I am so glad I have a Fitbit. I fought getting one for years. Now it goes everywhere with me. And so far it has helped me lose 3 pounds. I set a goal of 1.5 pounds a week for myself with its help.

Tell us what strategies you are using to lose a few pounds this month. Or just maintaining.

I wonder how Kathy is doing. Did Ron flip out when she turned into a Mermaid and swam off into the deep end? I must know the answers. Next she will be diving off the side of the pool. Awesome Possum!

150.2 this morning. B) My new work vest is fitting better. :)

    Happy Friday everyone.

Last word last word last word. 😜

150.6.this morning. Helped Rocky take his stepping stones to the farmers market. Boy did it get hot today. I walked a lot when I could. Searched out share at times. We were there until almost noon. It was fun. I bought some cherries this time. Almost bought some more Yak meat. But they didn't have anymore Tenderloin. It was amazing when Rocky slow cooked it. After we came back home I baked a soy free cake for my son's birthday. It was a great visit. I did splurge a little. Barney did well. I brought him out on his leash and he was able to walk with me. He got some delicious chicken for a reward. After about 30 minutes I returned him to his crate. Very happy with his reactions.

Well time to read. Have a great Sunday.

143.8 this morning at 6:30. I have no idea what is going on. Stepped on and off the scale three times. A ton of salt yesterday, too. Cleaned out the pantry...fresh start this morning.

Chris we all know how that is. My scale did just the opposite to me on Thursday. I didn't believe it for a second. Now if I am up tomorrow I will be crying and looking for a shoulder to cry on. 😤
    Hoping tomorrow is better.

An elderly lady came into my yard today. Barney was out and the gate was open to the outer yard. I was moving fast. He moved faster. I was able to get between them. And called him to me. He Came! 😊 I t could have turned out so differently. I did not know her. I explained he was a rescue dog. Silly gal could only say that her daughter had 3 rescue dogs and they were all badly behaved! Barney behaves for us. And he came to me instead of biting her! She had hit my neighbors parked car. 😬

189.8 this morning. I’m not going to complain because I’m so happy. Our vacation to Amelia Island was wonderful. I finally was able to spring the surprise on Ron. Of course nothing goes as you plan and I didn't get a video.

So we had some rain on his birthday so he decides he wants to go to a movie then dinner As he’s bored sitting in the condo...cabin fever. He’s complaining the whole time he’s not getting enough beach time and I’m talking pool the entire time because I need to get in my surprise. The next morning it’s raining again and he’s pouting. So he decides on another movie and lunch. When we come out of the theater the sun is shining so he’s super excited. So we go back to the condo and head to the beach to play. After a couple of hours I ask if we can go to the pool. He finally agrees and says he will take everything back up to the condo so I stay down and we have the pool to ourselves. So I’m practicing my breathing and he says he sees me under water as he’s approaching eand is thinking when did she start doing that?

He gets in the pool on the opposite side and I tell him to stay I started swimming towards him...badly but that’s okay. I stand up and he has this shocked look on his face. I tell him about the swimming lessons. He wants all the details. I also tell him about Destin and how much that trip helped. I tell him I’m still taking lessons and need to perfect my strokes. He’s so excited and as he said “damn” proud of me. And even though he’s a good swimmer he said he could always use a refresher and may take a lesson or two with me and work on his technique. :)

The next day we spent most of our time at the pool instead of the beach and he helped me a lot. This will make our beach trips even better. To say the rest of our trip was amazing is an understatement. This has brought us even closer! Next trip at the end of September. My rescheduled 60th birthday trip which has been changed from Los Cabo to Puerto Vallarta. B) He says we can snorkel on one of our excursions...not sure but I’m willing to try. I love this man so much! <3

Sorry for the length of the post but I had to share with you ladies! Now time to work to get ready for the next trip. Headed to my recumbent. It’s raining in Georgia.

Great post, Kathy! I'm so happy for you and Ron.

150.2 this morning at 5:30. I did have a crazy out-of-hand week. I ate everything in sight. Yesterday was a good day. Will do the same today.

Oh my gosh Kathy that is so fantastic. I could visualize it happening. And I hear snorkeling is easy. You should get a snorkel and practice in the pool. Wow, cloud 9 is where you two were. I bet you all have so much more fun even now. I would get in a pool with you if my white thighs would not scare the water out of the pool! I am so glad it worked out. I thought at first you were going to say he thought you were drowning and jumped in to save you! I bet he was wondering why you kept wanting to go to the pool. B)o:)

Chris glad to hear that you were back on track yesterday. <3

151 this morning. No change since yesterday. But I am happy with it.

4am - you're loopy, Chris. 4am is when we wake up and groan because of too little sleep and too much stress to get the rest.

I'm in a crazy place. It's like a maelstrom of dreams and fun and stress and how the heck did everyone in my department disappear. :noway: (Manager Jun'18; Director Nov'18; Analyst Feb'19; Tech Mar'19; Reception Jun'19; Payroll Jun'19). Paula is left with whacky temps; while City scrambles to fill positions and appreciates Paula.

I'm dancing a lot; hooked on hiphop/listening to Eminem incessantly; tattooed and skinny; making friends & fitting in with barflies; mad at myself for not being interested in guys who like me; appreciating all the good stuff; suffering the stress; waiting to see what happens; trying to be patient and open - but utterly confused.

I haven't been tracking because I'm still keto enough so that the cravings aren't killing me. Lots of aerobics walking & dancing. Should do strength/weights but not getting around to it.

