Wow, so much has gone on while I was out! Rest assured I was with you all in spirit all the same. My heart goes out to all of you who've lost family members and pets, and also to those that are recovering from surgery and illnesses.
My trip was very challenging due to the weather. It rained part of every day except for one. We got pretty good at getting our rain gear on in a hurry. Sometimes even before we got soaked. There was also hail twice during the week, 50-60 mph cross winds during one rainstorm, sleet, extreme sun, extreme cold... but it was quite the memorable adventure that, after I recover from it, I'll probably look back on it fondly or at least with some humor. lol It was a good bonding time with my friends and despite the challenges we faced, we stuck together and always had each other's backs. Oh and I got to brush up on my "wingman" skills for the single guy in the group during a couple of outings which was entertaining and fun for me. LOL It's been a long time since I did that. He's a pretty good guy so it really was a pleasure to help him out. He hasn't had it very easy and, like everyone of course, he really deserves to be happy.
Anyway, it's good to be back. And no, unfortunately, I did not get to meet up with Dean. We didn't actually ever make it to Montana. The closest we got was probably Casper or Cody, Wyoming. The Big Horn Mountains were gorgeous though and we got to see them during one of the few stretches of blue skies.
