Last week I started with my new group of C25K. A small group this year. My running club restricted applications to 80 (we had about 280 register two years ago ... 190 out that graduated ). 60 of the current cohort have kept to their NY commitment.
I was allocated 11 participants. Two transferred to another group to be with buddies, one had surgery and pulled out, and two no-shows. I’m left with a group of six lovely and keen women. Hopefully they’ll all make it to the end.
@cpanus - hip surgery?
@clepant - sending you hugs and strength for you whilst yo do a very difficult job
@sufferlandrian - never, ever, bored with images of where you live and your beautiful dogs
@kar328 - a cheeky kitten
@Janet - ouch, but as you say, inconvenient rather than a big problem.

@kar328 - "Team Semicolon" that's hilarious!
Somehow I'm at 103/75. I don't know how that is possible. Today I went with a friend to bootcamp. I am already hurting. I can't imagine how sore I'm going to be tomorrow. But it was good to switch it up and have a new challenge.0 -

@cpanus - hip surgery?
Yep. Got bone on bone and it hurts like the dickens. I actually have another word for it, but we can't use it on MFP. I had back surgery in June for a pinched nerve then this showed up. I've been sidelined well over a year, and it's killing me. Hopefully, I'll be able to start walking again by summer.

104/75 Not many miles to report. I've been going to strength class, though, which is kicking my *kitten*. It's nice to switch it up. Plus my neighbor has been driving me which means I can't back out LOL.0 -

It has been a long year for you. Wishing you a quick recovery and hope your new bionic hip leaves you better than ever! Looking forward to getting back to your daily updates from your morning walks.0 -

I forgot to congratulation @Lovemyalex on making goal!1

1.5 miles yesterday in HIIT class. Followed by my last shift of my toxic job. I start a new one early Feb. I spent two years in this place, the shortest I've ever done in my professional career and staying there that long was a mistake, it affected my physical and mental health. My darling manager was on a personal call when I gave in my ID and couldn't even bother to say bye, just a wave. It feels good to be free of that. I celebrated today with a foot, arm, neck massage at a foot spa I love.

@sussexbythesea - congratulations on making your goal, in spite of health challenges!
@kar328 - congratulations on the new job. Good for you recognizing that was not a healthy place and doing something about it. And by the way, did I forget to congratulate you on making goal? Way to go on many fronts.
It was cool here this morning and I had a very nice run. My quads were burning after all the squats I did yesterday, but all good. I'm at 110/75. I have no idea how I got so many miles in when I barely made 50 in November.
Hope you all had a nice weekend.0 -