Paula!! Sounds like you are having a blast and laughing your fanny off at the mgmt at work. I only dance with Ronan. He's so much bendier than Grandma! I do have some stress, but it's coming off these stupid drugs. I'm getting there, tho. :p

143.6 this morning at 4:00 a.m. ...ugh! I love sleep...zzzzz...okay, but I am so happy to get even 2.68 miles in an hour 22 mins! I'll get back to my 5 miles pretty soon. Slow but sure...like a turtle!!

    Back later...gotta go.

Hey Paula! We love you and missed you.

150.6 this morning. I want to get under 150 this week. Slow and steady. I managed to get in 10,453 steps today. I was able to walk briskly for around 35 minutes between courts. You would laugh at me if you saw me sneaking in a few steps wherever possible. Around the jury table is my favorite. ;)

Chris I love sleep also. Zzzzzzzzz

Kathy I know you two had a great time.

    Stay safe everyone.

Nice going, Shelley. You can do it! I have 10,461 steps so far today. I'll only get close to 10,000 on walk days.

    144.0 this morning at 4:00 a.m. Get to sleep in tomorrow...till 6:15. Excited! It's a rest day.

Shelley - I’m obsessed with my Fitbit. I’ve been wearing it for years. I’ve actually had many of them. I think I wear them out :-) I find them just to be a really good reminder that I need to move. There are some days when I am in the office and just on conference calls and I look and I have 2000 steps in a whole day. Really reminds me to get moving. I like the feature where you can set it to vinrate if you don’t do an appropriate amount of steps within an hour :-) happy to be your Fitbit friend if you’d like. I am KJS1228. Sometimes I do challenges with my in-laws and hubby and daughter on Fitbit. Those weekendsChallenges are kind of fun :-)

186.2 this morning which is nice to see. Since I got back from a vacation I’ve been really trying hard with the intermittent fasting.I’m doing at least 16 hours of a fast every day, someday little bit more. I’m not yet ready to move to the larger fast. I find it pretty hard. The 16 hour isn’t so bad. I’ve made a commitment to really try the fasting full board for the month of August. My short term goal is to get to 170 which was my first weight loss goal and I am in a groove...lost 10 pounds this summer. Pretty excited that it’s only 16 pounds away :-) three bags of sugar :-)

I need to get to the gym before I start the workday. I hope everybody has an awesome Friday and a great weekend! So excited that my Bella will be coming home from summer camp on Wednesday. That flew by :-)

Karen I will add you. I like doing challenges. I am always moving. Just some do not add steps. Like when weeding. Very few steps are added in an hour of bent over hard work. But of well. It must be done. This is my first Fitbit. It is a charge 3. Congratulation on meeting your first goal. I am half way there. ;) I do set it to vibrate. Sadly if I am standing in court there is nothing I can do about it. Speaking of which. I have to go stand in court now. LOL

Chris I should have listened to you years ago and gotten one! :p

Last night I needed just a few more calories burned to complete an entire circle thing. Got on the treadmill and jogged for 20 minutes. Boy was I sweaty!

Yeah, but you got one now, Shelley. Kiss your sweet husband for getting it for you. Good for you Shelley@ I can't even walk on the treadmill...kills my knees. Give me the sidewalk or blacktop. :p

I'm trying to remember how to add a friend to Fitbit...brain fog is heavy. I'll add you Karen as soon as the fog clears...

    142.0 this morning at 6:00. Slept in...no walking...worked w/our trainer.

Karen, can you send me a Fitbit friend request, please? I cannot remember how to do it. I think Shelley sent me her request. Sorry...brain fog.

142.0 again this morning. 7,613 steps so far. It was a good walk. ;)

187.0 this morning...slowly but surely. You guys make me want to upgrade my Fitbit. I think I have the original from 10 years ago...no features at all. And I no longer use it. I’m going to have to research.

Ok....so the best way to add people to Fitbit that I have found is by email address. Mine is KJS1228@COMCAST.NET. Happy to add you ladies if you prefer to give me your email.

Shelley - that link didn't work for me.

Would be great to link on Fitbit as well as here!

Paula - missed you! Sounds like lots going on for you! Sending positives vibes your way!

My Bella comes back from camp on Wednesday....can't wait! 8 1/2 weeks has been a long time. I think I mentioned Bella is at a health and wellness camp. She has ADHD, which comes with anxiety and depression in her case. Also has been bullied at school about her weight (people can be so unkind.) She is fairly overweight for 13 years old. Amazed at how much she got out of this Camp! Significant physical transformation with clean eating, exercise and old fashioned fun, but self esteem boost from feeling better about herself by making friends, getting a role in the camp musical, no devices. We visited last week, and I've never seen her so happy.

Now back to reality....trying to do some food prepping and organizing for re-entry. Hoping this is the "jump start" she needs. You ladies know....so hard to watch your kids struggle. I tell you....seeing the joy she is showing now...brings me to tears ;)

Ok well tons to do to prep..
    But first the GYM!

    Happy Saturday!

Karen I'm sending good thoughts to your daughter. I truly hope everything continues to go great for her.

DH just cooked me breakfast...I do love him a whole lot! We're going to the book store in a bit. Gotta go get cleaned up.

https://www.fitbit.com/user/22T58R is my fitbit ID and I have no idea where I got it. Copied it from a post I did in another challenge.

Karen hopefully you got my invite this time. Sounds like your daughter is having the time of her life.

Chris I think that is the one I used to invite you.

Kathy you are welcome to join us. We can motivate each other to move more. Stay active.

Walked the dogs today. Poured a bench and several stepping stones today. Then did 28 gallon water change. Finished with 30 minutes on the treadmill.
