Heading back to endocrinologist frustrated. Wasn’t the best eater all week due to busy/emotional schedule which affected my eating habits too much but 3.5 is terrible. After 30 years on same thyroid replacement dose has been adjusted 5 times in two years. Last change 4 weeks ago now I’m combating extreme fatigue and bloating. Anyone else with hypothyroidism and dose changes in your 40’s and older? Any and all recommendations welcome. Be well xxo

Hang in there! Next week will be better. I have been on thryoid medication for 34 years. My medications have gone up and down over the years but the last few years I have had increases 3 times. One really important thing with this medication is to not take it with food or other medications. I was doing this and my medication was not working like it should. You should allow a few hours in between. That is the only recommendation I have except staying on top of getting blood work to check your levels when you are feeling like you are. Did they decrease your medications? Maybe they went too low or if they increased it is not high enough. I would ask for more blood work. You should be feeling better from a med change 4 weeks ago.

    Friday’s check in
    Calories: over
    Exercise: 51 minute walk
    Water: ✅

    Steps 7/24 10,180

I am sad today as I adopted my dog Molly 1 year ago today. We lost her in March and I still miss her terribly.

I have decided to take a mini diet break for 2 days. I have been doing this for almost 1.5 years. I have never really taken a break and have logged every day except Christmas Eve and Day. Let’s see how my experiment goes.

    Today’s goals
    1. Walk 30 minutes minimum
    2. 8,000 steps
    3. Drink 8 cups of water
    4. Bed by 11:30 pm

Sodium is a killer for water retention. Next week you will see a drop.

I have done a lot of sitting in front of hospitals this week. Low step count.

    Steps

    7/16 4118
    7/17 10353
    7/18 10262

    7/20 1607
    7/21 1712
    7/22 7841

    How is Mace?

UPDATE! The diagnosis is very bad. Mace has a very aggressive form of liver cancer. There is no treatment that will make it better. The vet says we could do chemo but it won't change anything and I feel his last days should have quality of life. We will be giving him some natural remedies to stop the tumors from bleeding(which is what made him sick un the first place). That will be all. The doctor say 1 to 3 months. He's a strong boy so maybe he'll last longer.

Michelle I am so sad to hear about Mace. I understand your heartbreak. I lost my old boy a couple of years ago. He was my first “child”. He passed away when he was 16 and only a few months from turning 17 which was a good long life for his breed. It was such a hard loss for me and my family. Give him all the cuddles and all the love. Hold him love him and show him he is the goodest boy ever. Sending you all my love and extra strength

Thank you so much. I'm sorry you lost your baby. We just lost our first baby a year ago, he was 14. We had him for 13 years. Mace is 9 we've had him since he 6 weeks old. We just got him a brother a month and a half ago so this really sucks for our new boy. It will be difficult for sure.

    Good morning.
Sorry for my late really. I'm absolutely not in my best days and my scale is reflecting it 131,2 kg = 289,2 lbs My parents were coming on the 5th of August to see us. I have been living in the Netherlands and Belgium for 4 years now and for x or y they haven't been able to come and see where I live... And now it was perfect. My grandma already died, my grandpa is a bit more stable, my dad is not working, my mum is on vacations and my girlfriend will be on vacations. Perfect right? Well with the Corona in the middle now, things look everything but good. And apparently in Spain things are quite bad. So my parents told me that 99,99% of the chances is that they are not coming. The day that they told me I cried a river but I was following the diet and sport. And even though, with the stress involved I gained more than two kg. And now I'm like two days almost not moving and eating quite bad comparing to the diet.
If they are not coming now, who knows when they will be able....

I really feel for you right now. Myself and my husband are living in a different province than our parents. It’s been heartbreaking that we can’t go see them this year. Our parents live in Newfoundland and that province has closed its borders to the rest of Canada. Every time they give a date that they going to open the border it comes and they change their mind. I cry every time and feel depressed for several days. Our parents are older so we worry. The thing is we have to pick ourselves up and go on. COVID-19 is not going anywhere. Just think how proud your parents are going to be when they do get to come. Keeping up with your diet and exercise is so important to be able to dealing with all this. Let’s get you moving again. You got this!
