Good sunday morning to all. Quick coffee and the computer before by day.
Saturday was another day with no formal exercise. Hubby and I are considering our own version of @rangerrickL 's downsizing, so yesterday I began tearing apart master bedroom and bathroom. This whole house either needs less "stuff" in it (reason to clean) or needs to be seen by real estate agent (reason to clean). So I am on day 2 of working on this and hope to have finished this one room/combo by the end of the day - essentially 10 rooms and storage room plus bathrooms to go. Yes, this house is too big for two humans and pair of cats. Friday we put a refundable deposit on a townhouse that would get completed in 13 months from now. Unfortuntely, unlike Rick we would end up 15 minutes FURTHER from all family. The boston area real estate is going nuts, so there is a give and take regarding choices. Nothing out there is the perfect scenario. (I wanted perfect layout, move in condition, perfect price and close to family - a girl can dream, right?)
Anyhow, yesterday was pass #7. But over the past two days I did learn something. 1600 calories is not my TDEE when not exercising. I am at my lowest weight now since 1987. After trying on clothing from my closest, this weight is bringing mixed emotions (even some skinny clothing are baggy now).
Need to work on my exercise. This morning as I stepped on the scale, and look in the mirror at plain old skinny, I realize I need some shape back and that has to happen via muscles. New non-muscle weight at my age will likely land as a tire. I was listening to Jordan Syatt yesterday and he was pointing out that calories deficit is for weight loss while exercise is for muscle/strength. At my current point of trying to maintain, it gave be something to think about. Off to finding the floor of my bedroom (thank goodness hubby is out of town until tonight).10 -
@SModa61 - Sounds like you are being plenty active, cleaning up a full house filled by life is not easy, explains why you are trimming up. Are you thinking of straight up strength training by chance since the target is muscle development?1

@whatmerunning I would love to do pure strength training again. I have done it in the past. Problem with the heavier end of that exercise, is it needs bigger equipment, which either means outfitting a home or joining a facility. Problem with that (and I won't get any pity here), is that we have three homes in different states (mass, maine, florida). So with a gym, in the mass and maine scenario, that means two gyms at the same time payment wise. We go back and forth with an imprecise pattern for 5 months. Could so planet fitness, but I also likely need some refresher guidance. Not sure trainers work in them (they do have staff but unclear about their knowledge). I have dumbells and TRX and can do body weight. Even if I don't go that way, I think I need to focus on "pushing" myself with whatever I do - in the cardio genre that would likely doing the running more often than the fast walking or indoor bike that I have up north (florida I have a spin bike - Maine I have NO equipment and place is small).
That's where I am at
I also meant to add a note to @mshawski I did read your post to me the other day and I added it to my notes. I don't think I acknowledged you and now cannot find the original post, but I have already extracted its contents for my word file.

A really good day for me. I got in my steps around the garden and soaked up some vitamin d to help with recovery. I realised tonight that I haven’t really had much of an appetite (this realisation came when I actually enjoyed a normal full sized meal for the first time since I got tested.) Working my way through the freezer and enjoying the options I’m finding there.
Still got the blocked sinus but don’t feel run down or anything so trusting I’m basically over my plague.
Tomorrow I’m going to add some light yoga to my walk for exercise. I’m hoping to be ready to get back on the mats as soon as possible. Got some stuff to work on post competition.7 -

I had a lovely Sunday, thank you @RangerRickL. I hope you did too. Went for an early walk, about 40 minutes, bought some more little plants.
Did another 20 minutes on my way to and from the cinema, where I saw a film on a big screen amongst other people! First time in months and months! Well spread out, all masked, of course!
Had some nice food, but stayed under by 4 calories, without using exercise calories!
Logged everything.
Have a good week, everyone!6 -

This Sunday was good - lunch with the family went well in spite of the dreadful weather which meant that we weren’t able to get outside. (We’re not really allowed to mix three households or more than 6 people but went ahead with 8 people from 3 households. However, all the adults have had at least one vaccination, and mum and I have had both shots)
I'm a bit behind with reading posts - I shall catch up tomorrow.

Went for a walk in the Central Park and meant to take a new picture for you all but got lost in my thoughts. NY has lifted the mask mandate for vaccinated people, and this was my first outing without one! It felt a little weird but was nice not to have it given the warmer weather.

Signed up for the June UAC! I'm going into the last full week of May with the intention of finally completing a full week of the workout program I said I was committed to.
Surprisingly, my metrics have still improved despite eating more (without enough protein) and exercising halfheartedly. This is not a trend I want to continue, however, as that's a bit too precarious considering my personality and past lifestyle habits.

Yes x 3 today. It's taken about 3 weeks but today I finally noticed I had some stamina and was able to push myself while exercising. I am happy with that NSV.9

Hi all!
Happy Sunday! Sorry for the radio silence the last couple of days... they were not great days, and in fact this whole week is going to be tough for me... so I’m going to take this time to give myself a break, get my head back in the game and get back on track. Thanks as always for the incredible support! I’ll see you back for the June challenge!
E-hugs to all!14 -

Class at gym and a whooooole lot of stuff at my mother’s house from gardening to installing window unit air conditioners to hanging clocks. Then home for garden stuff and moving heavy things around the patio. I called it 60 minutes of yard work in my calorie journal, despite being at it for hours, because I’m still unsure how to properly harness the yardwork or house work exercise options. Logging 6 hours of hard labor seems like cheating. I decided an hour would do. I do know my calories burned number today was quite high, and now I need to stretch becuase I feel like I was hit by a truck 😂. I do enjoy the fact that it seems like due to my efforts at the gym I’m equally as able and efficient at moving the heavy things as my husband now. 😎💪🏻
This increased eating to fight the plateau is weird though and I feel like I’m cheating daily, so I feel like I’m fibbing by not taking a pass day. 😒
@MaltedTea - I seem to get stuck at like 130 and can’t seem to get over that hump. At least it’s more than I was eating? I’ve got a lot of egg white, cottage cheese, and fake soy sausage and meatballs lined up this week so maybe I’ll hit a higher number. I don’t know how sustainable it is though. What protein powders do you enjoy?
@SModa61 - No worries at all, but thanks for the note. 🤗4 -
