Will be going away from today and don't know the state of the internet. I know there is none free at the hotel and am told it is quite expensive anyway so may not be able to record my steps for two weeks.
Could you please put me down for 100 steps for April as I am not sure of the walking I will be able to do or whether I will be able to log in. I will catch up when I return mid April if that is ok.
Thank you all for a great job.

My goal this month was to hit 55 steps since I'm turning 55 - today - so I'm adding 3.9. Took the day off - because work is never an option - took an extra TRX class with an instructor I miss with this day job - did lots of walking - spent an hour at a foot spa and got legs, arms and head massaged, then bought lunch from a restaurant - I rarely eat out. I took it outside to a bench in the next part of the subdivision and enjoyed the view (and the food). Celebrating with the family over the weekend, but bought a Baskin Robbins ice cream cake for myself. Having a great day if it wasn't obvious

@kar328 - Happy birthday! Sounds like a great day.sufferlandrian wrote: »If I'd realized it was only 39 degrees I would have worn pants on my commute to work.
I had a nice run this morning - I'm a bit faster now that I've lost some weight, which I'm loving. Then I walked my dog - she's doing really well since her knee surgery. A fine day all around. I'm at 70/75.

I’m out of commission for two more weeks . Will resume in April . I finally had my surgery to remove tumors, that I have been trying to get done for three years . Surgery was a success and so far feeling good. But I can’t overdo it. For April may I please be put down for 50 miles , I got to get my body back in the habit of exercising . Thanks for support

Sorry to be MIA.
Welcome country Creek! . It is nice having you join the group!
@Dean: Congrats on hitting 20,000 miles!
@k80flec: Congrats on finishing your race! When I feel like you did, I always say to myself that most people never make it to the start line to begin with and her I am getting the job done. Sometimes it’s not very pretty.
@Tassythatsme: Happy to here your surgery was successful and nice to have you back. I hope you are not in too much discomfort from it. As some wise person on here told me once: “ Be patient now, so that you don’t become a patient later on.”
@Dave: Nice to read all your motivational posts. I particularly like the Mirror Mirror one.
@Kar: Happy belated birthday!
@vhuber: I see that disputed your fatigue, you haven’t slowed down.
@ anaconda: Isn’t it great to get outside and ride!
@Just_Ceci: Looks like you got your groove back!
Adding 105 miles for the past 7 days. 85 miles biking and 20 walking.
I managed not to fall off my bike and get my pup out for some nice long walks. I wish I could get some run miles in but that is in the next lifetime.
TTD: 337 Miles.
If you are bored and want something to read...look no further for my reason for being MIA.
It has been a wild 7 days. My dad has had one issue after another and I am not sure if I am going to be able to manage his medical needs much longer. Every day, he has strained something or his fluid are up or his INR is too high or too low. He is having outbursts because I tell him that he cannot raise his hand above his shoulder from his pacemaker surgery, or he is crying and asking God to take away his pain, or he accusing me of not giving him enough Lasix when actually I have increased it. It sucks to get old!
My chemo dog has been straining to pass a stool and I took him off his chemo for two days now because he could not keep any food down. Today, we have been weaning him back on ice and some boiled chicken. He is hungry but I need to let his stomach settle and heal. I don’t know how his stomach can take 348 days of chemo drugs.
My sweet therapy dog is coming off another UTI and I have to buy a wagon to transport her to the vet to have her bladder cultured in a week or so to see what is going on. She has destroyed my left wrist. I have several ganglion cysts on the wrist bone and I don’t have time to have them addressed. onOn top of that, I think she is developing cataracts and losing her sight. Can she or would it be beneficial to see our my eye specialist and have them removed with all her issues?
And to make things worse, I tried new eye and facial products Saturday night by Dr. Perricone. I woke up Wednesday morning and could not open my eye lids. I cannot take Benadryl because it does not play nice with my Dilantin so I did manage to get a Claritin D in me which did help some. But come Thursday morning my eyes were swollen shut again. I went to see my eye doctor to rule out an infection. Today was better with less swelling but now my face is reacting to the face cream. At least it just stings and is a little flush.
Like I said, one wicked week. If someone would have told me my first year of retirement was going to be like this, I would have kept working.🤪🤪🤪🤪1 -
