Saw a guy with a flat tire on my way to work. Same size wheels as me so I stopped and replaced his tube. Takes me about 5 minutes to I really had to hoof it in to work from there. Still, he had three miles to go and he was pushing the bike. Glad I stopped.3

@Dean - Beautiful pictures! Thank you for sharing them.

We get cool fierce wind. Next two days are hot as the dickens w/no wind, high dark clouds and no cool down at night. Following day...today...is beautiful w/light cool breeze. Crazy!

June 13-15: Adding 18.75 miles of walking 15 and running 3.75 miles
TTD: 144.9 miles
@Dean:I will definitely give you a heads up when I head out that way. So nice of you to help the person with the flat. And again such gorgeous photos! So jealous of your views.
This has been a tough 48 hours. I put my cancer pup to sleep on Thursday. Still a bit in shock as he was having a great day. We took a nice walk, he ate well, but he developed gastric bloat not long after dinner. We rushed him to the ER and they confirmed it. We were prepared to do surgery but the ER vet did not recommend it because he did not think he would come through surgery and his chest X-ray showed lots of lesions in his lungs so the cancer was spreading. We can’t second guess our decision or we will go buggy but to have a dog doing fine one minute and then gone the next was not the way we expected him to go. We were happy we had some time with him and that they made him comfortable before we released him. Our hearts are broken and my dad and hubby are taking it very hard as they were best buds. I guess it was a man thing. I wish my leg was up to par because I would have gone out and ran till I couldn’t run any further.

@clepant - I'm so sorry about your dog.
@k80flec - sorry your head has not been in a good place.
I've had a tough week too. This is always a very busy week for me due to a volunteer organization I run, and to top it off we had a death in the family. As hard as it is so say goodbye to our dogs, we really treat them better than humans some times. It's terrible to watch any living creature suffer.
On a brighter note, I have managed to keep my running streak alive for 3 weeks now - I've run at least a mile (most days just that) every day. As much as I hate that I'm only running a mile, given the week I've had the truth is I probably wouldn't have run at all if I hadn't been determined to keep the streak up, and for that I'm thankful.
Keep on moving my friends, and take care of yourselves!2 -

@clepant I'm so sorry for your loss. What a powerful picture
@k80flec Sending a hug
2.8 mile walk. Had to reroute and back out of part of the greenway. Heard a bunch of creepy howling up ahead. Two days ago someone reported a pack of about ten dogs running a few miles from here and I think I found them. I couldn't see them because the lake has a lot of curves but that was an eerie sound. Went another way and went home and called animal control.
Also had a snake in my flowerbed when I came home from the store this morning. It's been a fun day for nature

My dear... @clepant ... words can not express the sadness you feel when you lose a beloved fur baby ... I feel your pain... my one year anniversary is coming up and I have no idea how I am going to cope with that... I miss him so very much every day... just know that your little fur baby is pain free now and misses you just much as you miss0
