In the UAC, you are the boss of you.
Nobody else decides:
1) what is a 'good enough' exercise style or program
2) what is your ideal caloric intake
3) when you are going to track (but asap is very helpful...but not required)
You are your own boss!

Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes just
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes8 -
morning 7 minutes done.
See my Dec 3 entry ...
(if DH can't find my fitbit One, I will have to sync up my backup fitbit Zip ... both were "still in the box thrift-store" finds. Not fancy, no heart-rate or "you seem to be rowing, shall I count the exercise-burn at that rate?" capability. But certainly suits my needs.)7 -
And I finally have a triple yes day. Morning run was slow but good. I didn’t want to overdo it after my dehydration but it’s good to get out and prove to myself that I’m all better. Did some reading and then watched series. I have a long shift coming up at work starting Monday and it looks like it’s going to be a busy stranded season. First rough sea when there aren’t that many puppies born yet and we already have 32 cutie pies that need to get back to their moms by next weekend Tuesday. The worst is usually around Christmas, if there is bad weather during that spring tide. Anyway, I’m taking it easy while I can!
Ate well, all logged and under budget. Being lazy keeps from at home where there is only healthy food and saves me from spending money on junk, so it does have its perks.
Here are the first 12 of the seal pups who arrived yesterday. Another 20 came in today.

I will have to take a pass day today as I exceeded my calorie intake. Really outdid myself in the food department during and after our wine tasting/bottle blending event this afternoon and then a bit of an outrageous dinner.
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, I completed my FitnessBlender workouts (had 2 videos scheduled for today) but little walking/no running due to storm coming through meant that I only earned an extra 507 cals.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Unfortunately I exceeded my budget by 350 calories.
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes, even though I knew it'd be ugly I made sure to track it all. For this I am pretty proud.10 -
Suitor is taking me to an indulgent date night. Thus, I had collard greens for breakfast with some tomatoes, the same for lunch and my hummus snack. Can't wait to have wine, pasta, and a dessert for my diligence. Exercise: walk and yoga. From what I calculated, I should be at calories Will revise if I'm not.10

Finally, after months of trying, I am sticking to real lifestyle changes and seeing the results... Now I only need to keep logging it here.8 -

It happens Stella even to people who have been practicing healthy routines for a long time! I am impressed that you even came back on the forum to say I have a confession to make and I went on a food rampage! That post right there tells me that you are gonna be just fine, realize you are human and slipped up a bit, you made it known, which is good to say it outloud, and you are back to it today! Way to go Stella!5 -
Though I know weight numbers are not the primary focus for us here in the UAC, I want to share that for November (a fairly challenging calorie month) I managed to get rid of 7.2 pounds, and for the October Challenge another -5.0. I am now weighing slightly less than October 2019, which seems like a miracle. Target weight is in sight (129-130 – weight at my nephew’s May 2019 wedding) and doable in the next couple months. I am grateful for the results. Also notable for the November UAC, I entered and walk/ran a virtual 5K. I looked at the results and I came in 154/357 for total entries, 87/234 female, and 19/87 over 50 female. I would have been happy if I even came in last, because I entered. Being in the top 50% is super motivating even though I know this kind of race is not full of competitive runners.
So now for my December UAC. I am starting by raising my daily target calories by 50, and will be re-evaluating this every 10 days, as I want to start easing into my eventual maintenance calories. I don’t want to get go from lower calories to higher calories in a single day. I will be trying my best for the Winner’s circle, but need to be realistic and will at least commit to showing up daily and aiming to be a champion and aim to clean off 2 more pounds during December. Then, during my next 9 days in the Keys, I plan to walk/run to Sombrero Beach and even try to get you a sunrise photo (will take some planning ) and get back home. Google maps claims the distance is 3.3 miles each way. At for the rest of the month, my brain can only cope with planning til the 12th. Will regroup again once up north again.
BTW in November, I did not opt for eating back my “exercise” calories like I had planned. My problem with the method of eating back each day’s exercise calories is that that calorie number not compatible with advance planning and tracking, and I like to plan and pre-track my days. So this is the reason I am going try upping my planned daily calories instead and that way I can continue with the pre-tracking that works well for me.
Here we go!

How exciting! I like how you say a " suitor " is coming to wine and dine you tonight. It reminds me of how they talk in the old time movies with Cary Grant! LOL
Have fun tonight and sounds like you prepared very good in advance for your meal that you will be having tonight!3 -
