It was 50 degrees when I got up early this morning so I put on my shoes and went for a 90 min walk! Good thing, because as the day went on it got colder. That was the warmest it was all day! Brrr. Spent 4 hours on the road today driving to Cinci to visit my sister.10 -

Regardless of if you're in the Winner's Circle, Champion's List or logging in (even occasionally), we're all here for each other: congrats for our solidarity!

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? YES | Active rest day which left time for: Cooper Test (17), Isometric Challenge (6) TOTAL: 23 min
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? YES | Base + 205
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? YES |
---|---|---|---
I'm starting off the month with the humbling fact that I'm "AVERAGE" for my age and gender according to the Cooper Test 😂 I ran - well, jogged - 1.5 miles in 16:15 and could only do 21 modified push-ups. Will do the test again MAY2021 and will ideally be under 14:00 for the running portion and able to do more push-ups without crying.
For the remainder of the month, I'm doing a sandbag workout. My grey Dimok aqua bag is just sitting under my bed, collecting dust and looking lonely. Meanwhile, I need to lift heavy even though gyms remain closed.
Let's get it, guys 'n gals!10 -
Congrats to everyone we all work hard and are all winners don’t ever give in low key day minimal exercise with the dog tracked logged8

I am going to try this Challenge again. October was a tough month (Thanksgiving and my son moving to Prague) so I didn't even sign up!
Today was rainy and windy, but there was a break in the weather just before the lunch hour so my husband and I got in a 55 minute walk, and we even saw the sun a couple of times. I also did Day #1 of 30 Days of Yoga with Adriene, since November has 30 days in it! Food was logged and there were calories to spare!!
Welcome back!! Since you were last here, a new "UA Champions" list has been started along side the Winners Circle LIst. If you keep on reporting (no matter what) you are a CHAMPION!6 -
Welcome to the new members and welcome back to everyone else!
Month #2 in the UAC group. Happy with how October went. Did well in the challenge and also took off 5 lbs along the way.
I am expecting November to be a challenging month. I would like to make the winner’s circle again, but at worst, I will accumulate the least number of passes I can. With all that will come at the end of the month (Nov 26 – 29), I need to really stay focused every day leading up to those dates.
For this round, I’m going to start logging my net calories since I think I should be looking into what portion of exercise calories I should be adding in. I have been getting some thoughtful input on this. There is likely going to be some evolution over the month, but I know there is a delicate and individual balance regarding total calories, I will update as I define. Starting the month on the same premise as October, with no exercise calories added.

Welcome to all the new members ( some of who I may have missed personally saying hello )
To the rest of us who have done this already, here is to finding new ways to improve on what we have already learned by being here.
I wanted to share a good book that I have been reading and one I think we all could benefit from. Title of book: Give to your heart's content without giving yourself away Author: Linda R. Harper
This book has really made me look at myself. A very good read, some quizzes along the way, and insight into ourselves. We often thinking of giving in terms of money or gifts, but we can also give our time, a listening ear to a friend, a random for no reason card in the mail to a friend etc.. The book also goes into how we feel about giving and do you give to yourself? If we don't give to ourself first then we won't be able to give to others. I wonder how many of us in here can relate to this example? Are you giving to your mind, body, and soul first?
Example: I have been doing good on my logging every day and exercise, but haven't been getting as much sleep as I should. I find myself up so late trying to finish a workout, eat my dinner, finish up on cleaning etc..Do you tend to give yourself a reward for something AFTER you have done everything else first? I often go to work, clean house, laundry, etc..then its finally time for me to spend walking on treadmill and listening to my music ( something I really enjoy) We should be putting ourself first and its not being selfish to do this. We are no good to anyone if we are not good to ourself. Do you feel that there are days when you litterally have no time for yourself?
So this month I am changing a few things! I got up this morning before anyone else. I sat and read my new Star magazine and more of this book. I texted a few friends. I ate breakfast and did a few hours on my treadmill while listening to my music. Took a shower and had the day to spend with my daughter and son-in-law and my husband. I felt great! My exercise was completed, my food choices had been made, and I gave to myself first instead of last or not at all!
I think this book will not only help you in daily life look at things different, but might help you move that scale as well. On that note..Good luck to us all!

Yes, yes, and yes. I was planning to do some formal exercising but spent much of the day doing yardwork. Amongst of other things I removed all the now frozen plants from the garden, dug weeded and now have the beds ready for spring. I was pretty tired.
Congrats to all who made the winner's circle! And Rick thanks for including me in the also ran list! Will shoot for the winner's circle this month.7 -
Congrats to winners and champions. I started the month with pass day 1. Food was good, all accounted for and understand budget but I didn’t exercise. I donated blood on Saturday morning which combined with a crazy week of work and training plus my body healing all of my bruises and scratches from work and training (mostly from the vicious little penguins) to leave me totally exhausted. I spent most of the day in bed watching series and by the evening I felt normal again. Ready for a good week.9
