Hve a great day my friends! I hve just finished going to playgroup followed by a walk with bub now trying to find the motivation to do a hiit workout along with cleaning the house. This last 1.5 kg ive got on me is very stubborn so I'm hoping adding 20 min of hiit training in my day will do the trick. 🤞🤞🤞 See u all again tonight. Xox10

Yesterday, @pamsja shared that she had 'the smartest Pass day that she could imagine".
Even though she had a Pass Day, she avoided going off the rails.
Too often, once we go past our chosen limit, we then throw away all restraint and wind up gorging ourselves.
A Smart Pass Day is the result of thoughtfulness. The UAC is all about thoughtful intake and output.
Congratulations to @pamsja

My fitbit is constantly telling me that for my "age group" I am averaging below normal for the amount of sleep. Honestly since it only "counts" real sleep and not all the time you are in bed, I think it would be impossible for me to get more. The only way I could do it would be to have less awake time. It tells me that I am awake over an hour most of the time... Sleep is NOT underrated but I think their statistics might be a little off.8 -

As far as going off the rails. I agree that Pams' method illustrates perfectly the way to be successful in this journey. One of the things I have learned in my maintenance journey is that it is important that I eat ALL the calories so its a choice to be both NOT OVER AND NOT UNDER esp since I eat to TDEE and on my rest days all the stats howl at me that I am over eating. Of course on my longer run days they also howl that I am undereating but somehow that is not as frightening.
And also important to me is not only staying on the track but not giving in to the rollercoaster effect. You know the one where you over ate one day so you try to starve yourself the next and then you fail again and again. Much better IMO is to just continue on the following day and over time those extra cals (which you DID log) will even out.

8th February:
Exercise: Yes, walked for about 35 minutes, not too fast, as I am still a bit wobbly.
Calories: Stayed under easily, appetite is not quite back either, but I did enjoy my easy, homemade lentil curry!
Tracking: Yes, logged everything. I had more or less pre-planned today's food, so tracking was easy. Done the same for tomorrow.
Also managed to mop the kitchen floor, got rid of a load of emails by either chucking them, filing them or even replying to them and felt jolly pleased with myself at the end of a pretty good day. Rewarded myself by finally finishing my book in bed!10 -

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, 1 h 9 min of walking ( with 4:30 of jogging within ).
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes 1,198 / 1,200.
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes, 2,500 ml of fluid.
Today I finally reached a new weight ( haven't seen in three years ) = 85.6 kilo/ 188.7 lb. It made me grin through the day. I thought about doing extra effort to lose more weight this month, but after deep thinking I changed my mind, we tend to work harder than we can and that's make us give up sometime. So, I would rather take my time to improve my athletic ability and lose weight, than to work hard one month and stop.
Good night everyone ❤️18 -
Pass Day #1
Taking a much needed rest day.7 -
@thabit11 - congrats on the new weight! I am of the same mind as you... slow and steady gets the job done 🙂. I gave up trying to avoid eating my exercise calories for much the same reason. I can comfortably make it through a day if I use the extra calories from exercise (I’m at 1200 calories base too), but start feeling deprived if I don’t, which ends up with me throwing in the towel on the whole thing. I will lose more slowly, but I’ll (hopefully) keep it up!

Had a really hard spin class today but felt great after it. The ride was all the more fun because I had treated myself to some spiffy new leggings (even if no one sees me but the cats).7 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes. My after coffee routine of 30 bike and 10 arms.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes. I went for another ride after dinner, just to make sure I’d have enough calorie bank for dessert. Jokes on me though. Now I don’t want dessert. Although it scent is making my mouth water.
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes.4 -

The last few days have been tricky especially with yesterday's spread but I did stay on track.
@thabit11 congratulations on your weight loss 🎉 that's a healthy approach going forward.
@SummerSkier I don't think your fitbit registers your sleep until your bp has dropped for 3 hours consecutively tossing and turning included. As long as you feel good the next morning that's all that matters. 🛌😴

1 pass day remains after a disaster of a weekend 😬. I was 4lbs heavier this morning than I was Saturday morning. I mean it was bad but not THAT bad 😂.
A fun thing that happened today: I got a new ring from the hubby. I haven’t worn my engagement ring in years - I’m not really a diamond girl. We got a diamond because that’s what you’re supposed to do and at 22 (when we got engaged) we were to young to really push back on what people told us we were “supposed to do”. So after years of not wearing the diamond solitaire, today I got this rose quartz ring I’m calling an anniversary band that I will be wearing in its place and I am slightly obsessed with it. It suits me far better than the original ring and I just love it. LOVE 😍 Major props to the hubby (who is morally opposed to diamonds so I am not offending him on the least by not wearing it). I also have a 50# loss ring I ordered as a present to myself coming at some point (will share pics of that when I get it) for the other hand - so soon I will have a new ring for each hand. I’m feeling pretty lucky over here today. Lol.
I hope everyone else had something good happed today too! ❤️

Yes, yes, yes. Although I only made the calories based on exercise, I was about 100 calories over my eating goal. Not terrible, but probably not for the best. No pass days yet this month.5
