Thought I’d start a July thread, I am feeling motivated today and hoping it continues throughout the month and I can finally start losing!!

I'd like to join. My goal is maintenance/not too much of a gain the first week of the month since I'm traveling and won't have a scale/will be much harder to assess calories and track. If I can watch my portions, move every day and drink lots of water for this first week I'll be happy and then work on weight loss the rest of the month.

I've decided to ditch the dairy as I have likely been eating too much of it, although within my macros. I have Celiac disease and when first dx'd I could not eat dairy at all - sensitivities (common with celiacs.) I may be back at that point again since I probably have been overdoing it for a while now.
Stress is also a continuing factor as I'm still off city patrol due to PTSD - getting therapy tho.2 -

I would love to join. Haven't posted in the longest time but keen to have a good month! It's winter where I am and I've been surprisingly good at keeping at my early morning workouts Recently started with SWEAT's Kelsey Wells' PWR 1.0 program so really feeling it! As with so many of us I am on track with cals (often significantly under due to getting busy at work) during the week and then fall off/stop tracking over the weekend. This might be due to too large a deficit so I'm upping my calories a bit so I (hopefully) feel less ravenous and unsatisfiable come week end, but still in a deficit obvs. My stats:

I was on Keto but I've been off ketosis for sometime now. Too much fruits and drinks...

Need to maintain and BACK OFF THE WINE! A glass while cooking, 1 with dinner, 1 later in the evening. Usually between 4-930 pm. Too many cals.3 -
I've had a good start to the month so far Aaalmost got pizza for dinner last night but luckily the friends who came over had eaten before coming so I whipped up some quick eggs and avocado on toast. Also was starving while at the shops earlier in the day and grabbed a 100g baggy of tree nuts as a "healthy snack". Literally 580 cals! Like, I know this. Nuts are high fat and therefore high cal and just because they're high cal doesn't make them unhealthy at all, it just makes them high cal. But OMG was that number a shocker. Anyway it matters not! Day 3 less go!

I was bad on holiday, then struggled to get back in a routine after. I have found my routine again now, with the exception of last night when I drank homebrewed cider (hic) and went out for dinner (with wine: more hic). Mind you, impressed that I'm only 1.2lbs up versus yesterday.

7/1... 146.4 - Monday on every level possible. Dismal failure with eating and not much exercise.
7/2... 147.2 - Started 30 min Yoga Burn at lunch, it's a 4 month program. Pretty easy the first day, also did 10 pushups on my knees. Better on food, stayed under 1400 cal. (Even with company)
7/3... 147.4 - Day 2 of Yoga Burn. Also did 10 Sun Salutations

Day 3 went as planned with nothing major to report I did go passed the shops again and was starving (again) and opted for jelly sweets instead, high sugar but much lower calories than the nuts. Did make sure to reach my protein goal by adding a protein shake in the morning. The scale hasn't moved at all which is annoying but I'll give it a week at the least before making any changes.

I'll join in this month, even though I'm expecting this month to go slow since last month went awesome! I don't really understand how though, since I had 2 weeks vacation and *really* feared the scale on my return but miracles do exist: I actually managed to hit my first goal (68kg)! So now moving on to the second one (66.8kg) which is supposedly my ideal BMI (21.5).
I do IF (combined with lowcarb), and that seems to helps me a lot. Love to have trained my body to not get hungry and just use up the fat reserves.
I also decided to do a no-alcohol month (my big nemesis) because last month was WAY over the top. Hope that will help a bit too. Will be so difficult though!

Ha I have the same no booze policy (just for this month). I honestly find that harder than eating little! Does this mean I have a problem?2 -
So far so good Happy about my food intake and workouts so far this week, but the week is always wayyy easier than the weekend. We already have our mid-year event at work on Friday night. I will just try and be mindful because tracking accurately will be very hard. Scale is still literally not moving at all ugh

Omg so far for my no-alcohol policy this month...
Went on a date yesterday and he really wanted to share a bottle of wine. My first drink was a mocktail, but then I couldn't resist anymore and joined in... Ended with baileys afterwards and shots
I have officially no willpower.
I wonder how much the monday weigh-in is going to punish me. To compensate, I'm fasting today though.1 -
I can't even pretend to have an alcohol free week much less a whole month lol4

Soooo the weekend.. yeah. Tracked Friday before dinner but didn't track at the function because it was just a bunch of finger foods which are impossible to track and probably sooo calorically dense but ah well, we had a good time. Saturday also started good but then had McDonalds and went to friends' for dinner. I'd guess Friday ended in ~2500 cals and Saturday ~2000 cals. Sunday was on track again though. I even started a new instagram account for my own accountability All of the social media accountability I'll weigh in tomorrow morning. New week less go!

@l4a_p did you end up fasting yesterday? I've done a couple of 36h fasts recently. Sorry about no scale movement but as long as you're keeping consistent I'm sure the results will come! Sounds like your date was tons of fun!1

@RosyDanielle I would have easily but I visited a friend in the evening and she had made a little dessert and was sad I didn't want it.. So I "sacrificed" myself to be nice Will do a full 36h next saturday I think.

And I hope I'm just retaining water or something.

7/8 - 142.2. Ahem. I expected to gain a little during vacation but not that much. I really hope that some of this is bloat and I didn't actually gain 3 lbs of fat. As I mentioned when I joined, I will start working on weight loss again this week. So here we go.1 -

7/8... 147.4 - Vacation since the 4th, I didn't go absolutely crazy with food - but I definitely wasn't great either. There was some junk food, homemade fudge, lots of mexican food the last 4 days. I did get in lots of walking, so it wasn't a total loss. It's Monday and time to get serious.2 -

As a side note, due to increased water retention from hot weather sports (aka, drinking a fair bit of sodium/electrolytes on most weekends) my numbers are a bit "off" right now, but tracking my food in my other app and trusting the process! Down from when I moved, so headed the right direction!
