    Hello all

Seem to have found myself weighing in Monday morning which is never a great idea but hey ho

So after a week of being broadly good, some sweets that needed to be eaten after Halloween and some rugby to watch, which involved nibbles, the weight went down (3lbs) then up then down a bit...

I have vowed not to get obsessed with Madame Scales every day (see how long that lasts...)

    So

    1lb off this week
    now 209lbs
    only 27lbs to go

Have a good week everyone and nice to be back here. I have looked at pools and a gym so next stop is to join and actually do something !

    W

There are about 8.6 weeks left in this year...I get motivated by targets and goals etc. How about you? GW on January 1, 2020?

    -1.0lbs

PMS bloat slowly coming off, was up to 252.2 on the scale on Monday, so having some unusually high/low fluctuations at the moment. Not surprised there appears to be about a 1lb up on trend weight since the bank holiday weekend as there was a lot of indulgent food and drink but seems to be back into the swing.

I imagine on 1st January I will be up about 10lbs of water weight from all the Christmas carbs. I find targets and goals useful but not for the scale, deadlines just discourage me. In the last 2 weeks despite being under maintenance my weight on the scale has fluctuated from 245.0lbs to 252.0lbs (for many reasons such as tough hikes, stomach bug, higher carbs, alcohol, etc) so I find it better to focus on non-scale goals. As long as I stick to the process I know the scale will catch up eventually.

I'm still contemplating whether to go for this or not. I basically maintained in October because I kept overeating and it would be really good to knuckle down and lose the final weight. On the other hand I'm nervous of over-restricting myself and ramping up the binging (which has def gotten worse again in the last month).

Think I'm going to see if I can eat at a 500cal deficit for the next few days and go from there.

Wouldn't it be lovely though to achieve goal by the 12 month mark!

    Total weight loss: -39.6 lbs!

I'm back from my 3 day conference of sitting during 4 hours of driving, sitting through 8 hours/day of presentations, eating buffets for each meal, and sitting, driving home for 4 hours. I'm aware that it could've been much more damage, too. I'm setting a goal of losing this 2lbs (or more) by next week.
