Some team members work on the weekend. Some members rest on the weekend. What does a weekend mean to you?

Hmm, that’s a tricky one. I rarely work the same schedule in any two weeks of a month, which means I do work on some weekend days and not on others. I guess the main difference for me is that on weekends I don’t have evening Jiu Jitsu class (we do have morning classes sometimes) and some of my friends are more available to spend time with (because they work a normal schedule). This weekend I’m not working but then I’m not working during the week right now either.
Today was a bit up and down as my plans were dependent on other people. In the end, I didn’t run because by the time plans were finalised it was too hot so I did yoga, abs, wrist rehab and shoulder rehab to make up for skipping a proper session yesterday.
Food choices were ok except for choc chip flapjacks for lunch (don’t go shopping hungry!) but all came in under budget (when I cut out the cheese and bacon from supper).5 -
2 days off from work for me, I work as a domestic cleaner so try not to leave my 'chores' for the weekend, in some sort of lock down at the moment.... walking

Honestly, I spent most of yesterday thinking it was Saturday. That is one of the problems with being retired.6 -

What does the weekend mean to me. I think I get to go see Bandit a little earlier since I am not technically working. I also can get up a little later if I want. Not much difference but more laid back I would say.I really liked the curves in this photo last night. Bandito is progressing well. Leg is still swollen but we are now doing a lot more trotting than walking and adding in some canter and a lead change here and there.6 -
Exercise: yes, bike ride 30 minutes, cardio 40+ minutes

Tracking: yes

It was bitter cold and damp this morning so only a short bike ride.
What does the weekend mean for me? Well, I’m retired so there’s no work schedule to worry about. I usually see my boyfriend over the weekend and quite often have my mum to lunch on Sunday but these days of lockdown all the days tend to blur into sameness. One day I'll be able to go out on a Saturday evening!

Working remote the weekends don't seem quite the same. Really it just means I can get in longer workout sessions.
Yes, yes, yes.
I am super happy with my Pelofundo performance. I got in 50.66 miles today. Last time it took me both days of the event to get that. If my legs feel okay tomorrow, I'm going to try for another 25 miles.6 -

The weekend for me is a time to catch up with friends and family that I missed during the week. No one in my building physically goes to work anymore so people are getting on each other's nerves and they complain a lot. I listen a lot and try to be a calming influence as much as possible. The weekends we get to watch a good movie together and rehash our week. Right now it's the best we can do.5 -

I've worked from home most of my career so weekends look like weekdays look like mornings look like nights. The pandemic has amplified that though especially since travel is restricted which is quickly driving me insane. I've booked time off for November to go...a-n-y-w-h-e-r-e

Weekends for me are my days off from my M-F bank job (currently working from home most days); but I do work some Saturdays at the chiropractor's office giving massages. I worked today 9-3pm (although the last 90 minutes was a massage "trade" with another therapist where we give each other a massage - we do this once per month). Today I got home in time to go outside and take a 2 hour (6-mile) walk. Busy, busy day... and I'm beat!6 -

Exercise: I had a true Saturday today in that I got to ride 3 different horses. I am owned by one of them. His name is Cocoa! I rode 2 others and Cocoa was ridden by 3 other people. It was a lot of fun. Almost one full hour of actual active riding and almost 2 hours of horse related activities with walking; lifting, etc.
Tracking: despite all of the activity, I was still over on calories.
Calories: over by more than 200 calories = Pass Day One for January

My calorie rule for January UACDefining, for myself more than anything, what is the definition of my daily calorie goal. For Oct and Nov, I used 1430 and not eating back exercise. December, I raised that to 1480 with no additional calories for exercise. For January, I am going to try a blended rule; either Food calories under 1480, or Net calories (ie Food minus exercise) under 1200. So, if my exercise burns less than 280 on a given day, there is no added calories. BUT, if I exercise more, I have the option additional food OR if I overeat, I have the option of exercising more to not use a pass day. This flexibility was not something I allowed in my previous rounds. Once I exceeded my goal calories, regardless of my exercise burn. Also, I am defining that I am using the MFP estimate for the caloric burn from exercise. I know I could get different numbers elsewhere, but I am going to use only the one source – good or bad.Date: 1/1
