143 this morning. Chris I understand so much better now that I can't walk as much as I would like. Get better.

I AM going to get to 135 and stay there. I have a workout plan all ready. Just have to get the go ahead from the PT. GAl.

Let's get to our goals ladies.

190.6 this morning. I didn’t reach my goal of. getting out of the 180s. I’m so happy the holidays are over with all the temptations, parties and food, food, and more food.

I’m ready to set new goals and reach them this year. I want to lose 42lbs this year to get to my ultimate goal 148 which would be 100 lbs from my highest weight. I’m with you Shelley - Lets get to our goals!

BTW I’m going to Australia for 9 days with a group of 16 ladies who play in the same tennis league. We are going to the Australian Open for 2 days and touring the remaining time. We leave on January 17th. It should be quite an adventure. My first trip of the new year. I hope everyone had a great holiday!

    Happy New Year ladies.

Sounds like a lot of fun Kathy!

I'm with you guys. I need to see 135 this year or go crazy. I'm at 143 today, too.

I did walk around our block three different times yesterday. Takes me about six minutes. I might just try that again today. I did work out w/our trainer this morning, so I'll see how my hip is feeling in a bit.

    Good luck to everyone!

Shelley, maybe shut your phone completely off then restart it. Sara was having some issues w/her phone and that fixed it. Might be worth a try.

    Kathy - Australia sounds wonderful!

I am with you ladies about hitting goals this year. I didn't quite get where I wanted this year I wanted to get to 170. A few pounds up from that but that's okay. I'm happy with my progress this year. I think I finally found what works I just need to stick to it.

My goal is to get to and stay at 160. I'll see where I go from there. Unfortunately have a lot of skin from the large weight loss so will need to be dealt with at some point. I think at 160 I'll be really comfortable and all the awesome clothes that I have :-) I am 175 right now. Totally doable. I may even go a little bit lower but this is at least is there a reasonable wait for me. Let's do this thing!

Chris I am using a Kindle Fire. It has been shutting off all by itself! Argh!

Karen and Kathy I love the positive thoughts you guys are sending. Kathy I need photos. I think there are some fires in Australia right now. :'(

Chris I remember when you used a journal regularly. We did good back then. Yes yes yes!??

So sorry you aren't feeling well, Karen. Take medicine and drink tea.

Went over to see Ronan this evening. He is doing better. Still has a nasty cough and has to have breathing treatments when he can't control his coughing. Hoping he'll be much better Monday so he can come over. Sara has a Staff Development Day and can come get him if he gets worse.

142.8 this morning at 8:45. Last night wasn't my best. Made soup today so that will help over the weekend and next week. I did buy a new journal. Must start writing in it. :#

Chris glad he is starting to feel better. A new journal is exciting. Now begin to feel it up.

Karen I hope it is a short term setback. I hate being sick.

Went to the physical therapist. I think I could have gone to a chiropractor and got more out of it. Did another yoga today. Yesterday was weights. Also had our car clubs luncheon this morning. Then walked Barney in Petsmart. He was very nervous. There were a lot of other dogs there. He pooped on the floor he was so nervous. Poor guy has never pooped indoors before. But Rocky cleaned it up. Tomorrow we will go to Petco. He will do better there I am betting.

Chris - I'm a journaler....since I was little. Hope you enjoy filling up those blank pages!

Shelley - Hope Barney fares better tomorrow ;)

I did get to church today which was good. Plan on taking it easy to try to get rid of this cold sinus infection that I have. Eager to watch the Philadelphia Eagles play tonight....we are big fans;)

Karen my hubby is watching it!

Barney did a little better. But he still pooped! :o I think he thought we were going to Pet smart again. He really worked himself up on the way to Petco. We took silly Libby with us. She is so cute. Little Diva. I saw a fish I would like to add to my tank. It is a bright yellow tang. I just think hard on it. I don't want aggression in the tank.

Karen I hope you start feeling better. Sara's family is finally feeling better. Ronan still has a cough, but it's much better.

Kathy you are smart to listen to your body. Shelley, tat goes for you too.

We met the kids at the book store this afternoon. Ronan was playing on the train track they have there. He's pretty cute. Got some new books...like I need new books...must go read now!

192.6 this morning. Chris I feel your pain since May I’ve gained 20 pounds. Instead of the Freshmen 15 I call it the Retirement 20. I feel it and I see it...nota good look. I’ve got to rejoin a gym and get out of the house and workout. I’m pulling out my journal as well.

    I more excuses!

Kathy retirement is my biggest fear. I will have to join a gym when that day comes. You can reverse the engines and start lowering those numbers again. You have to be part of my inspiration for retirement. You can do this!

Chris so Glad to hear they are all doing better. I can't believe you don't need another book to add to your personal library. :p I bet Ronan is so happy to be out playing again.

I spent the day listening to people bashing each other to see who gets custody of their little boy. No one mentioned anything about the child. Just bashed each other! How pathetic!

192.2 this morning. Any loss is welcome! Headed out for a morning walk.

I will try to be your inspiration Shelley. I have to stay focused on exercise. I’m joining the Wellness Center at a local hospital as soon as I return from Australia. It meets all my needs including a pool. A weight room with great machines and classes. I need to get out to do this so I decided no to a treadmill.

A focus on exercise is how I lost the first 50. We can do this ladies!

You are right Kathy. We can do this. We know how.

Shelley, Ronan is a joy. His words are better and he's funny!! Wait a minute...what is this 'I will have to join a gym...' stuff?? You have an entire gym in your basement. And don't be afraid of retirement...just have grandbabies, puppies and reduce your calories...oh, and buy books...and know you will forget things!

