My mom has been a Leslie Sansone fan for years and gave me a copy of “Walk Off Fat Fast”. Over the course of a year & a half, I lost 120+ lbs using her dvd!! 💪🔥✨ I absolutely loveeee the workouts!! I still do them to this day, 6 out of 7 days of the week!! 😃😄 The Walk At Home DVD’s & eating a healthy diet have completely changed my life!
As for me, I’m a huge Harry Potter fan & love to read! I’m dating a wonderful man who’s a Marine and is so supportive of me! I have a very active job that keeps me on my feet which I am grateful for!! With workouts included, I average about 20,000 steps a day!! 💪💪💪😍😍😍
Sooooo grateful to have stumbled upon this group!!! 💖💕 I was hoping to find some people who enjoy Leslie’s workouts as much as me!! Wishing you all well!! 💖💫✨
Wow, just wow. You are amazing! 👍👍0 -

Now I'm seeing 50 closing in and I have over 100 pounds to lose and have debilitating arthritis in my hips (can't walk stairs) and I can feel my back giving out (my knees were always bad). I haven't been active in many years. I need to change a lot in my life and getting more fit is the cornerstone.
I made a new myfitnesspal ID, weighed in (omg), and went for a walk in the park on Saturday and could barely do a half-mile before my back was on fire. I don't want to drive all the way to the park to walk for 15 minutes, especially when I used to do a 5 mile loop regularly.
I never did this walk at home thing, to be honest thought it was lame. Well I got home from work today knowing I was not going to do anything but sit on the couch. Again. I went to youtube and found 1 mile happy walk. I did most of it, not at the intensity she did it, but I did it. Did I mention I did it. Sweating like a beast but I did it. If you aren't sure - I did it.
Then I found this group to see if anyone else was out there. Granted, she's kinda annoying (at least on this one) but I liked the music and for the moves I can't do because of my leg I could still walk at a good pace. And I liked the other moves weren't for too long so I didn't feel like a total loser for too long.
SO here I am.
I so feel your pain. I just turned 55, and like you have gained and lost so much weight that I also am a fat expert on eating and fitness. I had foot surgery 3 weeks ago and am looking for some motivation when I am able to be back on both feet.0 -
I joined in 2012 and was on a roll, lost about 50lbs and since that time, I took up running, lifting, yoga, and other fun stuff. However, I also have had multiple injuries since I have a tendency to go all in on my exercise.
I am a WW member, have also been on almost every other 'diet' known to man. But in 2012, I really cleaned up my act and dumped the processed foods. With all my injuries, the weight has slowly crept back - up 30lbs and really need to reign myself in- as I just turned 55 a couple of weeks ago. I am revamping my all or nothing regime to a - let's keep moving attitude. I gave my treadmill to my bonus son this week( otherwise I am tempted to start running and my back will NOT like that!). I have a spin bike- a personal fav, but also have a few of Leslie's videos on the shelf. I will be pulling them out as soon as I'm able to wear both sneakers- in the next couple of weeks- and I am thinking I may get the green light around New Year.
I still try to do pilates and some minor things while I'm temporarily out of commission, but I my biggest issue is my eating-and sneaking- or not tracking. I love my cookies.2 -
Hi @neon7girl. Glad you found us and we'll look forward to getting to know you more. Feel free to join in on our Monthly Challenge Thread. I just picked up a 11 class pass to a local gym and plan on using it for spin classes there.1

Hello neon7girl! Sounds like a good plan, revamping your regime while you heal. I hope your recovery goes well and you can get back to walking with Leslie. I love sweets... ALL sweets, ha-ha. Very hard to deal with sometimes. I feel your pain.0 -
Thank you! I will be looking forward to the monthly challenge.1

Hi everyone. I'm new to this group. I've been here at MFP since 2011, I think but really didn't start getting fully into weight loss until 2013. I never had any issues with weight until I had my kids and then I just couldn't get rid of it/keep it off. In 2013 I joined WW for 3 months and lost about 30 pounds. Once the 3 months was up I came back to MFP to lose the last 35 pounds that I wanted to lose. I've been here for the most part since then but have now let pounds creep back on and have rededicated myself to logging my food and my fitness routine. Over those years I have used Leslie's videos on and off and recently dusted off my DVD's and used a couple of them since the weather outside is not good for walking right now. I do enjoy getting outside though when I can and walking around my neighborhood or taking a hike in a local park. I love to ride my bike in summer and I also do a variety of other fitness video workouts and have an elliptical I use on occasion but I find that to be pretty boring so it is hard for me to stick with. Looking forward to getting to know the group.2

Welcome @anname9203, we look forward to getting to know you too. Feel free to jump into the monthly challenge post.2

