Hello again and also welcome to anyone looking at this and wondering if this is for you, just give it a try!
You can post your weight here and also in the Keto Monthly Challenge Spreadsheet which Nikki updates.
Feel very welcome to join, we usually post our weigh Sundays and use the 'Keto Monthly Challenge Spreadsheet' also in 'Announcements' to track weight.
We use this thread to encourage each other and to add our weight as well if we want to and generally chat!
It's fun and it's been working and we've lost a shed load of weight between us. It seems to keep us going and even if we go up occasionally (and who doesn't!) we get back to it and continue the journey.

Seven months into 2019 and I’m right where I started 2019. So, I’ve got some work to do in these last 5 months of the year. In 5 months, I will have known about keto for two full years. I’m healthier now than I was before I knew about keto. That’s the good news!
I know how healthy I can be when, I don’t just know about keto, I practice keto. For close to a year now, I’ve been on and off the keto wagon so much, my Scale Victories have disappeared and Non Scale Victories (NSV) are diminished. I want to be back where I was last August.
So, August is going to be my month to start my journey back. And this is where I’m going to post my weight loss as well as my NSVs. I hope, like in the past, you all will help me celebrate my weight losses and my NSVs for the last 5 months of 2019. See you all back here on the 4th of August with some real “Good News”

I third this sentiment! I've been on and off the wagon since last summer, never really straying too far but also never really digging back in to full commitment. Welp, here I am... feeling ready Time to mean business!
At one point last year I was down to 205 lbs... I'm hoping to get back there with relatively smooth sailing

Wow! Truly a community of ppl going through the same things. I've "researched" keto for over a year being a voyeur on other people's videos, posts and pages without fully implementing a plan for myself. Well, this is changing right now...or at least 2 weeks ago when I "started" and feeling amazing and ready to keep this going. Thx all!

well how wonderful the return of the old faithfuls!! Or maybe not too faithful which is the problem!! How lovely to see you back and that you haven't strayed too far either, though it's always depressing to think 'darn it, if only I'd stuck to it then I'd only be??' rather than going back over the same old ground though thankfully not all of it by any means!!
So lets celebrate coming back and support everyone trying to follow this and loose this darn weight and keep the health benefits that come with Keto and weight loss.
At least we can act as a goal and reminder to new folks that it does work but we are human so we can fall off the wagon. The important thing is to get back on there and there's nothing wrong with that. At least we haven't given up!!
If there are anymore 'oldies' out there lurking in the sides thinking that they've put on weight and therefore failed, you haven't; you're just human so let's just start again at something we know works!8 -
China and River Goddess, you’ve inspired me close out 2019 with an honest effort. With 23 weeks left this year I know, when I get back in the keto groove, I can lose 23 pounds. I know that seems a bit aggressive, but I feel obligated to salvage what is left of 2019.
Now I’ve done the easy part – Stating it publicly. Here comes the hard part – Actually doing keto instead of the keto lite version I’ve been doing for the last year. Thanks for the motivation, both of you!

Hello All! I'm new to this group.
I'm going to join the August Challenge, even though I will be on holidays for a week. I will be organizing the food for the week so I shouldn't have any hurdles (other than my own lack of willpower).

@amandajoyb don't wonder about number of the challenges, just celebrate you're down 30 and keep that off. Have the next 5 or 10 in mind, ignore the goal weight. It doesn't matter also measure, measure and measure! So many people think they haven't lost weight but they are loosing inches and going down clothes size. Even take the odd photograph (in my case very odd!!) and welcome!

Good morning all!
@stormywxs288 , your phrase "keto lite version" really resonated with me this morning. I seem to be struggling lately, but as I read your post, I had to admit to myself that I have only been half-hearted with my Keto efforts for several months now. (But I did manage to RE-lose 2.4 lbs during July!)
As a retired school teacher, August is typically when I set my "New Year Resolutions". So, my resolution is to be true to a way of eating that I KNOW can help me with this weight. My August goal will be 256 lbs. That will put me at 1 lb below my lowest Keto weight ever and prove to me that I really have managed to hit the reset button.

Hey everyone! I'm currently on my postpartum weight loss journey. I successfully lost 115 pounds in the past but postpartum, I've found that my body is NOT responding at all like it used to the dietary and exercise regimen I used in the past. So, I decided to take the leap and try Keto to really give my metabolism a kick in the butt.
I've been strict keto and I've been in ketosis (confirmed daily via urine test strips) since 7/12/19. So far the scale hasn't budged at all which is pretty disheartening, but my clothes are all getting much looser so I know fat is metabolizing at this point.
Looking forward to this accountability!
My current macro breakdown:
Carbs: 20 grams (5%)
Protein: 104 grams (25%)
Fats: 130 grams (75%)

On the list of "life happens that makes keto derail" this month: my mom is visiting from overseas and staying another 10 days, my daughter is turning 15 this week, and I have a gazillion work events/business dinners.
I have had too many carbs this week, and I don't want to wait too long until I go back on track.

Hello August keto friends! July was a great month for me and I rediscovered my dedication after letting my food habits slowly slide for several years. August brings back to school challenges with my three kids, so I’m trying to get good habits in place now! I’m also a runner and still trying to get my fueling and keto/intermittent fasting to work well together.

Eh. Long story short: yay for everyone and everything
I'm going to see my fave band play tomorrow night! I'm packing keto friendly snacks into the festival and not planning on drinking alcohol... (but if I do, it'll be keto-friendly choices and lots of dancing & walking to burn it off )

I'm sorry you lost your post due to a computer glitch. However, short or long post, I'm so glad to see you back here and I know I'm not the only one. BTW great start, 11.8 lbs in a short time. Looking forward to your next heartfelt post
