I have a question: What do you do after you have a day that goes Waaaaay over calorie budget? Carry on per normal, eat nothing the next day, exercise more?

    Thank you,
    Kathy

I try not to do it again the next day. :)

This! I find that I don't do very low calorie or all-day fasting too well. I do sometimes skip breakfast which helps keep overall calories a little in check.

I'm continuing to feel a bit better every day after my surgery. I'm not allowed to lift anything or reach up high, so I went on a really awkward grocery trip with my mom in which she pushed the cart and I pointed (poorly) at the things that I wanted, most of which were too heavy or high to reach and often too high for me to effectively point at. I really should have worn my tiara!

Just put it on. And order people around. Way to go!

@jessicakrall8 I'm not sure what happened to my weigh in. I was sure I did it. Must have pushed the done button on my phone instead of Post!

Hi @Arc130 it sucks being limited by your body when you’ve gone to all the trouble of getting motivated and started! I hope you’ve got swimming or something else you love to do.

Yes! I really wanted to try running but it's not for me. For something different, I've gone to some water aerobics classes. Those are fun. Plus, I try to swim sometimes although I do it quite poorly. I usually have to use the multipurpose lane cause the lap swimmers ask me to leave (politely, but I understand cause I get in the way. I can't keep up even in the slow lane and need to rest at the end of a length or a lap.)

As an active lap swimmer I really appreciate your willingness to move out of the lap lanes o:), a lot of folks won't. Set a target distance and get it done each time--soon you will get stronger and be in the lap lane!

Glad to hear you are in recovery. Please remove tiara for weigh-in's, I know yours is quite heavy.

@mulecanter Thanks for the tip. I knew that those diamonds had a down side! This week I should be able to weigh with out my cute little apron that's holding my (not-so-cute) Frankenstein drains!

I'm glad you're getting better every day. I remember how immobile I was for about a week when I had a simple surgery (laparoscopic). I hope your recovery is swift!

Got a lot done today...started picking out music for my piano students for recital prep, which starts next week. Took myself out for lunch at a restaurant I hadn't been to for many years. It was nice...ate a little too much, but I'm skipping dinner to even out. Piano tuner came and tuned the piano today...bought a new faucet for my kitchen. Watched a movie on Hallmark Mystery channel...was a really nice first day of vacation. Hope you had a nice day...would love to hear from some of you...it's just so quiet lately, other than report ins...talk to you tomorrow! Jessica

Hi @jessicakrall8 I think it’s the time difference in Australia making it seem early.

Your vacation sounds nice and it’s even a bit productive! I tend to go one or the other... too many jobs completed and forget the relaxing part or too much relaxing and get behind in everything!

Hi @kmfeig87 it was pretty decent even with a few bits of less than ideal consumption.

I hope you’re feeling well, I think you must be mighty fit and healthy generally you don’t seem to be set back too much while you’re healing. My Mum has the worst time with anesthetic (spelling?) it makes her very unwell for weeks afterward. Mostly it’s a depressive anxiety issue she has (super out of character) ... so I hope as well as the physical you’re feeling mentally tip top 😃
