Ended November in the 160s, and kicked off December in the 150s! (Full disclosure: I hit 158 before cheating on Thanksgiving, and am now back down from that temporary gain.) My parents arrive on the 18th to visit, and I would like to be 155 at that point. Fingers crossed!1 -

Apparently I had edit permissions set on the spreadsheet. OOPS! I fixed it and all should be good to go now.
Anyway, I just sat down at my desk and when my screen came on there were still Thanksgiving recipes on my desktop. Too much busy for me. I think I need to figure out how to be so busy and still find time to keep life keto. I haven't lost all control, but things being so hectic and there are a little bit of extra carbs here, a little bit there, and it's just enough that I've added on a few lbs each month since September. Most alarming for me is how I've been feeling lately. Not sluggish or anything, but fog-brained, and I had the absolute worst migraine I've ever had on Monday, so bad I thought I was having a stroke. It is the 1st migraine I've had since going Keto in 2017.
I'm not going to drive myself nuts this month. I think I just want to not gain another ounce from what I weigh now. I can definitely manage that!

Hello all,
I’m in for December!!! This has been an amazing journey and I couldn’t have done it without the support of all my friends (live and virtual). As of this morning I’ve lost 60.2 lbs. I’m having my annual checkup this week which I avoided for the last 3 years and I’m actually excited to get bloodwork and see what my numbers look like. I’m excited for December since that means travel will slow down and I can focus on my fitness goals.

November was a bit of a yo-yo with a testing 2 days for higher carbs, then thanksgiving. But I got a good bit of exercise, hit plenty of milestones on my rides, improved muscle mass, and figured out that going back to a high carb diet is just not something I can ever do again. This I'd say, was worth a month of some weightloss instead of a lot of weightloss. I hope everyone else had success in their November experience, or at least found the will to keep on keto'ing on! Ugh... I really need to stop going up and come back down! Even my measurements for the end of November were terrible, all went up. But I sort of expected this to happen in November and December, to be honest. Still, I'm trying to up my fitness level, and going to quit eating whatever I want. Back on that horse!5 -

The last of my lovely friends left yesterday. It was two straight weeks of out of town visitors. I didn't stay Keto. I didn't go crazy. My jeans still fit. I forgot to log in. My running streak starts over again for the 3rd time. I still feel good. Life is good. Thanks to everyone on here!!6

Dec goal: 265 (or lower)…I hit 260s several times during the week last month (only once on a record keeping day), but kept creeping up. I am hoping to have a net loss of at least 5 lbs (the net loss of 1 lb in Nov is rather underwhelming and depressing)

November was not a good keto month for me. Especially the last two weeks. Let me tell you a formula that is guaranteed not to work. Eat a high fat, moderate protein, low carb breakfast then stuff yourself with carbs, sugar and non-keto foods the rest of the day.
I’ve used the holidays as an excuse to let down my keto discipline. It seems everyday I start out thinking today I’ll get back to it (keto), then a candy cane blizzard or a peppermint mocha calls my name and I crumble. Once I crumble, I give myself permission to cave for the rest of the day. The results are that I’ve gained back almost 20 pounds from my low for 2018.
I’m not trolling for sympathy here! I’m just stating in public to my keto friends that, today starts an end to my holiday excuses. I’m going to stop the weight gain and try to get back at least a few of the lost pounds before the year’s end. The good news is, last year at Christmas time I weighed over 210 pounds. This year, I weigh 178.4. That is a significantly better starting place than last year, but I hope to be even better by the end of this month.
December will be a better month!

I'm committing to ending the year strong! I gained back 9 lbs over the last several months, and enough is enough! My goal for December is 157.0 or less, work out 30 minutes/day, 3-4 days/week.

Hi all - I didn't weigh in yesterday because I just started the group on Thurs. Today will be the first day that I'm getting back into exercising as I've stopped and started so many times. I really want this to be the last time that I start! I want to make fitness and eating well a daily, lifelong routine and commitment. I'm not going to do anything strenuous today, I'm going to start off easy because I don't want to be too sore tomorrow which will be an excuse not to work out. I've been entering my food in my dairy and hopefully that will keep me on track. My goal is at least 2lbs by next weigh in (12/9). I'm trying to keep my carbs under 50g, hopefully less (30 will be ideal). Wine is also something I have to give up! That's the hardest for me! I squeaked into the 160s by the end of November, and I was absolutely thrilled! I don't think I can make it into the 150s by the end of December, but man, wouldn't that be an amazing holiday gift to myself! I took Tgiving "off" from keto, and went right back into it the next day. It worked pretty well (though I did have a massive headache Black Friday morning from all the carbs, I think), so that is my plan for getting through all the treats and such on Christmas.4 -
Hello, Im new to the Keto Diet and only on day 3, but im hoping this will work where other "diets"/"lifestyle" changes have not.
My question is, by mid day, i have eaten my macros of carbs and protein but have like 100 Fat to go!
Because you are still new, it is going to take a couple of weeks to really find that balance, but you'll get there.
When I started off, I would routinely short myself on fat and think I needed a spoonful of coconut oil or butter to make my macros right, lol.
What I found to be helpful is to add healthy fats to everything I eat -seeds are particularly helpful (chia, hemp, flax) -saute in butter, bacon fat, coconut oil -add things like avocados, cream cheese, too.

So far, holiday goodies have caused me a little bit of grief... I'm being very good overall (no alcohol or wheat/rice/potatoes), but I'm not in Ketosis anymore because I've started eating fruits and healthy veggies (sweet potatoes & carrots) and a little more dark chocolate than I would normally. I've only bloated up about 2.5 Lbs, but I don't want to let that get away on me. My new goal is to maintain throughout December and NOT go back into the 190's.
Overall, this weight maintenance is a win. I was a little too ambitious in my goals for this year (originally I'd hoped to see 165 by the end of the year), but I'm still really happy with my progress. This time last year I cheated so badly in Nov & Dec that I gained back the 15 Lbs it had taken me 5 months to lose and added an EXTRA 10 lbs by the end of January. This year, moderation is the key. I originally started Keto in 2014 after reached my highest weight of 211. With Keto and exercise, I was able to lose 71 lbs! Unfortunately, I got lazy and my thyroid decided to start dying and my weight has crept back up. I'm starting back on Keto before it gets out of control.
so I added my start weight and December 2nd weigh-in to the spreadsheet.2
