Adding 3 more miles XC skiing. That wiped me out!!!! I haven't done it two years and my muscles were reminding me it's a perishable skill.

Another vote here for never tiring of seeing your pictures, Dean! I love seeing the mountains, snow, dogs and everything else.

@sufferlandrian - never too many dog pictures!
My husband is out of town so I'm on dog walking duty now. At 12 years she doesn't walk very far or very fast so not many miles!0 -
Wow....where I have been for 10 days. Oh, I know, cleaning. Such news since I posted last. All I can say is please keep me in prayer for all that I have ahead of me with my dad’s home.
@Janet on Disney. God love you on doing this. I am lucky to get through a half let alone all the challenges.
@ LovemyAlex. What a great accomplishment for your daughter!
@iessie: I am sorry for the loss of your grand dog. I know how much that hurts.
@Lamlam:Ohhh, work stress is the worst. So glad the situation as been resolved. It is truly one of the blessings I no longer have to experience now that I have retired. I certainly do not miss those situations and they are not good on ones health.
@Dean: I never get tired of your pictures and seeing your pups. Hip surgery? What did I miss?
Well, I now seriously think I am no longer able to run. I can feel bone on bone in my left knee. So it is biking and walking and swimming. I will miss it greatly but i& I want to go without knee replacement...it’s alternative exercise.
Jan. 9-18: I am adding 61 miles of which I walked 50 miles and jogged 11

@LAMLAMSMAKEOVER - My synmpathies on the colonoscopy. Been there...while in my case, it wasn't as bad as people had made it out to be, it still wasn't an overly pleasant experience.

Got some good recumbent biking in at the gym yesterday. I'm trying to hit my goal a little early, as next week I have my first colonoscopy (oh, the joys of turning 50...LOL) and am having a 2-day cleanout, so my exercise will be pretty scanty from Mon-Wed.
It's not as bad as people like to tell you. When I did mine five years ago, there was a thread here in the forums that I read religiously every day and took some of the advice. Plus it was really funny to read and made me less nervous.
https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10069747/so-im-doing-a-cleanse-tomorrow-dont-try-and-stop-me/p1
Plus columnist Dave Barry wrote a fantastic column about his own experiences which I found on that same thread, I believe. I was laughing so hard I was crying when I read it. Worth reading for everyone because it's so funny.

No miles today, think of this as a public service announcement with fun links. I do a Stamp Out Colorectal Cancer 5K every March. One of the guys in my Boot Camp class is a survivor, he was diagnosed at 36. He's captain of our team. I'm a proud member of Team Semi-Colon There's even a giant inflatable colon to run through at the race.
