April Week Four
Weigh In Day: Thursdays
PW (Previous Weight): 170.0 (April 15th)
CW (Current Weight): 170.0 (April 22nd)
LTD (Loss to Date): 64 lbs
I will most definitely take a maintain. This week has not been easy on me. Between stress eating and exercise bloat, I was expecting to slide back up into the mid-170s. Last night was the first time in a while I slid back into my pretzel&jam routine; while I recognized at the time that it wasn't doing me any favors, I didn't stop myself.
Food:
As mentioned above. I haven't been doing so great with food. I thought I was, but then I spent too much time focusing on reaching that deficit that I ended up bingeing. I need to get back to finding my balance and rediscover my old methods of managing late night dessert cravings. Maybe it's time to reread an old blog or look back at my food diary when I used to take notes every day. I'll figure something out, I'm sure.
Exercise:
Here's where I've been doing very well. I don't have an exact count for you, but I've done a lot of workouts this past week. Not too many, don't you worry. Just doing enough to keep me busy, keep me moving, y'know. And I had a rest day yesterday, which was much needed after Monday and Tuesday.
Also, I've officially completed 850 spin classes. I'm debating leaving the studio at 1000 if they haven't hired me by then. There's a bit of drama going on that I'd like to distance myself from, and it doesn't make sense to pay for two gym memberships, not to mention there really isn't much more room for growth on that bike.
Mindset:
Things are rough right now, and I'm doing what I can to try to adjust and respond. I've been through harder times before and come out on top. Just a matter of being kind to myself and sticking to what I know works. And maybe not buying more jam after I finish my current jar. Maybe.5 -
Sunny is in town for the weekend and my son volunteered me to watch his friends pitbull too! These two are actually really good dog friends but I get nervous because of the size difference!!!2 -

I'll take the small loss. It's been a busy week in my house. My granddaughter has pneumonia, they did a covid test, she hated every minute of that. My son has to have another surgery. I'm losing track of what number this one is in the last 2 1/2 years. I am having an mri on my foot tonight to decide how invasive of a surgery I will need. I am definitely not doing any surgery until later in the year. I hopped on the treadmill Tuesday night even though I didn't want too. I have to squeeze in some workouts somehow though.
@goingape you will be a great moderator.
@KUMEcyclingteam good luck on your journey
@lennoncpa the dogs are so cute. We just watched my sons 2 giant dogs, we have a little dog and they got along great. My dog also could not wait for them to go home.3 -
@goingape yay!!
@minstrelofsarcasm you're killing it with your workouts and making me look bad ;-)

I believe my weight is up due to muscle development. My diet has been good. I'm working on my legs (my goal of adding muscle) and I over did it. My legs have hurt all week and still sore this morning. My steps are not as good as I have wanted. Run coming in this weekend, but in Boise that doesn't mean a flood. Maybe I'll still be able to get a hike in.

Sprained elbow this week. I was trying to do a wall walk at my gym. It didn’t go well. I heard a pop and I was down. Now, I can’t lift with that arm for at least two weeks. My instructor asked how it happened? I suppose my elbow ligaments can’t support my weight! I don’t know, but I do know I’m going to be scared to try it again for quite some time.2 -

No surprise on the tiny loss this week. I had a crazy work week and five doctor appointments between me and the kiddos so I missed two workouts. I also went over on my calories three days. This next week will definitely be better.2 -
@minstrelofsarcasm @melaniedscott
I think it's time for me to leave the team. Thanks for all your hard work!4 -
I am super excited to have April as team Motivator! I know she will do a great job.
I see lots of losses and some strong maintains this week. Awesome.
It has been quite a week. I don't know why. Maybe the balance testing Monday or the snow on Tuesday threw me off. But busy and weird.
Hoping to go to the botanical gardens today to see more flowers and they're having a vendor showcase, too. Local art, wine, jam, jerky, crafts and such. They didn't do it last year and I'm looking forward to it. And to walking a bunch and seeing gorgeous flowers. I'll leave my husband out near the lake and walk to my heart's (or feets) content. Walking is about the only consistent thing I can do (and sometimes not that). I just have to keep moving.
The testing Monday was 'inconclusive'. But my hearing in the right ear has improved the past day or two, so Yay! Win.
Sorry to hear about the sprain, @rachelrjh ! That is no fun.
@ljdanny I hope your granddaughter recuperates quickly (pneumonia is no fun) and that your son's surgery goes well.
@tryingagain5 we will be sorry to see you go. Hope things continue to go well for you, you've made progress with us and I'm sure you will continue! Take care.

Ok I need to really get back on track. Definitely do not want to be in the 170s. All of my clothes that I had bought are now too tight. So there's my motivation. I don't want to have to go buy bigger sized clothes3 -

Thanks. I do plan on continuing to work hard.

Thanks. Yes, I'm enjoying working days. It's so much nicer than working nights. I will continue working on my weight loss journey. I hope you continue to do well also.

I’ve been on the struggle bus for the last few weeks. Looking to getting my eating under control and back to a healthy place. My exercise has been going okay so I have maintained that positive habit at least. Mini goal will be a return to the 140s. It’s a real mental boost for me.
Thanks for the welcome everyone. I’m excited to be a motivator for the team and myself ! I will send out a separate message tomorrow for some motivating vibes.

The Green Challenge Percentage of people who lost weight this week. No matter how small the loss the weights are recorded in green. Remember that even if your team doesn’t rank the highest in weight loss for the week you can still be the Green Percentage winner by having the most losses in your team! So keep it up!!

You must go to The Netherlands during the blooming season. I was there in late April and early May several years ago. The tulip fields are cool - they’re like big wheat or corn field but all tulips. And the Keukenhof Gardens are amazing!! It’s a huge botanical garden with every color of tulips you can imagine, some grown to create different images. The flower auctions are interesting too.0 -

Ooooh...that sounds amazing. Maybe one day.0 -
Did my weekend 4 mile walk for pastry. Saw wonderful flowers on the way.
Iris season is upon us!!! I love iris, too. Okay, I just love flowers.
Tried the passion fruit cream croissant today. It was yum. Usually do the raspberry cream danish. They've also got a lemon cream croissant that is nice. I usually regret not getting the raspberry danish but not so today...warning: food porn ahead (spoilers: don't open if you don't want to see amazing pastry)3
