I had my knee replaced, Shelley. I can't remember the first month - just a blur but that it was awful. But after that, it was great. Now it's my best knee. And I'm without pain.

    Wishing your hubby the best!

oh yeah, 146 today, Chris, we're still twinsie-ish!

Yeah! Paula!! 146.4 this morning at 7:30. Slept in a bit...it was awful, painful getting up for sure. And my weight should have been lower, but I had to finish the vanilla ice cream and some frozen cherries (defrosted and juicy). The container laid in there on top of all the veggies and was not an issue until I got really angry at my doc. Wish I could figure out how to switch back to my old doc, but he isn't taking new patients. I'll just keep checking his Kaiser page.

I haven't had any joint replaced or fixed...they just keep removing things. bwahahah!

I need to go grocery shopping, get flowers, stop by Nick's niche and then get on the bike. Those are my plans for today. So I must get a pot of coffee in me and get going.

    Love you guys!

146.5 at 9:40 - I slept in a lot  (actually got up, fed the cats, went back to bed, even better)

Chris, call your doctor's office and ask if they could accept you. Sometimes they make exceptions to the web page. You might have to grovel.

Paula, I did call and grovelled a lot. I was told I had to wait until he is accepting new patients. I have a best friend who got me with him in the first place...years ago...her idea...but she won't do it again. She said she's not as close to him as she was back then. So I look every day.

    174.0 this morning.

Ladies I checked to see if I accidentally blocked Paula...no I didn’t. I’ve tried everything...even did a help search. It’s on both my IPad and cell. Will keep researching.

Kathy, I hope you find out what the problem is.

147.6 this morning at 5:00. I was a dope last night because I didn't eat all my dinner I thought I could have popcorn then a big bowl of cereal just before bedtime. ugh!

Yeah! tomorrow is my hip shot. Man, I hope this works for a while. Picking up the boys in a bit. Working out w/our trainer at noon.

Well, I'd wish Kathy "good luck" getting me back; but she wouldn't see it, would she?

145.5 today - the elephant seal trip was fabulous and because it was "after hours" we ended up walking back in the moonlight (opting not to use flashlights) - very special. Then Linda had us for dinner after and didn't serve until 9pm and very little I could eat which really helped curb my noshing.

Chris, hope the hip-shot is the answer to the magic spell! Pain-free-wishes to you!

    Have a nice day, all.

    147.2 this morning at 5:00.

I was thinking...just now...maybe...Paula could you turn off your phone and restart it and see if that helps Kathy? Maybe???

Picking up the boys in a bit. Hip shot this afternoon. Will ask the doc about exercise. Last doc said none for the rest of that day and easy the following day, but our trainer had me rest the second day. DDD has choir this evening practice so we get the boys back for a little bit.

    Got my fingers crossed.

Kathy and Paula this is awful! Instant message each other and get this fixed. Or I can copy whatever Paula says here.

Chris and Paula thanks for all the helpful thoughts about Rockys knee replacement. Makes me feel lots better. I have been working with our rescue dog Barney. He is so afraid of people and large dogs. So I looked up desensitizing dogs and found lots of good information. Working with him very slowly. But at the same time he is getting to really be comfortable around us at home. Last night I put the bar stool (padded) next to the chair I have been teaching him the up command with next to each other. I got him to jump up on the chair and sit. Then jump up onto the higher bar stool, sit and wait for his treat! I was so excited with him. I snatched him off the stool in a big hug and told him what a good boy he is. I am really learning a lot with this little guy. He did this 3 times! By then he was so excited we just went and played tug of war with his toys and chased ball!

Kathy could you ask the "help" here to fix the issue? I wish I was more techy.

Shoot...wrote my msg and I guess I did not hit the button!! UGH!!

145.8 this morning at 5:00. Totally surprised but I'll take it for today. Hip shot went well. A little relief yesterday. Pain getting out of bed was reduced a bit but not gone. Doc said it could take up to 48 hours to take effect. We'll just wait and see.

We have the boys and are going to play for a few hours then...I'm going to got shopping, make a new soup because the last two were complete failures...and then I'm gonna read. No trainer today because of my hip shot yesterday...just being sure. I'll see her tomorrow tho.

Got a new protein bar yesterday...Quest Hero Protein Bar. I got three flavors...had Chocolate Caramel Pecan this morning. Let's see how long it lasts. Have you guys heard anything about them? I'm not crazy about bars that have 'frosting' but this one wasn't bad.

Chris I have not heard of them. But then I do not eat protein bars. :p I have wrote and not hit the button also. What a pain! Rocky was given a shot in his knee on Friday. It took a few days to help. And he said it hurt like crazy! I was 151 this morning. :s All my fault of course. Worked out this morning. It felt good.

