I gotta say, I don't quite get the pumpkin spice thing but anything with cinnamon can't be all bad.
Everyone ready for autumn?

Super ready. I live in Tucson and Fall is about the only season I miss from Ohio. But we have had an incredibly hot Summer, that is still going on. Tucson's all time record was like 94 days over 100 degrees. We are at 101 or 102 and counting. Supposed to be over 100 today, tomorrow and perhaps break Wednesday.
Makes for a much longer swim season, but I'm ready for relief at this point. Evenings aren't terrible and mornings are cooler, but 12 to 5 is nasty.1 -
Cinnamon can be good. Real Bourbon vanilla is good, too, but I don't think that's one of the flavors in pumpkin spice.
The combination of cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and ginger go nicely with winter squash pie (pumpkin pie). It gets kind of overbearing on everything else, so much that it makes me like pumpkin pie less. And I have some pumpkin to cook!1 -

Dang. Now I want pumpkin pie!
Other than that, I'm not a big pumpkin spice fan. I like flavors . . . varied flavors. Everything being pumpkin spice seems weird to me. (and most of the "pumpkin spice" things are waaaaaay too sweet for my tastes, besides).
Rowing season will be over soon, after starting (in the time of Corona) very late, only recently. That kind of ticks me off. Still, there have been some gorgeous mornings on the river, recently: Flat water, sunshine, friends.
On the plus side, too: Georgia Candy Roaster winter squash. Trees along tje river mixed green and colorful, looking like a bouquet, with egrets for decoration. Days cool enough for some happy biking. Still some big pink flowers on the Mandevilla 'Alice du Pont' out on my 2nd floor deck (it'll come in soon, when the killing frosts come). The last few weeks of fresh from the garden oregano, sage, thyme, lovage, tarragon, dill, cilantro, basil. Lotsa goodies at the farmers market still.
So much of my limited socializing has been outdoors this year, and that'll be over soon as Michigan gets cold. Back to Zoom and phones, I guess. I'm sure I can find some things to keep me happy. Might make that pie - freeze some.1 -
@AnnPT77 -- how about Cross Country Skiing? Seems like Michigan has great trails for that and lessons as well in certain areas. CC Skiing, at least from what I'm told, is a great compliment to rowing.

It's great, and I love it, but it's a little iffy for my bad knees (and osteoporosis!), so I'm hesitant to go out all by myself as I used to. None of my friends are into it. Right here, we only have suitable snow for a limited amount of the Winter, so it's not a reliable regular thing to do locally most Winters either, unfortunately. (I do have skis, so I can go if the stars line up properly. I even got new bindings/shoes so they'd fit my thinner self better.)0 -

I don't get the pumpkin spice everything either. Oh well...1
