I love spring! Today I walked the kids. Poor Cooper is getting old. Almost 14. Ordered 16 fuchsia plants online. I need to get them started early. Let's stay active everyone.

178.6 this morning. A slight bump.
I love spring as well. I received reblooming lillies in the mail last week. Have them in the fridge until I plant them this week. Did some cleaing in a couple of flower beds last week. Trimmed my hydrangea and treated some ant hills. But we are having what I hope is poor final cold spell. It is 39 this morning and the high is going to be 60. We are usually in the 70s by now.
By BFF bought me cute gardening shoes and a hat in anticipation of retirement. I plan to become an avid gardene now that I will have meow time.I want my yard to be full of flowers like Shelley’s.
Great week ladies!

Okay, just got to work with it.
Getting the boys in a bit. Sleeping in party is over for a while. We'll have a four-day weekend in April, and one in May then school is out June 7th.
Working w/our trainer at noon.
Have fun today.

Yesterday we put the snow blower and shovels away...although it is only 50 degreees and windy today. Rearranged the shed to move the lawn mower and all of my urns to the front. Can't plant until Mother's Day, but will be here soon!0

Kathy you do not want that many flowers! To much work. Keep enjoying your trips and the beaches. I don't think you need to refrigerate the lilies. Might dry them out. But I do want to see your in those shoes and hat!
Karen I have been taking out some pots getting ready to plant also. I love this time of the year. Really looking forward to my pots.
Chris I love anything with chicken. Chicken and wild rice are great in soups. Good luck.
Planted some Begonias and bought some freesias. Love those blooms. I am at work today. Just checking in on rocky lots. So far he is doing good.

Weighed in at 185.8 today...5 more pounds and I'm where I was a year ago...yes!
I think you all know that this has been quite a health journey for me but I'm not sure that I've mentioned that last December of 2017 on my birthday I fainted in my kitchen from exhaustion. This was a combination of working like a dog, lots of global travel for work and the time zones screwing up my body, huh not sleeping, all of the challenges of a special needs child, drinking too much, exercising a ton and my body just gave out. I was completely depleted. Huge wake-up call. So 2018 became the year that I took a step back, tried to slow down and try to care for myself a lot more. My intention wasn't to have a weight gain with that but that's how I've worked. So now I have balanced out a lot of things in my life, and I'm getting back on track with eating and exercise and weight. Feels good to be directionally correct :-)
Happy Friday!2 -
Chris - glad you finally have your back surgery scheduled :-) what are they telling you as far as recovery time?
How was your soup? We are big soup eaters here in my house. Always making some soup.0 -
178.0 this morning.
Chris - Good luck with your back surgery. It will be great to get the relief you need.
Karen - we are so close weight wise. Hopefully we can reach our goals together.
The count down is on...21 actual working days until retirement. I have 2 vacations scheduled. One at the end of April and another my birthday week at the end of May. My manager asked if I would consider staying until the end of June instead of May. After very little consideration I said No.
Happy Friday!

Whoa, Karen! Fainting is not a good thing. I'm so glad you got it all straightened out. Man! how scary! Taking care of yourself is at the top of the list.
Here's the thing about my soup...my DH has to watch his salt, so there is every little sodium in the soups I've been making. IT MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN THE TASTE!!!!!! Oh, sorry...anyway this soup has ground pork along w/the hamburger (hb)...I don't do pork or hb. I'm a chicken girl. So I can't say I like it, but DH loves it. I'm taking some to DDD and will report back if she is a fan or not. Anyway, the recipe made a huge pot. Man! Think I'll make my old chicken/bean recipe next. I'll see if I can adjust the salt some.
144.8 again this morning at 5:00. We have to go up to Kaiser then to Target then to the grocery store after R&B...Karen, that's Ronan, our grandson, and Bean, our grandpuppy, are p/u around noon. Then some reading, if I'm lucky.
Chris0 -
Chris so excited for you. Fingers crossed and prayers said.
Kathy do not stay longer. That is how they suck you back in for another 20!
Paula where is the photo of your new tattoo? I want to see it.
Karen I am glad you did not get seriously injured with that eye opener! Great job on your come back.

