@Ketch_22
My husband and I are on a weight loss fitness journey together and sometimes I have to really explain again and again why certain foods fit into his plan but not mine. He can eat more then twice the calories I can each day, I am much pickier with mine.
It was awesome the other when he handed me a jar to open, seven months of weight lifting! My husband is a runner and also naturally a very strong guy but I got the jar open!
Great! yes it's liberating to get your hand strength back. I guess it's use it or lose it. My husband has turned into my science experiment that's why I felt his loss was my NSV lol3 -
Pretty eastern bluebird in our oak tree this morning...

Our walk this morning with Annie...we got lots of exercise! The Lilac Festival is over...but the lilacs are at their peak, now. Lots of other flowering plants and shrubs, as well.

FYI...photos above taken at Highland Park, Rochester NY. It's a bit of a hike for us to get there...but a wonderful dog friendly park for walks with Annie. The very first photo of the group is of the Vietnam memorial walk where each standing stainless steel marker is a tribute to the American soldier who gave his life in service to our country.8

What day of the week is the hardest for you - food wise? It seems to me that Friday's are my worst. I know it's a mindset that just needs adjusting, but I feel like I've done great all week and I just want to eat whatever on Friday. It doesn't help that the food vendor at my work on Friday is a taco place that has amazing queso. I just realized this today, so now that I know, maybe next Friday won't be as bad! Also, I had the queso, and will some how, some way fit it into my goals!3

Thinking of my two brothers as we approach Memorial Day here in the states. Both were in the Navy. My oldest brother Bill served in the Korean war and won awards for volunteering for dangerous missions (he was single at the time) and my youngest brother Ben served in peacetime, mostly around the Mediterranean. I'm also proud of my husband, who served in the Air Force but is still with us. Ben is pictured below.

Does anyone know why the MFP weight loss tickers don't work?0

I have been doing pretty well with our big three questions. (not "winner's circle" good) I need to add a couple questions of my own. Like, how much sodium did I eat? How much sugar did I eat?2

Today, I am thankful that no one was hurt in the tornadoes and storms that came thru the KC area last night.2

Hello, everybody! Starting tomorrow, through June 10, I will be off grid: Going on that vacation that y'all gave me eating-out pointers for! I've committed with family members to keep up with my daily exercise (I'm always good about that) -- and, for eating out, my mom and I are going to split the appetizer portion of the fried seafood we REALLY want and a dinner salad. We're also going to be good about our groceries (not stocking the kitchen with Cheezits this year!)
All that said, I will not be tracking my calories, and I won't be checking in here. I need a break from all things digital, and I don't want to be worried about writing down everything I eat.
HOWEVER, I DO want to join the June challenge to get back on track when I return. Thank you so much for your support!2 -
Have a great trip, @Lilutz!!

Interesting statistical results for anyone into counting steps...Is 10,000 the magic number? Perhaps not!

These findings may serve as encouragement to the many sedentary individuals for whom 10 000 steps/d pose an unattainable goal.0
