Wow it is already the second! Starting at 147.8. :p I got a ride stick so I could get Lee Mills on demand. $13. monthly. Lots of choices for when you have to work out at home. Of course I will be modifying it some. But that is ok.

    145.8 this morning at 3:00.

I have a couple of CDs that I should/might/need to do on my in-between days w/our trainer. Shouldn't just sit on my duff.

    144.6 this morning at 5:00.

Shelley, what is a 'ride stick'? And...HAPPY BIRTHDAY today!! I hope you have the day off and get to play around...EAT CAKE!

Duff-sitting this morning. I am so spoiled when it comes to any type of exercise these days...don't want to do it alone.

147 again this morning. Don't know where I disappeared to for a couple days. I was actually 146.7 & 146.5 so today is a biunce.

Found out it wasn't just me. The other department heads asked our dept staff to talk to them. We were going to last night but didn't have to. My boss resigned yesterday...

Wow! Paula...was your resigned boss a *kitten*-head to everyone? Glad for you he/she is gone. Got any idea who will be the replacement? I felt so sad for you because I had a boss just like that...he's still there but I'm not!!

DH and Ronan playing w/Roana's new tablet. There are a ton of games that make him think and move things around to fit in a place designed them. Hard to explain. He loves playing w/his grandpa.

144.8 at 5:00 this morning...I think. Walking in a few mins. We get the boys this afternoon so DDD&SIL can have a 'date night'. Date night to us is watching Cuckoo's Calling while eating peppermint ice cream. Glad I read the book first. Understood why they did what they did. I like both characters.

Paula! Are you happier at work now! Did you guys celebrate??

    Gotta go now.

    Love you guys!! <3

Chris, How'd you do that? We were twinsies and now you're below my goal!

146.0 for me this morning. Being one pound away from goal (and in control) is surreal. Don't know what it's going to be like. (chart below).

I'm one of the people who actually liked my boss even though her cultural style was to look for blame and punish rather than support and mentor. Both times she threatened me were because the auditors had dinged us (sooooo not good) and she wanted someone to blame. But she's human, and smart, and not a monster. And nobody's perfect.

Paula, I just watched what I was doing and cut out the ice cream...well, except for last night...and tonight. :o Congrats on the loss!! You're doing great! Keep it up! I am now 10 pounds away from my goal of 134.8. :|

Then, I'm sorry you lost your boss, because now there's no tellin' what/who you will get. Got my fingers crossed for you.

144.6 this morning at 5:00. It's really windy here this morning. Had to pull up the shades on the patio because they were banging against the polls. We are really close to our neighbors. Hope the banging didn't wake them. Walking in a few mins. Should be an interesting day...

DDD on Spring Break this coming week. YAY!!

    145.6 This morning.

Chris, yeah, out of the frying pan and into the fire, right? Hoping for the best with the new boss. Congratulations on watching the ice cream. And for always staying so close to goal!

Shelley hope all is well with your brother and your angels. So now we know a ride stick is a fire stick. What is a fire stick? Sounds cool.

Visited a friend yesterday after her operation (Wed). They scaled down the procedure and she looks great. Hope it makes the pain go away. Walked home (in the mountains, read "hiked") with all the equipment she was returning and found out it is a much better workout loaded down. Barbara got a kick out of the toilet seat riser as a backpack (the grips make great straps).

I was laughing so hard, Paula! Such a good idea...toilet seat riser backpack! I would never have thought of it. Way to go! And so great of you to help her out. What was her surgery? Since she looks great, I was thinking something fun like under eye lift...neck tightening...arm wiggle removal...you get the picture.

Thank you for your very kind words. Although I am 10 pounds from goal. I have been messing around the 140's for such a long time. Must get off my duff and get busy. I do like to eat...

Yes, Shelley, a fire stick for an officer of the law...hmmm...sounds Harry Potter to me.

DDD is off next week ('cept Wed) for Spring Break, so we get to sleep in...including Wed because she's not going in until later that morning. :) Maybe we'll get a Mom and Daughter Day. We'll see. Made a new soup this morning. Pretty good. Changed it up a lot from the recipe. Tried to keep it low sodium for DH but that didn't work out quite like I was hoping. I like it though!! :p

Gotta go read now. Have a great Sunday, my friends.

