absolutely. Her last weigh in was the same as this one, though - even though she indicated a different previous weight. It is now in the regular team list.

    Happy Monday!

I will send out the spreadsheet invites for February shortly - sorry for the delay. The new challengers so far are in, and I'll add more as the registrations arrive.

February this year is 29 days - any cool ideas for Leap Month?

The profile idea will be done by tomorrow. Promise.

What about other challenges for February? I think we might need some action now that the excitement of January is fading.

And have you all seen how green you're doing for the month? It's dazzling!

Certainly! But she has been gone long enough that I don't have a weigh-in day for her. I'll just put her at the bottom of your list right now, and then can re-sort once the day has dawned. Thanks!

Probably a silly question but do I fill in the starting weights for February on the new spreadsheet as everyone weighs in?

I was thinking about this earlier. We did great with the Stay Green month. It's fun to have competition that we can push in our groups. What about focusing on the Habit Tracker in February? It would be great to see even more people using it and by doing weekly postings to the teams where we can announce which team is using it the most could be a great way to promote the Habit Tracker. My group loves it! <3

Just throwing this out there, it’s not a developed idea, but what about some challenge relating to heart health? It healthy heart awareness month or something like that. It could involve exercise or healthy eating.

I'm happy to do that - you have a lot on your plate already with no co-captain!

@jugar Please change sarawilliams (last entrant on TrimStones weight chart) from NWI to LWI. She was out of town and forgot to report in until today. Thanks! JK

OK Captains Moderators and anyone else who would like to weigh in on this idea!

Instead of the profiles for February, here is a list of 29 questions that could be a day-by-day discussion springboard. The order can be changed, any of the questions can be changed, or the whole idea can be replaced! But I think it could be fun to have people answer these questions and see what kind of discussions result.

29 questions for February 2020 Leap Year
    1. There is no #1. We start Feb on the 2nd!
    2. GROUND HOG DAY: What do you do over and over and over that really helps? *winter ends! What do you do over and over and over that really gets in your way? *6 more weeks of winter!
    3. What changed or what did you discover to get your weight loss going?
    4. What is the idea or source (book, blog, whatever!) that has had the greatest influence?
    5. What keeps you going? What inspires you to keep at it?
    6. Once at your goal weight, how do you maintain (or plan to maintain)?
    7. What gifts do you give yourself?
    8. What gift would you like to give to others working on weight and fitness?
    9. What is your biggest stumbling block?
    10. What is your go to comfort food?
    11. Describe the imaginary character you need in your life to keep you on track. (use shower bouncer story) Where would they be? What would they do?
    12. What would help unlock your resistance?
    13. What word or phrase can you (or do you) use to remind you of your commitment? Be sure to give it to everyone on your team or who can help you at home!
    14. VALENTINE’S DAY! Tell about a time you have felt beautiful, handsome, good in your skin, happy in your body? Love and body – do you need to love your body for someone else to? OR HEART HEALTH QUESTION AND RESOURCES
    15. What 3 habits make the biggest difference for you?
    16. How have your habits changed or evolved over time?
    17. How have you managed the ups and downs of making lifestyle changes? What do you think of plateaus?
    18. What are your “trigger foods” or things you cannot easily stop once you start eating or drinking? How do you stop?
    19. What helps you manage stress?
    20. What will be the consequences to your life and health if you don't lose weight?
    21. What do you believe is a healthy rate of weight loss and is this realistic?
    22. Oh dear. The meal planning/prep question. Do you? Can you help those of us who find it hard to imagine?
    23. Discovering the most effective eating and exercise regime is often a question of experimentation until you find the one that works best for you. What have you tried? What have you discovered that did NOT work for you? Quote of the day - “I have not failed 500 times. I have successfully discovered 500 ways that do not work.”
    24. HIIT (high intensity interval training). Cardio. Functional training. Mindful yoga. Tabata. Circuit. Strength training. NEAT (non-exercise activity thermogenesis), sports, hiking, dog walking. Exercise in all its forms – what works for you? What have you never tried? What questions do you have? What do you love? What do you hate?
    25. Time for some good sleep. Who has troubles with this? Who has tips to help get enough sleep?
    26. Water water everywhere. Do you get enough? How do you feel when you do? How do you know when you do? Are the recommendations reasonable?

    Hi Gang!

If you transfer a weight from January to February spreadsheet, please put an * in the MOD only column after the week 4 weight so I know you have transferred it. You get to be honorary MOD for that moment...

@jugar Please remove saramakingchanges from TrimStones and place her in the cheering section. I'll follow up with her every few weeks to see when she'll be back. She's had a rough couple of weeks I think...sometimes people just need a break.

Once you have a starting weight for her, go ahead and put it in. I left her as a Sunday weigh-in so just let me know if that should change. Thanks!

    HI Captains!

I have been marking anyone's second NWI in red - I will remove them from the teams late tomorrow if there is no news - any pestering, nagging, or other prodding you'd like to do will be welcome! Thanks.

NO please! They only get closed after I finish the tallies on Sunday morning - as long as it is still the January challenge (which includes Saturday until midnight), it must stay open. I know it is a pain having both open for a couple of days, but weigh-ins should still be posted in January until it is all done.

Thanks for asking! It is one of those weird things at the end of each month.

@jugar I entered the weights to the February thread but of course I can't go on the spread sheets without causing trouble. For some reason I deleted @phoebe's overall weight lost in January. I don't want to make it worse so I just left :s Sorry....

@jugar Lol! That is me!! We have been lucky with the weigh ins lately. It hasn't always been like that. Thanks for fixing...I try not to stray from the little box I am using but sometimes I hit things when I scroll...I think...I am not really sure what happens :s