178.2 this morning. Headed to an away Tennis match. About an hour away from my house. It’s going to be 80 for the first time in Georgia this spring. Should be a great day!
Kathy1 -
Thanks, Shell, but I'm not sure she'd like her talons trimmed. She got this odd look on her face when I told her you offered. You might want to watch your back for a little... :noway:
143.6 for me today. The bounce is being good. Went to see music yesterday a wind bar yesterday which was such an incredibly fun experience.
Kathy, enjoy your tennis! Stay hydrated!

145.6 this morning at 6:00. Yeah, my bounce is getting higher and higher...
Went to a "Sprinkle" Shower today. DDD's best girlfriend is having her second baby in about 6 weeks. There was so much sugar floating around! Man! Think I did pretty good though...well, maybe. It was fun.
Going to drink coffee and read now.
Chris0 -
Kathy you will have a great time! Crossing my fingers for you and your team!
Paula I have some Dragon traps from my un-seelie friend. Thanks for the warning.
Chris the baby shower sounds wonderful!
Walked with my DD and her dog Moxie. The puppy still has another set of shots then she can join us. They all did pretty good.
Shelley0 -
145.6...well, at least it's not any higher!
DDD, SIL & Ronan are all sick. DDD & SIL stayed home form work. We got Ronan for a few hours so the kids could rest a bit. They picked him up just before I left to meet w/our trainer. DH has it too...he started it. My workout was good. Must go to Target now.
Chris1 -
143.6 this morning at 5:00. Nice bounce...Yeah!
I caught the family throat/cold disease! First DH then Ronan then SIL then DDD and now it's my turn...ugh! DH is over it. The rest of us are not.Got hot flashes! Crazy... haven't had them for a while.

Chris that is awful! No one wants to be sick. And hot flashes just suck! Get well soon.
Got my workout in this morning. I did 20 pound flys today. My shoulder was a bit iffy on it. But I am so glad to have them done. Shoulder just keeps getting better every day.
Shell1 -
Hope you feel better soon Chris!
Kathy1 -
Thank you, my friends. Feeling much better today. If I keep feeling better, I'll workout w/our trainer tomorrow.
144.6 this morning at 5:00. Had popcorn yesterday. Salt...salt....salt...Picking the boys up in a bit. Grocery store after SIL gets them around noon. Maybe a new soup this afternoon. Maybe my old chicken/bean soup but lower in salt...hmmm...yeah, maybe.
Chris1 -
187.5 this morning..... such a tough week at work! 2 dinners out which is unusual for me. Really try to eat at home as much as possible. Did pretty well thank goodness. All of these leaders at work cramped my exercise unfortunately. I will get to my four days this week but won't get more than that which is okay. Going to head to the gym in a couple of minutes here great way to start a Friday :-)
Heading to Belgium tomorrow night for the week for work. Belgium is one of my least favorite food places to travel. All they eat is a little sandwiches. And I mean bread and like a very thin slice of meat and cheese. It's a nightmare LOL! So I did order a pack of travel MCT oils and a couple of other high protein snacks to Take Along. Hopefully it will work out well.
Have a great friday!1 -
Wow! Karen! You get to go everywhere. So impressed. Have fun.
Ate things I'm not supposed to....but I don't feel good.
DDD has to go into work today. SIL is going w/her to help out. We are getting R&B in a bit so they can do whatever it is they have to. Should be a fun morning.
Later my friends,
Chris1 -
I came down the the creepy crud the day before flying to Utah. Trying not to share. What a pain, no hugs for my beautiful mother.
Chris hope you're over it soon.
Karen, When Chris says R&B she means grandson and granddog Ronan and Bean (not rhythm & blues).
Shell, So glad you're shoulder is getting together. In my mind you will always be a monster. :smoking:
No idea what I weigh, no scale in Utah.
Paula0 -
Paula I am so sorry you are not able to give your mom a hug. I am sure it is frustrating. Get well and enjoy your visit.
Karen just throw away some of the bread.
Chris hope you are well.
Kathy how is your garden doing?
I had some Chinese food at my favorite restaurant today.Lots of spring flowers poking their heads up. I just love spring.
