few others. Sweat was dripping!

Logging in after midnight so it's gonna say 4am on 9/18; but actually this is still Monday night to me. Monday was my 66th birthday - I'm now fully vested in social security. But since I work for a government agency with a pension, they may take it away - have to get the details. A coworker brought treats and flowers, so sweet! My boss asked what the treats and flowers were for, LOL, and when she heard, she let me go home early - nice!

    150 on Monday, bouncing.

Happy Birthday, Paula!! I'm so sorry I didn't say that yesterday because I have it on the calendar. I hope it was a fun and happy day!

144.6 this morning at 3:30. I think my scale is going crazy. Couldn't believe yesterday's number. Crazy, I say!!

We walked 3 miles this morning. Happy...Happy...Happy! Icing my foot now. Hoping to walk tomorrow even if it is only 3 miles, I'll take it!

Picking up R&B in a few mins. It's going to be a fun day!

Came home and fell asleep in my clothes yesterday, LOL! Must've needed it. Woke up about 4 in the morning and put on my PJ's. hee hee...

151 this morning. We have a balance scale, so the big weight went back up to 150, then added a small 1#. Getting used to this "bounce for a week, then drop a pound or two" pattern.

    glad ur having fun Chris!

Happy 66th Paula! Crossing my fingers for you on the pension! Let us know. I enjoy getting to get some extra sleep every now and then.

Chris I need to ice my feet also. Or one anyways. Bruised it somehow. But cannot complain when I think of my DD.

    148 this morning.

Happy belated birthday Paula. I’m a Fed also and recently went to a retirement seminar. My understanding is we get our govt. annuity, social security and our 401K (I have TSP). I will have slightly reduced SS because I’m not working until full retirement age (FRA).

I have a one on one meeting with one of the counselor from the meeting on October 2nd to show me exactly where I stand and best retirement date for me. I’m looking at either my birthday next year or December 31st next year. It all depends on what he tells me. Who knows everything may change after the meeting. Looking forward to becoming a full time gardener and a early morning walker!

I like the 5:30 a.m. wake up then walk...this 3:30 wake up is crazy and for the birds.

Kathy, hope your meetings go well for you. I love retirement.

Shelley, how did you bruise your foot? Which part? The ball of my foot wants to be an issue now too! ugh!

144.6 again this morning at 3:30.

Kathy, I'm so jealous of you and Chris! Looking forward to retirement myself, when life allows. I need to find out for sure about what happens too. HR gave me the number to call, just haven't done it yet.

Chris, I think Shelley was reacting to my post, asking you how long it took bruises to heal, because I'd thought that was what was messing you up, before hearing it was plantar fasciitis.

150.5 today. Still at the top of the bounce. Looking forward to getting out of the 150's. It is so much fun to say "one-forty-something" it just feels right.

I have not decided when I will retire. At least not for 6 years.

Chris I bruised my foot while trying to get it to stop hurting. I bought some new inserts. My left foot was fine. But since I messed up my hip, which is better now, my foot has been hurting. So the new inserts are designed to correct my fallen instep. But apparently it was to far up in my boot. And pressed against the bone in my big toe. I did not even consider how much it would continue to hurt after removing it. Feet are so picky! Hope yours feel better soon.

Paula here is to 140 something. You can do it.

Kathy thanks for all the information. Since my husband retired early from the federal government this is interesting to me also. :)

bwahahah! Paula, you are so funny!

Shelley, you're right about feet being picky...I have to be careful how I "load" my walking shoes or we end up having to stop in the middle of our walk so I can fix things because I will end up hurting if I don't. grrrr.

We did 3 1/2 miles this morning. Hoping for 4 tomorrow. Foot is much, much better. Just don't want something else to go down the 'potty' because of what I'm doing to my shoes now.

Got a call from a sister I haven't spoken to in five years...she tried to compare her son...who committed suicide...to Nick. Not a chance sweetheart. Nick was the bravest kid I've ever seen or known. Through everything, he always looked at the upside. He was incredible. Anyway, still not talking to her. She got a letter from the coroner's office in LA stating that our Uncle Paul passed away and they are looking for a relative. She is the youngest of all of us...how they found her is a good question. Anyway she called the remaining four of us...don't know what she got from the other three, but I don't think I want to make the call. I'm the oldest now. I don't remember him very well. He was my mother's brother. Soooo that was my yesterday. So fun!

All I could think was "ugh". but then you celebrated with ice-cream :p . So sad that your Uncle passed away and there was no one there with him. At least that is how I understood it. I want people around me. I used to think I didn't....but now I do. Sending you a hug.

I am bouncing also Paula. But I know why.......
