3 x Yes today, but just barely on calories. My husband decided to make a batch of homemade ice cream today because it's already that time of year in south Texas. Highs in the 90s for the rest of this week! ☀️
I managed to get in 30 minutes of cardio exercise even though I was in no mood. Fortunately, that later helped offset the ice cream.

@dsgoingtodoit I am happy your Mom is healing and that you are on an upswing too!

@SummerSkier I got a low grade fever and fatigue with both shots, but it is an outstanding reward for the inconvenience.3

Lots of exercise today; active stretching; farm chores; walking and 2 hours of horseback riding
Calories: indulgent food choices almost derailed the day
Tracking: good5 -

@RangerRickL Great one! I was taught, in same situation, “to just lift the two corners of your mouth.” I use it frequently- even tho like I I was skeptical- and it works Every Time!! Thanks!dsgoingtodoit wrote: »I should be on everyday again... My Mother had a massive heart attack in March. She is doing well...very blessed. I dropped off the boards - but thanks to the accountability challenges from the past year - I was still in the mindset to aim for my 20 minutes or more a day and to track on most days.
Anyway - I'm out of the circle for April due to not tracking for a bit - but I'm back on it.
So - tracked all food today.
Exercise - yep - walking dogs and possibly zumba and weights later - but that's tbd after a 6 hr drive
Hoping for the best.
Hugs to all members I've known awhile. Look forward to reconnecting. For newbies - "howdy".

@dsgoingtodoit
I’m so sorry to hear about your Mom. We’ll be hoping for the best, too, so much they can do these days.
I’m so glad you are back. Perhaps just begin April as of yesterday. I think you can just begin now! Extenuating circumstances.
Huge hugs,

Ate my first meal (lunch at art museum) out since Feb 29, 2020. Ordered well. Listened to my body’s signals. Was sure to eat a good breakfast & not wait too late floor lunch. Brought snacks for later on so I didn’t feel I needed a bigger meal.
#MaybeI’veGotThis? Time will tell.
10.1 K steps
1 hr walk after 5 hrs mostly walking around &standing n an art museum !!6 -

It was my son's funeral on Wednesday, actually very beautiful, restricted numbers but several people spoke very movingly about him.
I got quite a lot of walking done, hard to sit still, racked up 12,000 steps.
Food tracking and calories went by the board obviously.10 -
7th April
Have been feeling low and sleeping badly for a few days now. I try and listen to soothing/ boring podcasts, which help me get back to sleep, but sometimes they insert themselves into my dreams. The other night I woke up to my 10-year-old very British granddaughter speaking perfect Mandarin, which turned out to be part of an advert.
It was also my youngest son's birthday on 7th. He's in London, UK, and I had booked a trip to see him on his birthday last year, which got cancelled due to Covid-19 of course. Last time I saw him was Christmas 2019.
My uncle in Canada died last week and was buried on 7th. My cousin sent me a Livestream link to the funeral, which was very sad, as there were only 7 direct family members by the graveside. My other cousin, his son, wasn't allowed to travel, nor his sons, as they are in Northern Ontario. My Mum is very sad, as this was her last remaining brother. I am a link between my cousin in Canada, who I am quite close to, and my Mum, because of my fluent English. My Mum can manage, but with difficulty.
I managed a 20-minute walk, minimal again, stayed under calories and tracked.
There are little bits of silver lining though. Will write about that tomorrow...9 -

@Chinkiri
Focus on the positive, definitely. While the distance may be great and the time lengthy, the link is still there. Technology helps. My family is spread out which has meant we have always traveled some. Not being able to do that has taken a toll on my Mom but the pictures on the family share and some zoom calls or facetime calls have meant the world to her.4 -

I gave into some late-night carb cravings so my protein went from 38% to 29% in under an hour 😬 I'll be checking for that moving forward (perhaps more water will help...but, like, sea salt-infused dark chocolate, amiright?!)1 -

@Mizspiffy Have you tried pretracking? The majority of my successful days are done that way.2
