Hi all, I'm back. I see we have a few newbies this month--welcome! As Jessica mentioned, I'm the other co-captain. Jessica does the work and I collect the prize money each month. I was away all weekend at my company's annual party weekend--they fly everyone not in California in to LA for the weekend for a "meeting" and lots of free dinners and open bars. I got my money's worth and gained 4 pounds which I'm hoping will go away this week with clean living and some exercise. I think I may have inhaled a virus on the plane, I have that ominous throat tickle. As my wife always tells me, I'll try to "will it away".

My wife accidentally knocked my scale off the shelf and broke it. I will have to carry weight over from last week.
A pink scale? I am not mourning your loss.3 -

@Loriab901 Welcome to the group! Lots of awesome peeps here!
Thanks for the welcome!
I was part of this group before, reached my goal a few months ago. My total weight loss was 55 lbs. Since then I have gained 13 lbs, most of it recent, so I’m hoping it will come off quickly rather than slowly. I track my steps too so I wouldn’t mind doing that through here as well. Lori3 -

@KathynDes AND @disturbed4ever13 WELCOME!!! Take a few minutes and tell us a little bit about yourself!! I'm Jessica, one of the two captains here...I'll let @mulecanter tell you about his time in prison...shhhh! I'm the chatty one in the group, so be prepared for my constant musings. Also, I track the stats for the step group, so if you're a walking addict as I am, and would like to join us, please let me know and I'll put you on the October chart. You can find the step chart at the bottom of the same sheet where we track the weigh-ins.
Again, welcome and don't be a stranger!!

Hi everyone, thanks for the warm welcome. My name is Christina. I've struggled with weight for as long as I can remember. I have been using MFP for the last couple weeks and it really seems to be helping. For the first time I feel like I believe in my ability to make changes. My brother is getting married next year which is a big motivator. Again, thanks for the welcome and including me. Looking forward to this. One question.. for the steps do I just add them to my weekly weigh in numbers? Like weekly total?
Take care, wishing you all success in reaching your goals!

Hey Christina...good to hear from you! For steps, just record them from your Apple watch, Fitbit or even your cell phone..whatever you use for your step tracker...I'm on Fitbit, so that's what I use...

Hi, Thanks for letting me join in. I am a bit of a troglodyte so forgive me if I make anyone’s day harder by not doing things as I should.
I am a 37 year old Aussie. I work from home (husband and I have a business). We have two kids 6 and 8.
I have been working on my fitness this year, mostly because I have pox mental health, pregnancy and babies destroyed me! I now am feeling able and interested in stepping it up a bit and try and lose some weight to make things easier on my back, hips and knees.
Previously I just ate tiny bits of random food allllllll day. Trying to eat actual meals and think about what I’m eating (so far dismal failure) I have never seriously attempted to lose weight before and it’s just been slowly creeping up and up for the last 20 years and I figure it’s a great time to creep it back down.
Hope everyone had/has a really great start to the Month.
Thanks again,
Kathy5