Paula I liked what you said about your boss. So like you. I am having trouble visualizing the toilet seat backpack thingy! The fire stick is a mystery to me. All I know is that I can get better apps on my old television downstairs. Which means I can workout to my favorite Les Mills workouts.

Chris it is so Harry Potter. Love the connection. There is a second part to the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. I want to see it in 3D.

Had a great visit with my brother. He even used our not tub last night. After he left we went to watch The Presidents Own band playing at the high school. It was great. There were some young children out of control behind us. I was trying to ignore them. But when they started kicking the back of my chair and grabbed my hair I lost it. I turned and told them to sit down and knock it off! It was quieter after that. The boy did tattle to dad, grandmother started to say I shouldn't have gotten after him. But dad said he had to apologize and sit still. It really was a great performance. <3;)

Paula I wish we did live closer. We could walk together and meet at the movie house. Us take would have gone of fun.

144.2 this morning at 5:00. Going down is good!! Foot is feeling a little better...not great but better. No walking or working out today. Fanny in chair. bwahahahah!

Chris I believe it should have said: Us guys would have lots of fun. I should use my typewriter. No spell mess up on it. Bwahahaha Glad your foot is feeling a little better. Awesome slide under the 145 mark. B)

147.8 this morning. I am happy about it. I was really bad this past weekend. The large Angel died. I am really sad about it. But mad at the staff of Liveaquaria in California. They sent me a 5 inch fish that never should have been caught for the aquarium business. They just seldom live. :'( I ordered a 2-3 inch juvenile. I should have asked for a refund immediately. Juveniles almost always will learn to adapt in captivity. I did get a new one today. They sent me a 3 inch fish. She is eating already. So now I have two. I love the idea of a pair. They are doing well

Also got a red starfish. Acclimating it with a slow drip method. They are sensitive to change. It is my first of its kind. Beautiful.

So sorry about your large Angel, Shelley. :'( And your experience w/Liveaquaria. We need pictures of the beautiful red starfish!!! And after yesterday and today, I may be way above the 145 mark, but Thank You for your kind words.

Dealing w/the arthritis pain...especially getting out of bed in the morning...this is what my doc said when I asked if there is anything that can help, mind you, I take 2 Norco 7.5 mg in a 24 hour period...

Drugs can only temporarily relieve the pain. And one can only take safe quantities of any given drug to prevent drug toxicity and adverse reactions.

Also, with time, the body develops tolerance and dependence to all the opioid type medications, hence taking them everyday on a chronic basis will reduce their effectiveness.

Hopefully, your pain will be gradually better with time to a point that you are able to get through the day without significant discomfort.

    Best

The pain is only getting worse. If I make it to next Wednesday without breaking something, I'll be really happy! I sure hope the back shot works for more than six weeks. I so want to switch docs but then I'm going to look like I'm just after more opioids...sure wish I hadn't switched to her in the first place. Thought I'd have better care w/a female doc. She didn't even read my file before my first office visit. Anyway...Thanks for letting me vent.

Might make a trip to Costco today. DH not excited about it so I might go alone. We'll see how the morning plays out. We have R&B for a bit this morning DDD had to go into work today.

Paula had couples counseling w/DH. He is not happy. He keeps saying he' getting used to the idea of breaking up; but then starts backpedalling. A "separation on the way to divorce" turns into "filing a trial separation" and now is "maybe without filing" and "maybe a divorce by December" turns into "maybe the paperwork by December" (and filing six months later). And now he's saying "end of next year" because we need to get out finances in order; and he's "too stressed with everything else to do paperwork right now" and then he gets mad at me for "being pushy" - duh! what'd do you expect? If I don't push, we'll be married forever and he will have gotten his way.

I don't want to let him call all the shots for MY life anymore!

Anyway... back to simpler topics 162.2 this morning.

Dang, Shelley, move to California! Chris, lo-carb is anti-inflammatory (wink wink) I hurt for you!

I filed my own paperwork without a lawyer to end my first marriage. We didn't have anything to split up except the washer and dryer...I got them but can't remember what I traded for them. I hope you get this resolved quickly, Paula. What a pain.

145.2 this morning. Off track the last two days. I just hurt then I eat. Bad combo.

Darn it, Shelley...Move to California!!! Paula and I will help with the unpacking and picture hanging!

