At the airport now on my way to Brazil after a very hectic day. Did get to the gym and worked out hard. Hot water heater replaced...woo hoo! Flight is at 10pm...which they serve “dinner” on. Who eats dinner at 11pm? I’ll skip that. Getting some dinner now and hope to just rest...not normally my MO...but will try!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Karen glad you got in your workout. Have a good trip to Brazil. How many times have you gone before?

I worked 12 hours of overtime at the hospital. Good money but no time for anything else. And a lot of just standing around. Glad it's over.

    Night all!

Shelley - this is my first trip to Brazil. I have a team of 10 here, so eager to meet them in person. I don’t speak Portuguese so will be interesting!

I managed to not eat the dinner meal
Or drink on the flight. They served it at 11:30pm! I had a light dinner earlier and wa tempted, but I think it would have made me feel worse. Really trying to stick to my intermittent fasting schedule

You are doing great, Karen! Wish I could say the same. Gotta get my s*** together here.

Shelley, such a long day! I've never done 12 hours overtime except when the kids were little!!! :D

No plans today except to finish my book. I do like the hero in these stories. He is a good bad guy. Now the really bad guys are trying to get rid of him. Half way thru the book...he just found out. Egads!

Sara took Ronan to Target yesterday. He found a wicker yard chair that he loved! He and I walked around the block yesterday and he told me all about it and the cool rug it sat on. So funny...then I looked it up. The dumb chair is $500! I was thinking $99 and maybe I'd get it for him...but $500?? Sorry sweet kid. :#

Karen I hope they speak some English. Good luck staying on schedule. Have fun.

Chris that chair would fit him for years to come. And would double as a bed for now. :p That little darling is turning into quite the charmer!

I walked the dogs today. Then worked on getting a new shower head for my moms shower. And put up a window film on the window in her room. Easier and more fun than curtains or blinds. Let's the light in. Privacy and decorative. And she won't have to mess with opening of closing them.

I’m back...jet lag is real. I had a great time with a great group of ladies. Melbourne was a really metropolitan city. Our hotel was only 10 minutes from the tennis complex. We rode the Tram for free or took Uber most days some of us spent extra days at tennis while others after the first 2 days used our time to explore. We also did the Fan Walk where we actually went on court and took pictures. Our excursions included a city tour, an aboriginal heritage tour, a wine that included a train ride, the parade of pensions, which was amazing as wells as seeing kangaroos, koalas, wallabies and other animals native to Australia. Our last night was at the tennis center. We actually was able to get tickets to see the American sensation Coco Gauff. We saw all our favorites Roger Federer, Rafa Nadal, Serena Williams, Simona

The good news is we were in an area not effected by the fires and had no issues what so ever. We had so much fun we’re thinking about the US Open this Aug/Sep.

    Good to be home.

I love history. I so would have had a great time. And animals are great. Funny I only know who Serena Williams is, and Simona. ;) Trains are also a favorite of mine. So glad you are back and had a great time.

Well I got on the scale, back up to 144. So getting better again. Got in my steps already.

Glad you had a good time Kathy. What fun that must have been.

Shelley, I was 144.0 yesterday...ugh! 142.2 this morning. I threw out almost everything. Pat saw me as I was going to either toss an entire box of grahams or give them to the kids. He said he would eat them. They are low fat...he usually eats the original grams. Just can't think about them or anything else that causes me to fall off the wagon and face-plant. I did really well yesterday. Drank all my water and more...which caused me to live in the bathroom!!! Egads!

I do get to put pb in my yogurt for breakfast, and I made mashed potatoes to mix in with my chicken bean soup for dinner. My two treats during the day, and they are both accounted for. I have 42 days until my surgery...I'll see what I can do between now and then. Got my fingers crossed.

Kathy love the casual look. Very nice. So glad this trip is inspiring you and your friends to do more together. Was that the parade of penguins? I love animals. We lived in Florida for a year when I was a child. Lots of them there.

Chris I did not weigh myself today. I run out of time when I work out early. But I like the habit I am making. Rocky tried to help by putting M&M in small baggies. He doesn't get it. Just makes me want more!

Walked lots today. Had a migraine this evening. :# Going to order an edible custom photo for my son in law's birthday. He loves baseball. So we are going to have a photo of him in uniform made to put on a sheet cake. He will be 40 on Feb. 29th

Kathy - Glad you had a great trip in Australia. Good luck with the jet lag. It kills me. They say it takes one day for every hour of timezone difference to recover. I find that to be true.

Brazil is good. I am surprised with the language barrier. They speak Portuguese here. I speak some Spanish and can get by a little...but not easy. The funny part if when I order room service. This hotel does a buffet dinner each night, and I don't want to do a buffet...but when I order roomservice, my meal is always different than what I think O ordered LOL. It all works out. Doing OK with my eating. When a leader comes into town, people just want to feed you. So lunches and only one dinner so far. I prefer to not impose on people and let them get home to their families, and then I can rest. Been early days and some long nights, but very good over.

I have not worked out once sadly. By the time I get toteh hotel, it is 7pm and then I am starving and can't WO after eating. Good intentions to get up early before my 7am ride comes, but I haven't been sleeping great...so haven't done that. Probably because I am eating so late!

I leave for home tomorrow....9:30pm flight, will get me into New Jersey at 5am Saturday (ouch!) Will be good to be home. But great trip overall!

Karen glad you are having a good time. Hope your trip home is okay.

Shelley, I laughed at Rocky's attempt to not tempt you by packing small bags of M&M's! Like Pat telling me he'll eat my grahams and just put the box back in the pantry. Egads! Doesn't my sweet husband hear the whispering from the pantry? And the shouts from the fridge from the pb???? Men!

141.8 this morning at 5:30. Need some more downward movement. Maybe tomorrow.

Oh Chris now I was laughing! Men don't get us sometimes. I will blame my weight on him. Trigger food is like the game Jumanji, we can hear it.

Karen I was never bothered by net lag when young. Even on long flights. I even was able to switch shifts easily. But there is no way I could do that. Age gets us all. Sounds like you are doing well. Just get in some walking, even in the hotel hallway. Doesn't have to be anything formal.

In trial most of the day. No steps, tomorrow will be the same. So early rising to workout!

141.4 this morning at 5:30. Every little bit down counts. Subtracting the pounds is much harder that adding them.

We'll get R&B in a few mins, I have our trainer at noon and that is my day...oh, wait, I think I'll read!!

FRIDAY!!! I get to sleep past 5:30 tomorrow!!!!

Nice day Chris! Hope that reading is fun.

Got in an upper body workout this morning. And then I get to spend a lot of my time sitting in court. :s
