My goal is one lb per week weight loss.
This week's big win was I persuaded my family to give me one shelf in our pantry specifically for my food. I find if I have to rummage through "their" food it is much harder for me to adhere to my food plan..the temptation is too strong.
Now, I have one cabinet to open, one shelf to look at.
Next week, onto the fridge!6 -

MOTIVATOR'S CHALLENGE JULY - ONE HEALTHY HABIT
I'd like you to post, each week, one healthy habit you have adopted, or that you want to adopt, to help your weight loss journey. It could be food related (like swapping healthy ingredients into a not so healthy recipe), exercise related, or an emotional/mental habit to support a healthy attitude to weight loss.
Some exciting news and new healthy habit for me all rolled into one this week. We've added Buster to our family. A 5 1/2 year old mixed breed from a local dog rescue. Absolutely no excuse for not making those 10,000 steps a day now.6 -
@Emmajhare Congrats on your new fur baby, Buster...he's a cutie and you're right...question is...is he gonna walk you or are you gonna walk him?! LOL ENJOY! I want a Yorkie so bad, but my Lacy (cat) has never been around dogs, so it doesn't seem fair...someday!

Blisteringly hot today, and while I didn't have birds in our birdbath, we did have some very happy hornets..so my mileage was pretty negligible..only 2,200 steps.1

healthy habit: using my apple watch notifications - it tells me to stand every hour, so I stand and walk around for a bit; it reminds me to breathe every few hours, so I take a few moments to check in with how I'm feeling and do a bit of mindfulness3 -