I got The Anti-Inflammatory Diet & Action Plan book the other day. Getting into it this morning. Have workout w/our trainer at noon today then...whatever I want!

You two are the best! But there are way to many issues with mother nature there. Scary actually.

Paula some of us just don't like change. I get it. It does not help but I get it. Good luck. And I know what it is like when someone tries to call all the shots. I put my foot down. And sometimes I even get my way. :persevere:

I never would have guessed this is not your first marriage Chris.

Wait! Hold on there...Doesn't mother nature pound you with some cold, nasty stuff called snow?? Wake up to it...go to sleep to it...snow everywhere that's not really like the beautiful pictures you see with sparkling white mounds but dirty and slushy and nasty ... :# Yes, we do have earthquakes here in California, but I haven't been in a really bad one since 1989...before Nick was born! Not bad. Now, watch I just jinked us! :o Sorry, but I couldn't live in snow kind of cold. You would find me in a big lump on the floor with my legs sticking out one side because my coats and jackets and sweatshirts and scarves and glove and socks just got too heavy. You'd have to scoop me up with a snow shovel and put me in a wagon just to go shopping for breakfast sandwiches and to drive thru Starbucks for hot coffee because the snow...that's not like the shimmery pictures...took out all the electricity in Casper, WY!! You'd have to get a warm towel from the drive-thru checker in order to wipe away the frozen tears on my cheeks. :'(

Shelley!!!! Come to California where the sunshine makes you smile and the only thing you have to put on your arms is sunscreen!! We can still go to Starbucks, Ronan and Sara will go with us. B)

    145.8 this morning at 5:00.

Shelley, yeah, I was 21 and not too bright. We grew in different directions. I wanted to go back to school...he said it was a dumb idea because I never finished anything I started and he wanted to park his beautiful Harley in the living room. Seven years. I learned a lot. I did learn how to drink beer. Took me about a week to get thru a 6-pack in the beginning. Yeah, I was cool! ...nopey, nope!!

Foot on the mend...again...wish it would hurry up. No walking today.

Love you guys. Glad you are here because I would totally give up without you. :*

Chris, Let me how the anti-inflammatory diet sounds, hope it helps, hate that you are in pain!

Shell, I'd say Chris has lived in snow before, she described the messy, shivery, miserable side of it to a Tee. Nobody told a California girl ice was slippery. Should've seen me the First Step I took on it at college in Colorado. Also the First Sliding down the sidewalk like Tarzan. The First Whoops/Eeek/Yikes! And the First Huge Bruise on my butinski. L'il ole Earthquakes are no more rumble than a truck driving by (well, except for sometimes when they destroy bridges and highways and stuff.)

Derek stewed/hurt for a couple days. Yesterday my therapist let me vent. And when I got home afterward, Derek said he was trying not to fly off the handle (we're both fighting to stay friends), and would I explain the divorce system to him so he didn't feel stupid and make stupid assumptions, and how did filing the paperwork in early November sound...

The reason I stuck with him for so many years (despite not being able to be myself) is because there was so much more good than bad.

145.2 today, not twinzies with Chris, missed hitting it yesterday. (Typo yesterday - it was actually 145.6, not 162.2 - yikes.)

Oh you two, snow is not so bad. Slow down, good tires, down coats and good gloves. Shoveling snow burns calories. You get so warm you start taking off those warm things. I wish our winters were shorter but I love the seasons. And last Sunday we had great big fluffy flakes falling straight down. Beautiful! And Chris, I have a HUGE generator. You would be warm I promise.

Chris what Paula said. And get better. Do you happen to have a picture of that Harley in the living room? That would be "special". LOL I hate beer.

Paula I know you told him numerous times that you wanted to do things your way at times. He had to see you were not as happy as him. Sad. Rocky does not always let me be me. So I get it. I like the simple things for dinner. Soup and sandwiches. Vegetables. Both of which we hardly ever get. He controls the television. Though when my brother was visiting he changed the channel on him. I laughed so hard at the look on Rocky's face I almost peed myself! I told him that is what you do to me. I hardly even turn the TV on anymore. Yep, we get his chores done first so he can relax while I try to get mine done. I have been telling him no more. Got to get my stuff done also.

I think they sometimes just take us for granted. 147.8 this morning.

