I have had two weddings and three birthdays in last two weeks so I haven't been very strict. Indulged myself a few times. Had no loss for two weeks but back I'm.back.and losing.

Wow, I'm not sure what to make of today's weigh-in...shocked but delighted! It's funny how this works. Just two days ago I was barely hopeful that I'd reach 199 (my goal for May) by the end of June. I really struggle with a tendency to have weight loss be a "numbers game" where I get discouraged when neither the scale nor the tape measure reflect my efforts. I'd rather focus on moving forward on this journey of healthy eating as a permanent way of life and its own reward with a lifetime of maintenance. Still, being at a weight I haven't seen in two-and-a half years is exciting and encouraging. It feels great to see Onederland again. That's 26.8 pounds off since March (almost half of my 5-year regain). Now on to the next goals. KCKO y'all!!!8 -

No scale love this week but, admittedly, I ate a piece of birthday cake with my mama on her birthday and had a couple more drinks than I should have throughout the week. I was going to try 16/8 IF, but I really like to eat breakfast 5:30a and eat with my family 6-7p... Is 12/12 IF a thing? Also going to try to be better about tracking because I'm guessing there are some sneaky carbs since I've been lazy.

I am super excited for July as I will be flying to San Diego (my favorite place) for a conference, but I will also be seeing friends I have not seen in a while and there's something very satisfying about knowing I will be showing up and looking better than I have in years!
ALSO! I will be defending my dissertation on July 18!! It's absolutely unreal that after 6 years, this journey is coming to an end. Now I just need one of those pesky job things that everyone talks about5 -

My losses have really slowed this month, and I'm not sure why. I mean, I'm still losing, but not at the rate I should be according to my deficit. I'm not going to get anywhere close to my goal weight for the month and I'm really bummed about it. Oh well.2 -

My second oldest of four sons graduated on the weekend. He is starting Culinary Arts school in August so of course he wanted to celebrate with dinner at Kojan Sushi (his favourite). I made fairly reasonable choices for food but then we capped the day off with bubble Tea..so much sugar but totally worth sharing this moment as he moves to the next stage of his journey. Still in the 150's so no complaints here.

I'm a wine drinker, although I've slowed down recently. I'm planning a dry June. I'm curious to see what this will do to my weight since I've been stuck at 170 for a month.
As a winery owner, I find myself in a position to be tasting very often. I've switched to just the dry reds, and only allow myself a small glass when working in the tasting room - once or twice a week. It's very evident that I've "partaken" the previous day when I weigh myself in the morning. The up-weight goes away quickly, but can really undermine my efforts if I over-do it.0 -
@wannabpiper ahhhhhh that is like working in an sweet shop or in my case somewhere with unwrapped cashew nuts everywhere. I know what you mean about alcohol though, I rarely drink but and it's a big but/butt I do when we are out for a meal or we have friends round or like this coming weekend when it's my husband's birthday and we have a big family party. I opted to cook rather than go out so I know what's in the food, (or will do once I've thought about what to cook!) Unfortunately someone will say have a glass of fizz and I'll say yes and not just to one! Can't wait for the scales Sunday.............1

Also, I'm sorry, but WTF!! Weighed myself when I got up, after visiting the loo of course. Had a shower and then a coffee and weighed myself again, so either I have water permeable skin or a cup of coffee weighs almost a pound!0

Lost about 6 lbs this month! Lots of weird late nights and odd eating times. Theater performances the last 2 weeks. 3 oz of almonds for dinner etc...
Going camping for the next 2 weeks, really RVing so there are more food options. Feels like I am planning well so far but we will see when i get back! Planning on counting carbs and sodium when I am gone and actually starting today. Being mindful of calories, but going to try the listen to my body. Still no sugar carbs, no smores, no etc... Wish me luck and even though I may or may not be on here (wifi is spotty in the mountains) I will check back in with a report and back on this app in mid July. Happy Saturday everyone!5 -

SOOO close!!! Oh well, I am super happy with this month. I'm getting closer to a healthy weight, so the losses will be getting smaller each week. But, I still lost 5.7 lbs this month and that is great!
I'm at the lowest weight of my entire adult life; I feel great physically and mentally; I'm getting more exercise more consistently than ever before. Also! My jeans have gone from a tight size 12 to a comfortable size 6 (!!!!!!). I've never been in a 6 before.
Bring on July! I am going to keep on keepin' on, and see where this next month takes me.

Been super busy at work, this time of year is very busy for a Theme Park, working 14 hour shifts and it will be that way through August. Then we have a few weeks of slow time before Halloween Horror Nights starts(which is the most busy time of the year). I also went to Seattle/Olympia for vacation so that is also why I didn't weigh in the last couple of weeks. I hope I can get back to steady losing soon. Everyone have a good day!!

I started IF this month after watching some Dr. Fung videos on dietdoctor.com. It’s amazing how well this is working for me even though I don’t do it perfectly.
