I am feeling a little disappointed but trying not to get frustrated. I keep saying to myself, "Weight loss is not linear" and "I am doing this for long-term health and well-being, not to look cute and skinny at my party next week." It can be hard to remember those things when I get stalled.
This week I listened to Dr. Jason Fung's "The Obesity Code" and "The Complete Guide to Fasting." While I do listen to keto podcasts to stay informed on health and nutrition, listening to these two books was the deep-dive I needed to refresh and strengthen my knowledge. I've been focusing so much on calories but the books reminded me that it's primarily insulin that drives weight gain and loss, and that's why keto works.
Anyway, I feel really recharged and invigorated, like I am moving forward with the fresh energy I had back when I first started this way of eating.

So been missing in action almost all month but I'm back and less than a pound heavier which I'll take. It's been one seriously chaotic month to put it mildly but hopefully I can pick myself up and loose some weight rather than my mind!

Keto is really amazing. I don't know what to say, but I didn't expect to meet July Goal Weight. I was disappointed when I stepped on the scale last Sunday, but today I understood that this is how my body reacts. I had a whoosh and I've lost a total of 9.5 lbs in July.
