Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?

Yesterday, I was able to do something that I have always thought I was too inflexible to accomplish.
Yesterday, I rode a horse at the slow trot and did not bounce up and down in the saddle. Rather, for the very first time, I could feel the side-to-side alternating rhythm of the horse and allow myself to move with him.
I have always believed that I was inherently too inflexible to achieve that movement, so I just refused to try.
After several weeks of active stretching exercises and helpful coaching, I did it! I rode a horse in a more relaxed manner.
I'll be 70 on Thursday. My false belief has held me back since I began to ride at 23.
Maybe you too believe something that is holding you back...

Awesome work on the horse Rick! This morning I was sleep deprived (working nights and had to be up until 2am to meet returning students and escort them to quarantine). In the past I would have written off the workout, but I got in the pool anyway, and did a steady pace, and by the end of the hour I felt amazing.14 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes. I worked out for 1 hour this morning before work then walked for another hour on my lunch break.

That's awesome Rick!
Yes x3 despite having a burger for lunch.
Exercise was the ring fit. It's too hot. I know it's not as hot in the uk as it gets elsewhere but please save us we're finding it really hard.9 -
#4- fear of failure used to be a stumbling block for me. I still have to remind myself to be brave sometimes.
3x’s Yes! A day of gardening, hiking and swimming underwater falls. Finished with a strength class- abs and arms with my backyard workout crew.
I set and met my calorie goal today. I’m being generous with myself as I get back into the swing of calorie counting. Sigh, no more handfuls of trail mix for me.11 -

Yes x 3. I re-injured my foot today. 13.5k steps moving those beds for a total of 263 minutes. I see these numbers dropping like a rock over the coming days, as tonight I can barely put weight on it. But I can’t keep walking five and six miles a day, soooo...Looks like chair yoga and possible seated dumbbell workouts going forward until healed, I reckon. My boss is gonna be hot, but I have to take care of myself, right? I’ll be taking myself to the doctor in the morning.
I guess this is part of my self-limiting belief #4: I’m afraid of failing my team, but there comes a time where I HAVE to put my physical well-being above that job. If I go out? They are going to be even shorter-staffed, but I’d rather only be out a few days than weeks...14 -

Insightful post Rick, ty for sharing.
Yes x3 for me today. I'm struggling a bit sticking with the diet plan and feeling lazy on exercising, not sure why. No going back though; onwards and downwards.9 -

My report:
Well, after I do a day of extraordinary exertion, the next day is a recovery day with what I call "easy day exercises" 30 minutes of walking at a strolling pace. Tomorrow, I will push myself again. Stretching plus riding is on the list
Calories: under by a little bit
Tracking: kept me under by a little bit.

Yes x3
I ate a ridiculous amount today but that was due to biking almost 20 miles made up of three separate errands trips here in DC and 15k steps. Was under by 150 cal but that includes eating almost all of my 1000 exercise calories....

Well.. had a really active day - so that's good!
Trying to lower my calorie intake per previous mention...so - nope - over on that.
Did I track every morsel...- yeppers.
I'm still under TDEE for any tracker I've used...so that is good...but I'm going to have to map out my
intake ahead of time (always helps me to plan in advance...and adjust as needed by deleting. I'm sure I'm not the only one who finds that helpful)
So - eek...just used pass day 2. Time to SHARPEN UP. ;D
Nice post Rick... thanks for sharing you milestone with us and encouraging us simultaneously! Congratulations...what a nice way to look at your birthday on the horizon...knowing you accomplished something new...because you gave it 110% effort. I don't like to hear my kids say "I wish...." anything. I immediately feel the need to say...well wishing is nice...but what are you going to do to make it a reality? Now, this pot is not calling the kettle black... I have caught myself wishing... and now...I have some planning to do of my own.4 -

YES JULIEMOUSE - PUT YOURSELF FIRST...DO NOT FOLLOW MY LEAD AND CONTINUE DOWN THE PATH OF PUSHING THROUGH THE PAIN... YOU HAVE TO DO AS YOU STATED... YOU ARE A WISE WOMAN!4 -
OK - please forgive me everyone! I just have to tell ya...I did it! 6 AM walk with a friend again today. Planning 2 more this week. Heat index is above triple digits here in the afternoon right now - so morning is the only time this chica likes to be out.

Yes x 3 for Tuesday
Stayed on track with calories and tracking, have an hour of tennis scheduled late this evening. I definitely won't be snacking afterwards so this day's looking good.4 -

PASS DAY
Tracking: Yes
Calories: over and not good choices, although with exercise calories, only a few hundred off. I did not plan well. I was busy with work deadlines and just grabbed what was within reach. I will plan better tomorrow.
Exercise: Yes, cycle 45 minutes
Pass days to date - 3
@juliemouse83 - take care6 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yup, 47 active minutes on the fitbit today! Took a nice evening walk with my husband. I even got him to do some crunches, push-ups and stretches after! (He is very workout-phobic)
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Too far under. I need to figure out some calorically dense foods to round out my days.
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes5 -

Trail running 3x a week with dog. Shins and metatarsals still scream, but they are getting better. I keep making adjustments to posture, balance and form and things are shaping up. I've never been a runner, and had no idea how difficult it is.
Today, I was huffing and puffing and thinking "I don't want to do this!" Then, I remembered yesterday's 's post about attitude and thought, "keep going, you're doing good, you can do it." I finished the run and felt really good. My dog is thrilled with all the running too. He's trimmed down nicely. Scale hasn't moved for me, but that's ok, lol.6 -
Yes, yes, and yes. Yay!5