144.0 at 5:30 this morning. Man! Altho not a great number better than yesterday morning. I changed my daily calories to 1200. I'm not walking at all so...

We were returning a box of something to Amazon and mailing a letter with a baby shower congrats & gift card in it. Both sat on the table for about five days waiting for somebody...me...to plan a trip to the grocery store where there is a UPS office and a mailbox. Well, today was the day! I jumped in the car...raced to Raley's...completely forgetting the box and envelope....shopped...returned home to pick up the box and envelope and head back down the road. Good grief! I have such a one-track mind sometimes. it was funny tho.

Kathy I love your plan. You are doing it! Yes yes yes! That place sounds great. Our YMCA might be the place for me.

Chris I have a secret. I love workout classes! So I will be attending a gym that has classes. And it will get me out of the house. I sure wish you could get in some calorie burning But since it is hard now reducing your calories is a good plan. Just keep up with Ronan. <3

Well it is late here so going to bed.

190.8 this morning. Going to get my exercise in today then start pulling more clothes and toiletries for Australia.

Chris - sorry you aren’t able walk. Be patient and take care.

Shelley - I looked into the way but the one in my area does not have an indoor pool. I also like workout classes. Have you ever tried a cycling class. I think I’m going to give it a try. I have a friend who loves them. My favorite right now is water aerobics. I’m going to use one of the trainers to give me a tutorial on the weight machines...I need to tone as well as lose...my thighs can’t get any flabbier. :D

Karen - hope you’re feeling better.

Thanks, Kathy. You must be talking to my trainer. She says the same thing...all the time!! :D I am being patient but, also, a little crazy too!

Shelley, I didn't care for the workout classes we took. After a couple of classes, we got our personal trainer. Glad you like them.

    143.2 this morning at 5:30.

Karen, do you know what ailment you have?? Ronan still has a cough. It's getting better tho.

143.4 this morning at 5:30 a.m. Man! I'm so looking forward to sleeping in on Saturday. Foggy and rainy here today. I went through our closet and all my drawers, collected all my remaining work clothes, and took it all to Good Will. I should have done that in December but didn't. Oh, well.

Chris now you are retired all over again! Congrats! It will be easier for me I am thinking. I have no use for a uniform once I retire! You are still working by caring for your Ronan. No sleeping in. But I bet he keeps you young. <3

Karen glad you are feeling a little better. Being sick really sucks! Continue to get better.

I was 143 again this morning. But the last of the junk is out of the house. So it will get easier. I was wanting to get another television for my gym. I wanted the same size as I already have. Nope! They don't have 36 inch ones anymore. I want to put it below the one I now use working out. The idea was to have two the same size for when I do floor work. Like yoga. Or transition from standing to pushups or bench work. I will have to get a 40 inch now.

Shelley, get two 40 inch TVs. Move the 36 inch to where the pups sleep so they can watch the Puppy of the Year competitions! Oh, and you should keep your uniform for Halloween! Answer the door and give out candy in it!!! I was a prisoner one year. It was my best costume. Nobody recognized me at work! Ronan didn't recognize me in the picture I showed him last night. It was pretty funny!!

142.6 this morning at 5:30. Hope it keeps going down. We get R&B in a few mins. I'll post a picture of his Control Tower. We are transporting this between houses because he cannot leave it. Got the second one coming tomorrow then all we have to transport are the pups and the backpacks work for that.

    Super Mighty Pups and Cars.

So I have some sort of a sinus infection with a cough that just won't quit. Making it really hard to sleep. NyQuil is my friend :-) I'm hoping to get some good sleep tonight and then get my butt in a gym tomorrow just to even do some light walking. I really not done much for most of the week. Trying to rest and heal. Hope you are all doing well !

Karen if it is an infection I hope they have you on some good antibiotics. Get well my friend. <3

Chris what a wonderful idea. I already ordered one. Just order a second with a puppy remote control. Must be able to use their noses! I don't remember you in a Halloween costume. Where did you get the inspiration from to be an inmate? Your alter ego reading her head again. Should I start looking for a bonding company? I never want to put on that uniform once I retire again. Like wearing a corset!

Ronan is so lucky. Can I come play? He has so many, I am sure he would share with me. :)

I am sore today. So I did some treadmill walking to Les Mills. Got in over 10,000 steps. Getting better. Tomorrow is my cleaning day. Work on the aquariums some. I will try to get in a workout. Really looking forward to the television set up. Yoga is going to be so much easier to do! Can't believe how excited I am! And when I am trying to follow along with core or bench work, it will make such a difference. No more excuses about not keeping up because I can't see.

189.4 this morning. Out of the 190s...yeah too close to 200...that always scares me. :# now to start on the next 10 pounds.

Karen - glad you’re feeling better and can try a light workout.p today. But take it easy and don’t overdo.

Chris - you and Ronan have such a great time together.

Shelley - laundry for me today as it’s rainy here in Georgia. I’m starting to get packed for Australia.

It looks like the fires are staying away from the Melbourne area. Purchased sir mask just in case. The damage to the country is just awful as well as the deaths to people and the animals. They are encouraging tourist to still come because they need the money for their economy. Our travel agent is monitoring the situation. We do have travel insurance in case the trip is canceled.

    Great weekend ladies!

138.2 this morning at 9:30! WOW! Who knew? I know it will be higher at 5:30 tomorrow morning, but I'm going to enjoy that number all day long today!!

Got my hair cut, went shopping, made soup, watched the boys while the grown-up kids went to dinner last night. Got 3624 steps in. Felt like more...ha! Today is a lazy day. News paper, book, nothing... :D
