yes, yes, yes,Guess I am off to an ok start to October.
Went to "the Road" for exercise this morning.
It was a bit cool. Even though it is light I don't get out of the shade of the canyon walls until an hour into my climb.
Climbed for a couple of hours. Had the place to myself. Seen some turkeys though.
Mr Strava Wizard gave me credit for something like 1800 exercise calories.
I wasn't wearing my heart monitor strap though so I figure more like half of that as realistic.
I was in kind of a meander mood and did a good bit of walking.
Some of my miles were like upwards of 20 minutes.
Pretty sure the days of PR's and PB's are behind me.
I just don't much feel like punching it to the top these days.
Count it good enough that I can still get up it.
Keep thinking about changing my screen name again.
I want to be something like "old man of the mountain" or something.
Ack - too long.
Strava has got this page where you can get a scatter plot of the times for an exercise that you have done repetitively.
Here is a climb that I have done a lot of times over the past few years. It says 110 time but I think I have done it more than that. I don't know why there is not 110 dots on it.
Oh well.
I am kind of obsessive but I am trying not to be too bad.2 -

Lol the exercise discussion is very fitting for me today. I missed my normal strength class today. I try to get to the gym 6 days per week for classes even though my typical day is active.
Today I gardened for 4 hours, walked the dogs three times and walked a very brisk mile out to dinner. Yet I’m still bummed I didn’t get to my class.1 -

Had a good day. How I use my calorie intake is I feel at the age of 60 I no longer burn calories at the rate I did before menopause. I selected a sedentary lifestyle even though I have a VERY physical job. This way I feel comfortable eating some of my exercise calories, most days I don't but it gives me the the flexibility I need. Welcome to all our new members and hello again to the returning ones!
