I hope everyone has had a great Holiday weekend! Chris it is all one long weekend now for you. :drinker: <3

We had one last summer barbecue on Saturday. Tomorrow my DD Sanara is going in for surgery. Chris I know you recently went through this with Ronan. I will be glad when it is over.

August was good for me. Worked out almost everyday. Down a couple of pounds. B) Couple more this month is doable.

    Go, Shelley!

Ronan is doing great with his cast...like it's just part of him. He gets it off Oct 4th.

We went to the Scottish Festival Saturday. Lots of pretty faces in plaid skirts... :o and some pretty great food! I must say...glad I don't drink any more. So much beer and wine.

    Gotta go...

That is the day before my birthday Chris. I am sure the time will go slowly for him. Must keep him busy to speed it up. Hugs to him.

154 this morning. Up from 151.5 last month all despite increased exercise and decreased calories. Must be all those invisible bulging muscles. Actually my arms and legs are hurting nicely. I credit the TRX version of Chris' workout doing its job. :kissing_heart:

Chris, I'm jealous, I so want to go to a Scottish festival! If you go next year, would you invite me? It would be so fun.

Shell, I hope your daughter feels better soon! And hope you enjoy your shells (they should have arrived Tuesday). And congratulation on your weight, good job!

    Hugs & kisses,

Paula, the Scottish Festival is held at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton which looks like it's in between us!! You are so invited! Shelley, you are invited, too! However, I understand if you can't make it.

Shelley how is your daughter doing?

Paula...muscle. Good thinking doing the workout on the TRX. I just might try that!

Must go to bed now...can't stop yawning!

Paula I hope you received my reply last night about the lovely shells. They are beyond awesome! Some will go in the tank. Some on display. But I am thinking my fish would love the large coral in their world. Sanara has 2 hermit crabs. I think a couple of new shells for them would cheer her up. <3

Chris she is on a pain drip for now. I am sure she is in lots of pain since the doctor felt that was needed. They even put a bandage on her stuffed animal that she took with her. <3 I am going to go see her tonight. I worked until after 8 last night and did not want to disturb her.

Shelley, I hope your daughter is doing better.

143.4 this morning at 3:30. Walked w/DH for 5.04 miles then picked up R&B. Worked out w/our trainer this afternoon. I was good today. No junk or trigger stuff in the house or car. Had peppermint in the car to give to our trainer, but I forgot, so it went in the trash outside.

Doc has sent in my request for a shot in my lower back. We'll see how fast that gets done. Legs was four weeks from the phone call to the shot.

We are going to an Aztec Dancers presentation at the library tomorrow afternoon w/DDD and Ronan. Should be very interesting.

154.5 - gained a half pound - but getting smaller because I'm down a notch on my belt. It has to be muscle. I needed this. My arms and legs ached really nicely all day today.

Shell, I'm so glad you liked the shells. You'll have to let me know if the hermit crabs move in to new homes.

Chris, it is SO a date. Next year. Scottish festival! Have wanted to go for years. My maiden name of Fairchild changed from Fairbairn at Ellis Island.

    143.0 this morning at 3:30.

Good job on the belt notch, Paula! That's fabulous!!

Ah! My maiden name was Ketsdever and they should have changed it at Ellis Island because nobody can pronounce it. German Dutch from what I was told a very long time ago. bwahahah!

    Gotta go...walking now.

152.5 - finally bouncing down again.

Shell - I told Derek what you said about the shells, so glad you enjoyed them. His Mom would have liked that her precious things went to a home where they are special and appreciated - and that makes him glad. Thank you.

Well Derek can rest assured that they are going to be loved. That coral, so many possibilities for that beauty. Did she collect the shells herself? I did not have time to take the corals for Sanara to look at yesterday. But I told her about them. She is excited. Guess she has two different types of Hermit crabs. And they like different types of shells. Who would have guessed! Glad to see you are bouncing in the right direction again.

Chris I bet you all will love the dancers. I love watching all types of dances. How is Ronan handling the cast? Hopefully not to frustrating.

148.2 this morning. I was bad last night. :'(

Looks like I'm not the only 'bad' player in this game!

Ronan is handling the cast like a champ! He'll show us things that are red and match his cast. Uses it to help him get up. Runs cars up and down it. He's such a great kid. Going to nap now so I'll be all chipper for the dancers.

You guys, I am going to do this for you too, so if I can be the "good player" and make this low-carb way-of-eating work, maybe it can tempt you to join me in a reduced-inflammation, reduced-diabetes-risk, craving-free, peaceful way of life...

Shelley, please give Sanara my best wishes for a speedy recovery and let her know I'm excited to hear which shells her hermits pick. :)

Chris, give Ronan a get well hug from me, okay? (As if you needed an excuse to hug him, LOL!)

194.8 this morning. I think it’s Tennis...drills and practice. First match Sunday! I need to add the challenge for toning. Not liking my flabby thighs.

I broke my arm at 2. According to my mom I used it to hit my older brother and sister. And when it was removed, there was food galore in it. See my food issues go way back! :D

142.0 this morning at 5:30. Picked up R&B, iced heel, played cars, iced heel...

Paula what plan are you following? Book? Challenge? I just started looking at "Keto for Life"...on page 10! Not sure about it. Gave Ronan multiple hugs from you!! Got hugs back and a car.

DDD had the wrong Thursday...Dancers are next Thursday...we went to Target instead.

I broke my arm falling off the monkey bars when I was 5 years old. They used ether to put me to sleep. They told me not to get it wet...they had to saw two soggy casts off my little arm because we lived near a river in Maryland. Kathy, I like the "load of food" image I got...excellent storage!

152 this morning. Chris, tell your heal to stop bothering you.

    I'm in two groups,

    https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/1143-keto

    https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/394-low-carber-daily-forum

If you're interested in a challenge, this group doesn't count calories, they just watch their net carbs. Low-carb can be anything under net-150 (where the carbs minus the fiber doesn't exceed 150). Then we check in each Wednesday to see how this affects our weight.

Thanks, Paula, I'll have a look.

144.4 this morning at 7:30. Graham cracker flood yesterday...feeling sorry for myself about my bruised heel. Guess I'll get on the bike instead of walking. Can't just sit around. bahahah...sit around...sit on the bike...I miss walking all ready. DH has to set up the TV in the computer room so I can start watching Bosch. We watched some last night. Having lunch w/a friend this afternoon. She helped us buy our house. That's it for now.

151.5 - the upward bounce is back to where it started.

Good luck staying off your injury, Chris, sounds like you're antsy.

Omg definitely a typo. That should have said 174.8 not 194.8. I would be crushed!

Kathy I have one word for the hidden food. Gross! but that is what 2 year olds do. o:) Love your low 170's by the way.

Sanara is in pain. Poor thing. I washed her hair for her yesterday. She was in better spirits and said her foot is starting to itch. So must be healing.

Chris you could draw a road on his cast. So cute.

Paula I am glad you are doing the "good player". Makes me try harder to be like you. B)

    Paula...what Shelley said ^^^

144.4 this morning at 5:30. Played with Ronan and Bean this morning. Met w/our trainer this afternoon. Had a great workout. Going to the store in a few mins...making a new soup this afternoon...that is, if I don't end up taking a nap.