Good morning everyone. I'm Nancy an overweight [obese] momma of 4 amazing kids and 5 perfect grand babies. I have struggled with my weight my entire life. The only time I can say I was actually fit was ages 17-19, which I believe the birth control I was on at that time, had a big hand in that.
Anyway... A couple years ago I lost around 50 pounds by cutting potato, pasta and bread from my diet. Looking back I was feeling great!
Well... bring me to 2019, December and a doctors appointment. I knew I had gained weight back, just was not aware of how much. I gained back the 50 lbs + 10 lbs. I had already started making some changes to my diet before heading to that doctors appointment.
The first time in my life my blood pressure was high, at least the first time on record.
I am facing the big 50 this year and in another 2 months, according to what the doctors say, as long as "aunt flo" doesn't show up, I will be in menopause.
I received the information from my blood work. I've always just looked at those numbers and thought to myself. Oh that's high. But never knew exactly what I was looking at. Long story short.. google was my friend for a couple days researching every single one of those blood tests and the results I had. I am close to being diabetic, I have been for years! Staying just above that magic number of "diabetic" by only a couple points in my blood work. Other blood work pointed to high numbers in which I am facing heart problems.
I implemented some supplements, Omega3 with fish oil, a probiotic and a fiber capsule.
I walked out of there determined to get healthy again.
I started off by just watching what I ate and using google for research. Stumbled onto a forum that talked about MYFITNESSPAL. I thought what do I have to loose, except for weight. I had already decided I would no longer do potato, pasta or bread again. So I downloaded the app to my phone, found that I could use the website as well, which I prefer, and set it all up.
I have a treadmill, I've had it since 2015 or 2016 but it became a closet. I cleared it and put it to use. Could barely do 10 minutes without sweating and exhausted. I am now walking around 1 mile to 2 miles a day at minimum of 2.2 mph with a 2 incline on the treadmill.
I have been seeking out other workouts that I can actually do. My weight has worn my knees and ankles. I twisted my knee doing jumping jacks, JUMPING JACKS! of all things. So I am in this for the long haul.
I stumbled onto this group from another group who mentioned Leslie Sansone just this morning. I already bookmarked her on youtube and am looking forward to starting some of her workout routines.
I just got a generic version of a Fitbit and working on trying to work my way through understanding that and how to record that information.
I have ordered some body-weight and yoga exorcise cards, think flashcards, to know what I mean.
Looking forward to getting to know some of you and hope to be inspired and inspire others. I am open to any friends who would love to be accountability partners.
Oh and my weight as of today... In December 2016 was 260, this morning weigh in was 221.. slow and steady as they say.

@shefali230673 Hello and welcome! Glad you joined us. One day at a time, you are going to get there.
Best of luck!1 -
Hi everybody! Nice to meet you all!
I'm an expert on every possible diet. I had tried them all. Every diet brought my weight down and every diet was successful, but I could not maintain it. About 10 -12 years ago I had lost 70 lbs, but I didn't exercise and at that time I learned about Leslie even though I didn't use her walking at-home techniques. I knew everything, but I was too lazy to exercise.
By December of 2018, I ballooned to my heaviest of 213 lbs. at the mighty 4'11". I could not turn in bed. I struggled with that and after the new 2019 year, I joined the Y.
I started to lap swim for 3 x a week. I found out that the only exercise I like is swimming. In the be beginning I could not swim more than 5 min at the time, but by February of this year I was doing 1-hour lap swimming and 45-min of light water aerobics 3 x a week. A had lost 50 lbs by February. On days that I didn't swim, I started to do 40 min of circuit training. I was a happy camper, but suddenly this damn corona and everything is closed. Thus, I remembered my old Leslie's videos. Mind you, I'm still lazy, but I'm doing it because watching TV 24-7 is not my cup of tea. I had put back about 5 lbs, but with Leslie and some perseverance I'll take them down. I hope.
I turned 70 y.o. in the past month and I absolutely hate to be cooped up and I miss my pool.
But, I'll make it. We all Make it. Good luck to everybody and stay healthy!!!1 -
Hello to everyone. I’ve just joined up today. I am 61 and a retiree( previous health care). I live in beautiful Victoria BC, 🇨🇦. Like almost everyone here I have been on and off diets most of my adult life. Usually fighting and extra 30 lbs, but once went up to 50. I really like working out, especially aerobics. I was looking around for some walking routines ( I have a foot bone problem- metatarsalgia and Morton neuroma, so high impact is out) that would get me sweating and found Leslie. I love her boosted walks. I am trying for most days of the week. Also looking for suggestions on a good weight lifting video from her. Happy to meet other Leslie lovers!1

Hi everyone! I’ve been walking with Leslie since VHS days . No matter what else I try, I always end up coming back because of the simplicity of the moves and her positive attitude. I find you can ramp up the intensity quite a bit by adding hand weights and making the moves bigger. I’m glad to find this group on here? Is it ok if I drop into the April challenge?1

Hi! Have you liked at Walk It Off in 30 Days? It is a program with 2 alternating workouts —strength using dumbbells and walking. I found it on iTunes and really like it.

Welcome bacpath!
I enjoy Leslie's boosted walks too. I love Michael, he walks to the beat of a different drum! I haven't done it yet, but her Tone Every Zone is said to be a good strength workout. I've seen a few of her workouts on youtube, one is "A 10 minute walk with Nick" that includes the blue walk band. I'me going to try this later. Looks like it will be a good, though short workout. Also, Jessica Smith has some good strength workouts on youtube as well.
Enjoy your day!1 -

Absolutely join us in the April challenge. I too found Leslie waaay back in the 80's. Her "Basic Step and Walk Aerobics" was the first workout video I bought. Big hair and all, ha-ha. I lost 25 lbs doing that workout. Have been a fan ever since. There's power in simplicity and you can't beat her positive attitude. Love her sense of humor too. She doesn't take herself to seriously either.
Glad you joined us.
p.s. Forgot to say glad you mentioned Walk It Off in Thirty. For some reason I have never tried this one. Will check it out.1 -

Oh, you don't know me - I'm the laziest person in the world, but I'm also the most stubborn person in the world. If somebody tells me I can't do something, I'm like a bull, I'll put my horns out and do everything possible to disprove that person while inside of me I'll think and feel that I don't want to do anything and that just laying around will make me happy. Thus, I'm fighting myself as long as I can remember.
But, enough about me. It's time to join Leslie on TV for 30 min.
Thanks for the warm welcome to the group.
