I was sugar addicted at one point, I switched my diet to a ketogenic diet which as a whole avoids sugar/carbs, that approach might not be for everyone.
Another strategy is to pre-plan your food intake. If you log your food at the beginning of the day, you're more likely to eat according to plan.
Good luck, breaking the sugar habit it hard!

Thanks. My husband got told off by the dentist for eating so much junk. So we are sugar free now (minus icecreams which I don't like much)!

@12Sarah2015 Sugar free is how I went, so many benefits, and in my house, we're extreme, we don't eat ANY sugar, with the one exception of the sugar in 1 serving of berries, and only berries since they're low in natural sugar.

Hi I think I'm addicted to sugar at the moment. Any ideas to stop the craving. There is always junk food in our house and so I have to be strong to say no

Just recently I just decided to eat less sugar, a lot less refined sugars, I’m a bit of a candyholic. And I really felt like I went through a withdrawal. I felt terrible for days! But once I got through that the cravings really went with it. I don’t have the craving to eat a lot anymore. One of something satisfies me and I can walk away. It’s really that high level of sugar in your system that makes you keep craving the sugar. Good luck!

Sugar is addictive, and can definitely leave you with withdrawal symptoms. It can also make you crave more sugar, and really it's just a viscous cycle, so less is more! Reducing the consumption can definitely help over the long term!! It's totally worth it
