    Oh my gosh we got 4 inches of snow today and are getting 2 more tonight! I was so energized that I organized my closet, walked to the mailbox and spring cleaned my bedroom!!! As a result, I did not get my workout in until tonight, but I did it!!! Like Leslie says, "there is no wrong time to work out!" :blush:

    A very strange thing happened today though. We have Common Loons up here on our lake and they call each other, usually toward dusk. They are the sound of summer and it is so comforting to sit by the fireplace outside on a warm summer night and hear them calling to each other or warming others to stay away. Imagine my shock when it is 28 degrees, snowing like mad, I am walking to the mailbox and I hear the loons calling!!!! It was such a surreal experience like, what season am I in here!!!! :laugh: I imagine it must seem even crazier to them! :wink: Living in nature is an experience every day!

    Hi all you walkers!

    I managed to hurt my left knee last week while walking the dog. Standing on a ledge made of mostly rock but just enough dirt to collapse under my right leg. I went out from under me and the left knee came down on rock. It didn't hurt too bad at the time, but became a problem yesterday while shopping. Felt a little better this morning, but I'm going to give it a few days to calm down and see how it goes. it's not swollen and it doesn't hurt all the time, so I don't think it's anything serious. But, I might not be able to finish this months challenge. 😕

    @AnnofB -Oh No! That sounds painful!!! I have had that happen to me when hiking as some rocks hide their unsteady nature! :explode: Thankfully, I usually fall on my hip because of the incline/decline of mountain terrain. My son always says "Mom, watch your foot falls!" I'm only 5'3" so I am always "watching my footfalls!" My feet just sometimes fall on loose rocks! :laugh: Baby your knee and hopefully, it is just a bruise that will mend quickly! :heart:

    Hello ladies! I haven't been posting my workouts, so I used my exercise diary here to piece together as best I could. I am working a lot of overtime (nearly 15 hours a week) and am doing my best to fit in a workout when I can.

    Hee-hee, about always watching your footfalls. Yeah, you never know in rough terrain whats going to give and whats going to stand firm. So far so good. Just did a 3 mph walk and it's OK. 😊

    @Deeder522 I thought you did great at WDW!! I have only seen 17K steps on my Garmin when I have been out hiking all day and I certainly did not have 13K the day before and the day after!!! You poor feet earned their day by the pool!!!!

    @RisingAboveIt It is hard to fit in workouts when you have to work so much over-time that is for sure. You said you were checking your exercise diary, which suggests you got some workouts in in spite of your over-time and that is what counts. Logging your exercise in MFP is more important that posting here. We all understand that there are only so many hours and just so much energy in a day as we have all been there. We'll still be here when things slow down so no worries! :smile: :heart:

    @AnnofB It will take more than a rock to keep you from your walking goal won't it!!! :laugh: Most people would have tried one mile at a time, but not our Ann-she goes for the 3 mile walk! I am glad, however, that you did not hurt your knee too badly and are back to normal.
