Coyotes - I live in a city. There is coyotes in the city. They don't seem to be too sensitive to habitat. Coyote jumped over my gate into my backyard and ate the neighbors cat that happened to be in there.

I have a 4-foot fence around my yard. For five years, I've taken care of two feral cats (spayed, shots, feed and shelter them). I used to leave the gate ajar, but close it now because people have seen coyotes half a mile away -- which is nothing. The cats enter through a hole I made in the fence. Apparently the coyotes don't know about my restaurant. Hope they never jump the fence, ugh. Then I'll find out how good of a runner MFP has made me into.

Our area has a good amount of coyotes and bobcats, plus the occasional panther. Recently saw a fox right in our neighborhood. That bugger was big, much bigger than the red foxes I saw growing up! I'm a big fan of the predators since they keep the rodent populations down.

(Probably a weird comment from a RABBIT! 😁)