I don't have a smart phone; I use my computer; and it is turned off every night. How odd that the machine doesn't want Kathy to see me. I can see her fine!

166.5 this morning. The increase has to stop. Maybe the whiskey too, sigh....

Here is the landslide, Shell. The white blotches are white-colored tarps on the ground, and they mark where the landslide goes across scenic drive and through my house. The black splotches are black tarps protecting the erosion from rain. From the overhead view, you can't tell that there is a twelve foot cliff in the road.

The house in the middle of the picture with the brown roof is the old one that was destroyed. The white-roof house below ours and the small black-roof house across the street are the other two that were red-tagged. I now live in the grey-roof house just above our old house.

You can go to google maps and put in my address (either 345 Scenic (old) or 351 Scenic (new) in La Honda, California.

Paula...I do not think your are 166.5. No way you gained 20 pounds over night. I've tried and it cannot be done. :p

I am so sorry about the landslide and your loss.

147.0 at 5:00 this morning. I knew yesterday was too good to be true. :D

Getting boys this morning. We discovered that Bean is really afraid of rain. Maybe the noise it makes...rain drops hitting his fur...wish he could talk.

Have trainer at 11:30 then the foot doc at 1:50. I'm telling you the appt times so I don't forget. Then I am free!! :D

Wow, everything looks so different from up above with the birds! I hope they get this settled for you and the other property owners. I always used to think that insurance companies would just take care of business so much quicker. That is how their commercials make it seem!

I had to go downstairs into my workout space this morning. It is where I work with Barney learning tricks. Little stinker thought I should give him snacks since he ran down and jumped up on the chair! I have created a monster! :p

    LOL!

    I meant 146.5; don't know why I keep thinking I'm in the 160's.

Chris, we're hovering in the same orbit. 147.5 for me today. But I then buckled down: did NOT have a midnight snack; did NOT eat a bagel at work (they were sitting there staring at me!) and did NOT eat two bags of turkey jerky. Hope this works...

I hope it works for you, too, Paula! You know bagels have eyes...right?

Shelley, I think that's adorable! Now think about a 75 pound pup staring up at you with those beggar eyes and you have Bean! He's a big stinker, for sure!

Oh, crimeny...out of time...must go get the boys.

Yeppy, yep! It turns out Bean does not like the wind...rain is okay, but if he see a leaf speeding toward him...or the neighbor's tree branches bending over the back fence, he wants in the house NOW!!!

    Going for a short walk w/DH this morning...so excited...it's really nice outside...he said 30 mins...so excited!!

144.4 this morning at 6:30!! I'm going to try to make it last. Maybe I was stuck in the 146-147's. Down, down, down I go. Where I stop, nobody knows. (I borrowed that from somebody famous.)

Happy, happy...must go now. The sidewalk to the park is calling.

    144.4 at 6:30 this morning...again!! yeah!

Taking another short walk this morning. We did almost 2 miles yesterday. I hope we do the same this morning, although, it just might rain. We've walked in the rain before. We ain't afraid of no rain....well, wait, I think we are afraid of NO rain...we like the rain...hmmmm. Gotta think about this.

Having lunch at Applebee's with a friend this afternoon. Will look at the menu in a minute.

Have a great Sunday, my friends.

144.8 at 6:30 this morning. Up .4 ...hmmmm. We walked 1.9 miles cold breeze going one way...nice sunshine going the other.

The moon was cool last night as it was eclipsing and a big, bright moon this morning. Wolf Moon!! Yes!!

Must go see our trainer now ...bye! (in Ronan's voice)

Back from my Mom's in Utah. Very productive, very tired. 146 (down from 147.5, but still...) - have mixed feelings. Would love to get in the 130's again just cuz my jeans hang loose, but then the extra ten pounds of fat does smooth out some of the wrinkles.

    Enjoy your trouble makers!

173.4 this morning. Going the wrong way. My bff says it’s stress but I can’t let this shutdown control my actions. Need to move more and stop the late night snacking.

144.4 this morning at 5:00 makes me happy!

Paula, bwahaha...I can button my jeans but can't breathe. Can't look down to see if the wrinkles are gone...cuts off my air supply. Maybe someday. Maybe in the 130's. I hope your mom is doing A-OK.

Kathy, put the snacks somewhere inconvenient. I put the peppermint in the car glove box. Gotta really want it to go out in the cold, dark night...

Have a good day, my friends.

Kathy I hate snacks in the house. But hubby loves them and loves getting them for me. Argh. I like the idea Chris gave. Somewhere inconvenient they must go. This shutdown needs resolved. It is not productive. Now hide the snacks and lose that weight.

Paula I hope you had a nice visit and that all is going well. And I know what you mean about the wrinkles. But we will get them anyway. So we might as well be thinner and enjoy it.

150 this morning. Not bad after going to the movies!
