Journal ~ could have done better with food choices today☹️ late night munchies of sugar free wafers pushed me over calories. my daughter and I met with a trainer at the gym. He showed us how to work out using free-weights, I attached the plan he wrote out. I did about 8-10 of each then we played around a bit on the jungle gym afterwards but I’ll never do that again! How IS everybody doing, time for a WRD?

I'm sorry, I forgot to track calories yesterday. But I did do week 3 of the "couch to 10K" and lifted some weights at the gym, which is now open.

I have been doing better with planning and tracking food. Exercise has been down, not because of lack of motivation but lack of time and space. I have been trying to work around everyones schedule and need for areas. I have been so busy this week its been hard to check in. I have been doing small fitness challenges that only take a few minutes. Squats, pushups, situps.
Hopefully, I'll get to start using the pool this coming week.
Our MUAC participation is still up. You all are doing so awesome.

    logged: yes
    under: yes, barely!!
    exercise: yes, 65 minute walk
water: yes, barely 8 cups. Went for a drive to a different town that had tomato baskets in stock. It is only 25 minutes away, but that means an hour away from a bathroom, and I did not want to find myself stuck. So, most of the water happened later in the day.
steps: 13,700. It's not often you get round numbers!!

I am not sleeping well. It is just too hot!! We need a window AC for our bedroom, because the central air does not reach upstairs. The ceiling fan just isn't cutting it!! So, I find myself eating more because I came downstairs again. Some of the calories I could put on yesterday's diary, because I had room. But the rest I put on today's, before today even started!! If I don't go over today, I am going to plan on over day on Saturday after my weigh-in. I just need a little freedom one day. Not a "free-for-all", but just some freedom!

    @HASWLRS
I'm sorry you're not sleeping well. I go through times that I don't sleep well either. I totally understand the room being too hot. We put in a window a/c and keep it at 65 and I still wake up sweaty.

Today was the last day of the kids virtual summer camps. So we'll be able to do more in the mornings now, before it gets too hot. Also, I finished The Invisible Man and the next book in my queue was Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis. Has anyone read it? I've tried to read similar type books in the past but I get bored with them. The next book on my queue is Outlander (I put too many e-books on hold and then they became available at the same time!).

@Krysless2 check with your local library! I can use my library card to access Hoopla and Overdrive, they're apps
where you can "check out" e-books, audiobooks, etc.

@HASWLRS yesterday the site was super weird, I couldn't see the newsfeed all day. Also, I know you mentioned having a little freedom on Saturday after your weigh in, that's what I do as well. I still log everything, but I'm ok with going a little over my calories. I think that helps with not feeling like I'm depriving myself.

Great loss! If your Tom works like mine this should be way off in what you actually lost! You’ve been very accountable this week so if you continue at this in the same stride you should be Partying in the 60s next week!

I've got to get back on track starting today. The exercise part is getting better, as I am doing a weekly bike ride and five days of the couch to 10K. I added a little strength training last week as well, and hope to do this twice a week now that the gym has reopened.

I have been looking back to see what has changed between when I felt like I was seeing the numbers go down to now. The only thing that is much different is I was exercising more. So I hope to get back into it on Monday.

@HASWLRS You sound like me on Tuesday, sitting at your desk reading and writing posts. Good for you for checking up on our members!! Hopefully it will give them that little bit of encouragement to keep them going. If nothing else, brighten their day. :)

I know I got up this morning and my first thought was Ugh...another day of getting steps and drinking water and trying to get in XX minutes of strength and stretching and for what? I'll probably get on the scale tomorrow and nothing will have changed. Some days it can be overwhelming. Like the mere sight of a 20 oz glass of water causes my stomach to say "If you send that down here I'm going to send it right back up."

So rather than putting on my Peloton app I put on my audiobook, got on my bike, and pedaled slowly and that's OK. Not everyday has to be a race, nor should it be. And here we are 8 hours later and I feel great. It helped that someone (not me thank God) made a huge faux pas on a conference call that had me laughing so hard tears ran down my legs!! But my day is much brighter and I'm ready to go out and get those steps after all.

I digressed a bit there but it's all good. Have a great day everyone!! <3

Having a good laugh always helps. I feel the same way about water. I filled a gallon jug and put in the fridge. It took me 3 days to get through it. The slosh is killer. I try to drink some in the morning and then sip away a little during the day.

Yeah, well, my "freedom" happened yesterday, so it was NOT after my weigh-in, and it was not a measured out, controlled sort of freedom!! Lack of sleep really does a number, and even though I know this usually happens, and I tried to prepare myself for it, I was not successful at preventing it. Because I don't weigh daily, or even at all between Saturdays, I have no idea what I weighed before this binge. It was a weird week, too, in that I was eating more than normal, but still "under" by the numbers. So maybe it was never going to be a great week at all...I'll never know. You can be sure that I will be keeping tabs on it this week, though, to make sure it goes back down.

    SW: 181.4
    Last week: 178.6
    Today: 181.4 (Sorry, team!)

So weird that it went right back to the beginning...it's like that first week of June didn't happen!! But I'll be damn sure the third week of June happens!!!
