Well, I woke up to some rocking and rolling. My bed was shaking, dresser was rattling. Looked at my clock and told my husband I think we’re having an earthquake. Went to USGS. Sure enough we had a 5.1 earthquake in North Carolina! I expected this when I lived in California, but not here. Thanks 2020!😳😬7

Didn't get to kayak, but did take a nice hike yesterday. About an hour. It was nice to get out. Love the photos of all your adventures!
Like @jugar said Sunday is fine for your steps. I want you to have credit for every one of those steps. Thanks to everyone for getting those steps in.3 -

I hate when that happens. Eleven little steps. I've done the same thing. We know you took those steps somehow.1 -
@lovethyneighbor Are you participating in the step challenge? I'm not sure. If you could let me know that would be great. Don't want to leave you off or put you on if you're not interested.0

Hello all!
I have had a few quite days and just needed a little break from all the crazy stuff going on in life. My husband's school offered him a one year leave of absence which is really nice!
@jugar the sauna sounds great. I've been teasing my better half that since he's a house husband now if he wants to build one, I would be his official sauna tester😁
@micki48 You are right to know that scales are jerks sometimes. They are not the whole picture for sure!
My scale has been up, up, down, up lately. But...I had this pair of pants that I bought without trying on because I had some in a different color. They were miss labeled and too small by a lot. I just shoved them in the closet. Now, they just slip right on! Before, they were probably 4 inches from closing.
@terytha I'm sure we are doing different types of dance but I am loving my ballet inspired workouts. I get it! It just feels good to move your body to music and have fun.
@eggfreak and @jguldi11 love all the good food! Yummy 😋
I'm still trying for the perfect day. I need one and it's been a while. I'm closing the gap and getting closer. Any day now6 -

I didn’t sign up for the step challenge since my I sit all day at work. I barely get over 5k a day, sometimes less.1 -

Hmm not a great day. I'm struggling. We're going through a heat wave and my kitchen is unbearable to be in for more than a few minutes + we're out on day trips most days, so not much food prep/cooking. So I have not been logging since Friday and was careful not to eat junk but probably overdid it at mealtimes.
Ugh, it's hard to stick to sometimes.
Tomorrow is a new day...7 -

Well the weekend is ending yet again. How do they keep doing that?
I hope you are all ok with the weird and unexpected earthquake in NC @micki48 ! We had 2 in Québec many years ago, and it is one of the oddest feelings ever. I suppose people in California and other faulty places get used to them.
Today has been spent running between our sauna and the kitchen and the garden - LOTS of veggies were frozen, made ready for sauces, or turned into yummy stuff like zucchini bread today, and serious progress was made on the inside ceiling of the sauna. My husband built the sauna before building our house 27 years ago (yikes! is it that long???). We were living in a 2 room cabin (with an outhouse) - and a baby, a grand piano, and several computers. He is a programmer, I am a musician, and the baby was toilet trained on an outdoor toilet! It was starting to feel a bit cramped, so we built a new house. To clear the space for the new house, the trees we had to cut were milled and DH used them to build the sauna before the house, because he knew it was going to hurt to build a house! Every day when he and his building partners finished work, there was a race for the pond and the sauna. It got pretty loud. In any case, the sauna was long overdue for some repairs. I can't wait to have it back. There is nothing like winter sauna. @conleywoods - tell your husband he must do this. It is the cat's meouw.
The final results for week 1 will be up sometime soon! @Beka3695 had a crazy day with a long drive, so she will get them done when she can. We did not have the best huge loss numbers, but we had the largest percentage of team members in the green. Congrats to our top losers -
@Gidgitgoescrazy and @eggfreak tied for 1st place!

It's the end of the day and I did it! I finally had one of those days where I checked all the boxes and met all my targets. Calories were about 1250 and lots of fruits and veggies. Walked for an hour and did a 40 minute ballet workout. Hopefully this will be a trend and I can stay on track.11

My weigh in today is at 190lb x4

Steps for 8/9 = 2261 + Kayaking, we kayaked for a long time, but I also sat for periods, and hung out under the trees because it was stupid hot out there, so I think it would only be fair to say I actually kayaked for 120 minutes, even though we were out there for 4 hours..
Food wasn't great, I definitely went over, but It is all good, my breakfast and lunches were good, it was dinner that wasn't so good, but my days never went over 2k cal either, so it's all evens out, because I keep it a little lower during the week than some may think I should...
Anyway, on to a new week.
Have a great monday !
