I worked in my home office all day. My only exercise was a vigorous 30 minutes of active exercise. It's an easy day exercise.
Tracking: good
Calories: just under my limit.7 -
Yes x 3, I'm still trail running/walkng 3x a week with my dog. Made it up to 14 minutes of running, then 45 minutes walking. I definitely eat my exercise calories, and feed my dog extra on trail days. In between, we're just walking the neighborhood, so we eat less.6

Yes X 3 for me. I eat my exercise calories back sometimes.7

I try to keep my deficit to less than 300 calories per day. Depending on how active I’ve been that day, I eat back some exercise calories to get there. I am in no hurry and I don’t like being hungry (no one I know wants to be around me when I’m hungry). I find MFP to be generous in calculating exercise calories so I use my watch to determine my total energy expenditure. I try to log what I’m eating as I’m preparing it - this way I know where I’m at especially with macros — if I don’t, I am way too low on protein. I have also been working on limiting added sugar and tracking in real time helps me adjust what I’m eating to keep it in check versus tracking at the end of the day and saying “ooops” even if I’m within my calorie goal. I tend to eat the same things, so posting usually entails the “copy to date” function.6 -
3rd August
Exercise: Yes, 30 ,minutes walking. The temperature went down from 40° to 30°, but still too hot to do much walking.
Calories: Yes, stayed under. My shop bought food was salad, less calorific than the curries.
Tracking: Yes, logged everything.
I try not to eat my calories back, but occasionally take a few when the maths doesn't quite work out. I find logging a bit of a pain sometimes, especially when I am trying new foods and have to look them up. Being in France doesn't help, I try and find the right brand or name, as the database often gives quantity in cups, which I cannot really work with. I try and plan ahead and log ahead, so I know what I can have.7 -
Today is my birthday, so I'm taking my first and only pass in August for it.
I did get in 28 minutes of barre upper body strength + 3 mile run this morning.10 -
Yes x 3
I do often use my exercise calories, but I am sure that I would reach my goal weight a lot quicker if I would stop!😜7 -
I more often than not eat some of my exercise calories but not today... Varies with me, back to work now so my 'crutch' is 4 hrs cleaning 'in the bank' which I don't count, any cleaning over 4hrs I do count...
Exercise yes 10 min quigong, 25 min leslie sansone, 30 min strength training, 150 min cleaning, 60 min walk, 20 min gardening
Tracking yes calories yes6 -
Yes- only 93 calories remaining but still didn’t go over.
Yes- 129 minutes on my exercise ring
Yes.
I tend to eat my exercise calories most times. It helps motivate me to stay active. I also have a all or nothing way of self sabotaging. If I go over my intake I keep going. I know it doesn’t make sense to go overboard like that but in the moment that is what I do. The exercise calories offer a cushion to help prevent that.7 -
Yes x3.
Exercise was a nice walk - beautiful day in this part of the world.
I eat back most exercise calories. I don't eat back from walking or yoga and mostly don't eat back 100% but if I'm hungry then yeah I will.8 -

"If you have been with the UAC for awhile, please share your own personal choices in how you treat exercise calories."
I eat my exercise calories back, but not all of them.
First of all, I don't own any fitness devices. In addition, I'm not going to the gym right now (which has machines that measure calorie burn), plus I do a LOT of exercise at work due to the pandemic.
I don't know how many steps I take or how fast I walk, run, or do other exercise. If I exercise outside, sometimes I can measure the distance with my car and use the time and a math formula to come up with my speed and calorie burn, etc., but that gets to be too much.
Secondly, ordinary people like you and me (mostly not healthcare or fitness professionals) enter data into the MFP exercise datebase -- so it's probably not accurate.
It's better to lowball my exercise than give myself big calorie burns that most likely aren't realistic. I leave a buffer for safety.6 -

You shouldn't feel guilty about that, because MFP ALREADY builds in a deficit, and presumes you will eat back the exercise calories. If you are concerned about over-ambitious MFP exercise credits, some trial and error will help you determine what % eaten back will keep you at about your expected rate of loss. You need to feed your muscles and provide fuel for the biochemical processes. 1200 is as low as MFP allows women to go, and if you aren't short / practically at your goal weight with only 0.5 pounds x week target, you might be set at too ambitious a rate of change.2 -

Extra:
Daily Water Goal of 7 Water-Bottles: 1
Pass Day Count: 2
@RangerRickL Thanks for today's discussion. Trying to get back in the habit of tracking calories. I need to be doing this after each meal versus late at night, or worse, the following day.

LOL
MPF only gets "mad at you / worried about it and doesn't want to give you credit for being under target" if you are under 1,000 - so you DID meet the "minimum cal range"2 -