Oh, man! Paula!!! You just reminded me of my nose and fanny dives on some black ice. Walking at 4.0 miles an hour, watching the sidewalk cuz it's old and causes tripping, shoes are tied tight...step from the crosswalk on to the sidewalk, hit the black ice then hit the ground on my back side! I was so glad it was early in the morning, everyone was still in bed and didn't notice Ms Clumsy on one of Antioch's main streets. The other one was here in the new house...going to take Bean home...Ronan was just a thought then...Bean is in the car...I spray the car's windows with the hose then walk around the rear end of the car and slip in the black ice that only took a minute to form, hit my knees, belly, boobs and mouth. OUCH!!! Got Bean home safe and sometime later...my front tooth (dentist made tooth) cracked all the way up and 1/4 of it came off in my fingers! It didn't dawn on me how I did it until a lot later. Black ice is bad news!

Paula, I hope you get things solved soon. Shelley shoveling snow is a man's job. Man! I'm tellin' you, they can be a PIA most of the time. You'd think after 35 years with this one, he'd be trained...but, nope!! UGH!

I did live in the snow when I was a little kid. My sister and I tried to save snowballs by putting them in the gas oven. Mom did not appreciate that at all.

No picture of the chopped, chromed out, air-brushed Harley, but I made sure he knew about every diploma I received...three AA's, one BA and two Master's degrees! Not too bad...his mother and I stayed friends for a long time. I kept her in the education loop...she let him know. Oh, and, I hated riding the Harley and Honda he had. Scared to death. He knew it and didn't care. No beer for me anymore. Not for a lot of years now.

Paula, I'll let you know about the cookbook.

    Later my friends.

Chris cycles can be scary for sure. We live close enough to Sturgis that we have been there for numerous rallies. Longest ride in one day was from Kansas city Kansas to Casper. It was dark by the time we got home. Our headlight burned out on us just after Douglas. A couple of other riders out our way into Casper. Sold the bike about 2 years ago. I still have my leather riding gear. Time to get rid of them.

AndI must say you are right. Falling on ice is painful. And embarassing! It is snowing here. And I agree that shoveling is men's work. But I like to help sometimes. He has a snowblower. But some things just need a softer touch. Now many snowballs did you two put in the oven? How is Bean these days?

Went to my granddaughters birthday party tonight. Two of my granddaughters were telling a friend they were never having kids. I told them I wished we had met when I was their age. I would never of had their parents and then they would not be here. So poof, I would not be sitting there talking with them. So bye, got to go now. Had a lot of fun with that story line. :p

Both the juvenile angels are doing well. Eating and getting used to one another. There is a piece of plexi glass separating them. The new one is much larger and I do not want the tiny one hurt. I may need to rehome the tang that caused Wishbone to stop eating though. I might try rehousing it into a different tank first though. Let the babies grow bigger and then try putting it back with them later. I should have had guppies instead! :p:p

So none of us like beer!?! And we must be the only three in the world! I have a motorcycle license still. Love them. Harley was an amazing company - set precedents for worker's rights. Studied it in my MBA program.

Snowballs in the gas oven, Chris? Does that work?

Those girls are going to remember you when they have kids, Shell. I did not want kids when younger, but have been watching Ed Sheeran's "Photograph" video on YouTube and feeling sad now not to have shared that love.

143.7 this morning. Time to bounce awhile.

Wow! Paula!! Look at you! Good job! I am big-time jealous !

    147.0 at 5:00 a.m. Having issues here. I miss the 143 I had for a day.

One snowball each. No, it didn't work. If I remember right...the melted snow made it's way to the pilot light and **poof*** out-ya-go...

Shelley, I can see you riding away with Paula nestled behind you and me waving to the both of you from the sidewalk. I'm sitting in a summer chair (I made that up) and under an umbrella. Your bike is a cool Harley with lots and lots of chrome, a kicked out front end, and a gas tank is airbrushed with a picture of bad*s* ninjas, and you are both wearing a gorgeous leather jackets and leather chaps. Shelley has her purple gun strapped in a leather holster on her right ankle. Oh, my!

I just don't drink anything any more. Don't like the loss of control of my world.

Going to the Train Show at Fulton Ship Yard today. Ronan will love it! Must go get ready.

It'd take a really long text to explain my original reason for wanting kids. Maybe another time.

    Later, my friends.
