187.6 this morning. Slow and steady progress. I’ll take it.

Shelley - I’ve been in my home for 16 years. I actually closed on Halloween. Coincidentally, Ron and I met on Halloween when we both started working at IRS...but I digress. I set aside some money before retirement for upgrades,, wood floors in the living room, dining room and kitchen. Painting the kitchen and kitchen cabinets as well. New stainless steel kitchen appliances. If there’s enough in the budget I’ll add wood floors in my master bedroom. As well as changing things with new accessories. I have already purchased new bedroom comforter set and curtains. Will redecorate the living room as well with a few new touches. Luckily my original furniture is still in very good shape. Outside I bought a new mailbox and front door light fixture and motion light over garage. Those little things make a big difference. I’m determined to stay within budget. The major cost will be the floors.

I hope to have everything finished before the end of the year. All the changes will make retirement even more comfortable as I travel less eventually and stay home more with a good book and glass of wine.

I have not read it. I can believe it though. So many people out the weight back on and then some! Thanks, they were fun to make!

    Cute cupcakes, Shelley!

Have fun with your remodels, Kathy.

I haven't read it either, Karen.

Day off walking. Worked out w/our trainer for an hour this afternoon. Reading Matt Rogers' Savages. I've read all his books except some shorts. I like his characters.

Made some pasta fagiolie soup for dinner and a quiche with potato crusts. Bella liked it. She's struggling now that she is back to reality and not camp. Who isn't right? We all are? Not sure I mentioned...but my bella has ADHD and depression....not easy. This has been a particularly rough week for her. She and I ate meant to take a walk after my last work phone call at 6:30pm...hoping she sticks to it!

Karen, I hope Bella sticks with it, too. Yes, rough week for me. Just want to snack.

It was NOT a day off walking for us!!! We did 3.01 miles in an hour. Don't know what I was thinking!!

I had a hard time with the snacking this week also. Just be the time of year. My son also has depression and ADD with oppositional definance disorder. Not sure if I spelled it right. He has not lived with us in years so I seldom see if hear from him. It was tough growing up.

Karen hugs to you and Bella. I really find the best thing I can do is not have it in the house. And since hubby while it does not tempt me.

Chris thanks! They did turn out cute. That was a fast walk!

    Night all!

Chris and Shelley - I think we are all struggling with snacking this week! I wonder if it's the Colder Weather :-)

178.6 this week....woo hoo! I have a goal in my head of getting to 170 by the end of the year. I think it's possible if I stay focused if my body decides to cooperate :-)

    Have a great Thursday!

Too much salt the past couple of days. Don't even want to post that number this morning. :s

Hey You Guys. I love all of you. Now let's stop snacking so much.

Chris get rid of the salty temptations that last only a moment upon your tongue. It hurts you. :p

Karen think of Bella. When you snack she snacks. I am guessing on this one. <3

Kathy I am sure that snacking is harder since retiring. But I know you have to have some cute little number you want to wear on your next vacation. B)

I want to see 135 before Christmas.

Chris and Karen we can do this! <3

I took first place with my Lizzie Borden costume! And won $50. I had no idea there was going to be a contest with a prize. This place we went to was phenomenal! The host went all out. Rocky was a zombie. And she had aquariums. Lol I was in fishy heaven.

Shelley you know me so well! There is a dress I’m hoping to get into in Jamaica. It’s going to be close...I have 10 days....keeping the snacks out of the house and hitting the park tomorrow. I want to be in the 170s by the end of the year. You ladies are so motivating. Your costume is amazing...love it!

    Thanks for the remainders!

Thanks everyone. I had wanted to put my hair under the hat. But the hat was to small for my hair.

Kathy you are on the right track. Keeping the snacks out of the house is the best way to end evening snacking. <3 And you know I want a picture of that dress! Now what color will it be? You can wear almost any color you like. Burgundy this time? Or will it be a flowery white number?

I got up late and did not weigh in. And Kathy? I have some snacks I need to get out of the house now. Thanks for reminding me.

Donated blood this morning at work and was a little woosy so decided working out was best left for another day. But saved 3 lives...so worth it!

Karen that is awesome. I can't donate blood. But you did enough for us both. B)
