@vhuber: This not to spur on an argument or cause fighting, but you are very fortunate to live in an area with wide open spaces and no Covid. Unfortunately, I know a number of people who have lost family members to it. My hubby has an incurable hereditary respiratory disorder and it would be a death sentence for him. He does not drink, smoke, take drugs or is over weight. I know people that have been on ventilators for almost a month and they survived and are still suffering the effects of it months later on what you call the flu. Not all the people that have died are obese, drug users, or diabetics. In fact, I have several young running club members that have trained for Boston and run some tuff marathons and they still feel like they got run over with a tank and have chronic fatigue. So please count your blessings and pray for all of us that live in areas where it is still running rampant.

As we don't have access to N-95 masks, I had on 3 layers of mask One cotton, one non surgical and one triple layer. Really, it still doesn't help. There is nowhere to get N-95 masks unless we work in a hospital. So I guess choking smoke is the order of the day.

@clepant, I agree it can be serious for some. Any flu can be & YES we pray for those who have become sick & pray for and end!

Closed up cabin today. I opened it in June & closed it up today. The only 5 or 6 hours I spent there all summer! Had husband drop Georgie & I off 2.5 miles from home.

STarting a few sessions with a trainer tonight, so I went for a walk in leggings and a tee shirt. It's 57, so that walk ended up being a measly 1 mile. The gym has an outdoor yoga class starting right now, I think that's going to be hard to be comfortable doing.

New trainer is the guy who teaches my Saturday Boot Camp. He's a lot of fun. I bought a few sessions to make sure my lifting form is still there and just get back in the swing of things.

Stay safe people! Our office just got our flu shots for patients, and I'm always encouraging people to get them. That being said, I'm getting mine from the local grocery store - $10 gift card there - :-)

@vhuber thinking good thoughts for hubby

2.1 mile walk, it's a bit sprinkly now but supposed to be 3-6 inches later due to the remnants of Sally.

Had a good session with the trainer yesterday. I'd been with my last one for about three years so it was good to get a different perspective.

This is our sunrises in W. Pennsylvania that are being affected by the smoke through the jet stream.
The sunsets are worse. Hard to believe we experience this being nearly on opposite coasts.

At least you get to see the sun. We have not seen it in over a week. With over a million acres in Oregon alone and the rest of the West Coast fires, not surprising that you all are being effected.

Got home at 9:30 this evening! DH was up & walking (with a walker of course!) this afternoon & did so well in his physical therapy session that the surgeon said he may get released tomorrow!! The pain block had yet to where off though so we will see tomorrow. I then went & watched the 7 yr old GS play soccer. His team won 4 to 0 with Liam scoring all 4 goals!! He is quite the athlete! Then he & his older brother rode back to the farm so nana didn't have to drive alone in the dark.
Did some hall walking & Georgie walking but nothing to post about!!! Have a GREAT Friday everybody!!!
